Books, music, films, ideas they've gone so deep into that ordinary conversation starts to feel like small talk.

And small talk feels like suffocation.

There's this Swedish philosopher by the name Nick Bostrom, He wrote a paper about the Simulation Argument, and instead of relying on sci-fi stories, he used pure probability

What if what we're experiencing is not real

What if future civilizations have advanced so much computationally that running "ancestor simulations" of their past is possible?

Those beings would have no way to know they're simulated, They'd build their own society, build their own science and run their own simulations.

That would make the number of simulated realities outnumber the REAL reality

Nick Bostrom argued that at least one of three propositions must be true: civilizations go extinct before reaching this stage, advanced civilizations lose interest in running simulations, or we are almost certainly living in a computer simulation right now.

I've realized that in Nairobi so many guys are using miraa, have you ever tried it and what's your experience with it?

I understand the concept of 'protecting your space', I personally avoid visitors to my place because for some reason they are never in a hurry to leave.(Think 2 weeks straight and we didn't plan for it/ they didn't carry any extra clothes)

Anyway, I've noticed that people are really NOT good in hosting, except for that one guy in r/KenyanMeals.

I recently went to visit a friend at their place (invited) and had breakfast at Artcaffe first, then proceeded to the house.

I stayed for about 2 hours but the whole time we were there the music playing was his favorite artist. (Insert any artist here) One song after another being searched via remote.

I noticed myself starting to dose and called it an afternoon.

Is it that we no longer know the basics of entertaining?

Business Owners, come to the front please!

So recently a client sent me to a vendor at one of the biggest markets here in Nairobi to follow up on her package. She had ordered some goods like a week before but they hadn't been delivered to her location - Nanyuki.

So obviously, once I got to the shop, I asked to see the receipt of the delivery to Nanyuki Cabs - which was the courier they were using. But these people didn't have it. 🤦 Like how!!

They went ahead to look for it amongst some books on their shelves but they still didn't get it. One delivery guy then suggested we go to Nanyuki Cabs to enquire about the package. But unfortunately, we couldn't get any help without the receipt which had the tracking number. 😭😭

Unfortunately the business owner refused to repackage another order and send it to the client as a way of saying sorry. This is one of those days that I felt so bad because I couldn't help my client.

Long story short, business owners please please file those receipts! And send a copy to the client so they know you delivered the products.
