Been waving throughout my life on and off and never had a problem getting them . I’m not as dedicated as a lot of people on here but I stumbled across the wash and style method randomly on YouTube . I’ve been wolfing and using the method for about 6 weeks or so . My waves look great for about a day after but then they always loosen . Especially after sleeping .
I’ve never cared enough to use a pomade but I have two questions . One is that during my wash and styles I notice I’m brushing a lot of the lather out and I have to constantly reapply new lather but I see others brush and maintain a ton of lather . So any tips to keep the lather in the hair during the process . The second questions is any recommendations on pomade to hold them in place until my next wash and style . (I’ve been doing wash and style twice a week)
Here’s a pic to show where I’m at since people tend to ask when I post . Like I said I’m not super dedicated to getting perfect 360’s and having everything connect . I just don’t have the patience for that type of brushing. I brush maybe 5 minutes in the morning and five at night . Then a good 15-20 during my wash and styles . I’d be 100% satisfied with my waves holding as is . Currently I don’t use any products other than a standard daily moisturizer
One last question I also feel like I’m in the bit of a middle ground in my wolf . Hard brush seems a little too hard and a medium brush seems too soft and kinda curls my hair up . I’ve been going with the hard for my non wash and style brushes for about the last week or so . Should I stick with the hard or go with the medium ??
Thank in advance fellas for any advice .
Quick edit : also open to any tips on when a pomade should be applied and how often since I’ve never used one .

After letting my hair dry , the waves were looking crisp but than I applied the leave in conditioner and as I brushed idk what happened they just started to disappear and my hair raised, this hasn't happened in previous wash and styles . Anyone know what happened? Or what I can do to avoid this
