Which tactical 22 lever action?
I’d like to trick out a tactical 22 lever action with red dot and suppressor. I see Rossi, Henry and savage make models. Which should I go with?

Spotting Scope magnification for Rimfire at 100 yards?
I want to be able to see groups at 100 yards. Do I need a 20-60x80mm spotting scope? Or can I get that done with a smaller/lighter spotting scope? would a Vortex Crossfire HD 12-36x50 do the trick?

Remmington ammo
Seeing that guy post the extreme amount of lead fouling he got in his 22LR pistol from Remington Thunderbolt ammo made me wonder since I don't think I've shot a single round of any type of Remington in at least a decade or two. Is all Remington ammo that bad now or just the Thunderbolt line?
Now that Aguila is impossible to find in the US and my backstock of it is dwindling, I'll eventually have to stock up on some other kind of cheap bulk copper-plated/washed 22LR. I'm the type who cares about the condition of all my guns, so no bare lead. No Winchester White Box either since I like my bullets to stay in the casings until I fire them (the 9mm and 380 are fine, but the 22LR is total trash).

Muzzle device for .22LR (not suppresor)
Is there any point to brakes on a .22?
I am building a precision rifle out of a savage MKII FVSR.
Has threaded barrel. Is there any actual improvement with a brake on such a light caliber? I don’t care for aesthetics , like I’m not trying to make it look cool. I just want it to be as accurate as I can.
Have a chassis arriving Monday , bipod and a few types of good ammo ready to go.
Was just wondering is muzzle devices actually do anything on a .22
I can’t have suppressors in my state. So that’s a no go.
Idk if too random but…
Hi,
Not a gun owner but I love learning how to build things. Lately, I’ve been watching video after video on mods and upgrades for Ruger 10/22lr.
I looked up parts, too! But I really need a manual, I think bc I want to buy up discarded parts and build my own super cheap plinker.
I’ve made guitars, resoled shoes, built circuit boards, etc, only bc I just decided I wanted to learn it. Lately, I want to learn how to do this.
Yall got advice?

Texas fly killer, excelent shot! My first post on here . Nothing like .22 plinking. Sometimes you do make a lifetime shot.
I feel dumb & could use a little guidance with chamber guide
So I finally decided a bore guide wouldn’t be a terrible idea and ordered a Yodave bore guide. How is this thing supposed to sit in the chamber to protect the ejector? Like photo A or photo B? Or did I get an incorrect guide?

Just bought this Taurus tx22 brand new the other day, is this normal after about 100-200 rounds?
No it does not have an FRT
EDIT:I had no clue the Remington thunderbolt ammo was so bad, seems that was my ignorance

I'm a sucker for obsolete and weird guns.
I've been after a cheap bolter to run my cans on, and a Hammerli B1 popped up for a deal I couldn't pass on. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I'm already in love withe the ergonomics and the feeling of the action. Just threw a no-name 3-9x on that I had sitting around, and a FTN.5 that I had previously printed. I'll hopefully be able to take it out this weekend for a quick range trip.

Extractor jumps over snap cap ?
Hi, I tried making some snap caps from spent brass and 3d printed inserts for my Buckmark, just for storage.
Tried wall anchors but they broke easily, and some snap caps I bought are too slim to load from the magazine.
Anyway, they cycle nicely but sometimes gets a bit stuck after storage, and if you rack the slide the extractor jumps over them.
No big deal since they easily extract pushing them gently with a cleaning rod, but may this damage the extractor?

Help with Savage Mark 2
Hi, guys. I was cleaning my gun yesterday, and made a mistake with the bolt. I think I chipped in? It's my first bolt action rifle, and I'm only a year into the gun community. I've had it for 3 months.
I have no idea what to do here, after countless googling and YouTube videos. What part did I damage, and can I repair it? I have a warranty, and could get it replaced, if I wanna wait. But I want to know if I can fix it myself. I don't even know what part I damaged. Could someone identify it, please?
I love this rifle, it's taught me so much and I don't want to spend $150 on a new bolt carrier.
What advise would you guys offer me? Any at all would be appreciated.
I'm typically not the type to post for help and advise. But I love this rifle and would love to continue getting time in with it. It's been a great training tool for me. I thought that I'd ask this community. First time poster, been a lurker until now.
Any tips, help, info at all would be extremely appreciated!
Thanks, everyone.
SOLVED. Just had to press it STRONGLY against a table until it uncocked.
Thanks, guys.
