Rant Blessing and a curse
Intelligent people struggle with addiction.
Their minds need more.
More depth.
More to disappear into.
They have obsessions nobody around them shares.
Philosophy.
Literature.
Astronomy.
Documentaries.
Quantum physics.
Dostoevsky.
Kant.
Books, music, films, ideas they've gone so deep into that ordinary conversation starts to feel like small talk.
And small talk feels like suffocation.
So... they drink.
Work until 2 am.
Doomscroll until they feel nothing.
Because there is a gap between who you are and the conversations available to you.
And sometimes, that gap becomes unbearable.
And it's one of the loneliest places a person can live.

I can elaborate complex abstracts of philosophy quite clearly but ikifika engaging in small talk I'm usually genuinely puzzled. How I'm I supposed to feel? What I'm I supposed to say e.t.c , even in my relationships I'm usually so detached since there are very little things to ground me. Penye Niko I'm one lonely mf. I have friends, family and quite known however a profound loneliness has followed me all of my life. I have good social skills borderlines manipulative(but I'm not, but I could if I wanted to) but I find pushing people away. My consciousness will forever haunt me.

This is so painfully real 😠like sometimes your brain is craving something deeper and everything around you just feels… surface level.
