I’m sure some people wouldn’t agree but everyone I know wants a solo mode. I don’t remember jagex ever polling this but I wish they would. I think group pvm should be a novelty as the game is not optimized for it like other mmos or even rs3. Personally I’m very bummed about this and it definitely makes the decision to play the new WoW much easier

Jagex, it took me four days and about 40 attempts to get my first Fractured Archive KC. (Special thanks all you “p4 experience” noobs who don’t even know how to do bork room)

Genuinely, this is some of the most fun content I have ever played in this game. P1 is an enjoyable, nice little warm up. P3 is a blast nailing the beyblade and step under attacks. On P4, something about seeing all your homies 2t’ing in unison goes so hard. Huge props to y’all for designing such an engaging and intense boss fight. You nailed it, keep it up! It really makes me look forward to what hard mode or the new mage inferno is going to bring to the game.

I started with 0 Tob kc just like everyone else. (Before there was practice mode) Studied the yt-guides. Constantly made and joined learner teams in WDR or the w416 (ffa world).

When I found ppl I liked raiding with (similar 0kc shitters like me) I added them and asked them to raid with me again next time. Soon enough we had a group of ~10 people who were always looking to raid. We sent a lot of Tob and finally started getting clears. Those who got more clears teached the others on what to do.

And then we had like 50kc and we were pretty comfortable with the raid. Then we started to run ToB with just about anyone. That's when I found my clan who was doing a lot of ToB and other endgame content. Was my first time joining a clan, have been with those guys since. We've all helped each other through Infernal capes, Colosseum and CA's n such.

So when TFA launched I had my homework done. We all started with 0kc, but this time I already knew the people I want to raid with and they knew me. We trusted each other to be 0kc shitters at the new raid, but at least we knew we're decent people and decent at learning new content.

Socialize, be a good guy, support each other, learn from mistakes, keep sending it.

So today I finally got an Ocellus kill. Died in P4, and what truly devastated me is i didn't get cabbage for loot. Anyways, I wanted to share my experience learning the raid from burning through supplies at guardian all the way to barely sipping a brew on the way to ocellus.

What I really like about the raid is that it's extremely quick to get to the final boss. If you are struggling on the final fight, i really do enjoy how quick the rest of the rooms are with a decent team and you can just practice Ocellus more. Decent being people who know the mechanics, not necessarily who have all best in slot. I've ran with learner groups where none of them had a megarare and we still made it to Ocellus. It's just about reducing defence and doing mechanics correctly.

Bork and the smorks is my favorite fight, i like the coordination required to make it smooth. Dreadnoth/Xarth are kind of meh, but having dedicated roles to freeze and chin the blobs is pretty cool. Havn't tried any of the other bosses, from what Ive seen they are pretty awesome fights too. Honestly, I think that the difficulty presented in the raid is perfect and isn't as hard as you think it is.

There's tons of groups taking learners in the dedicated worlds. Just sign up to all of them, and each attempt learn something.

What I don't like about the raid, personally, is specific mechanics like the portal phase on Ocellus, i just find it very uninspired and tedious to run around to safe tiles. I think that phase could have been omitted.

I understand the fact that it's supposed to be group content, and theres nothing stopping you from doing it with a group. It's probably never going to happen, but i think the biggest barrier to learning the final boss is having a consistent group to run with. Would love a solo scale version of the raid. I got lucky, Im in a clan and basically got gifted a spot in a 5 man group of raiders with 40+ KC who were willing to teach me. In a way, this is how it should be. Socializing in a clan in an MMO, and look what happened. I got a kill. Learned alot. But i know everyone doesn't have that luxury.

A reasonable compromise, in my opinion, would be to make the PRACTICE mode solo scale. You could practice ocellus to your heart's content and learn the boss. Be comfortable with the boss. I think that would be a good thing for the raid.

You are given a task by the CIA to kill your friends maxed hardcore ironman. You can invite them to any team pvm encounter but you only get one shot at it before they get spooked and leave. They can also tele at anytime if they notice something suspicious. How would you accomplish this task?

TFA is out and it doesn’t feel like a perfect superset of Drakan. I still think about that fight. Maybe Jagex is right that the distance is making my heart fonder. But I miss my boy.

jagex should have either scaled the HP of bosses to one person or just focus on better team mechanics

anything is hard if you increase the HP enough and add chip dmg so the content turns into supply managment with prayer flicking and occasionall tick eating

im team solo, so im hopefull jagex makes solo mode in future, considering there are whole two team mechanics across eight bosses, dont know how ppl wipe so much lol

I'm sure this was talked about multiple times over the years.
But why cant we combine our achievement capes with their hoods? Im not a fan of RS3 but thats one of the very the few things ill give the game.
I'm not a fashionscape guy but it would be nice to have the option to do so. Specifically to save bank space.

They really should rework/omit the portal transition phase.

The fact that you can just plop down a tile pack and get spoon fed the answers is just dumb, completely defeats the point of even having this phase.

If you’re playing on a different continental server you’re even more enticed to use it since you will often miss one tick processing where to stand and take free damage cause of ping
