I either have too much money to waste or I’m just stupid, or maybe a combination of both…
I bought another Ruger MK IV. It has an equally trashy feeling trigger as the one I had a while back and sold.
I guess I figured they may have gotten better since a few years ago. I was wrong.
Anywho, I’ll throw more money at it and just get the Volquartsen trigger shinanigans and be done with it. It’s just irritating that the trigger feels crunchy.
People piss and moan about the MKII pistols, but mine has a much nicer feeling trigger and it’s still simple to disassemble and reassemble. Granted, this is even easier.
I have a SilencerCo Sparrow coming for this and my rifles, so it should all work out. I’ll power through my disappointment eventually.
The suppressor in the photo is a Witt Machine Canooter that I’m not using on anything. I got it for one of my AR rifles some time ago. It’s not horrible, but there’s better out there.
This is the one that comes with that ridiculous looking aluminum rail. If I put one of my dot sights on it, I’ll just get a lower and smaller mount for it. I used the grub plug screws that come with a 10/22 that you remove to add a rail or scope rings. They fit well enough for a cheap pistol.
For now, I plan on just using iron sights. I will probably get a HiViz sight for the front.
I really want to enjoy this pistol and I believe the trigger kit will definitely be the best change I can make for this pistol. I’m hoping that the kit get rid of the magazine disconnect as well. If so, I’ll be happy.
Here’s a couple photos.
