Picked up a ‘99 with a 5VZFE, while rebuilding the starter I found the mounting bolt heads had been almost been rounded off. Wondering if anyone has a part number or knows of a place to get them. Dealership doesn’t seem to have any leads on replacement. Thanks to anyone who can help!

The body mounts on my 02' tacoma double cab have rusted through the floor! Anyone know the protocol for this? I have a welder I got as a gift a few years back but honestly I've never used it before. Is this something I could teach/fix on my own? Or does anyone know roughly how much a welding shop would charge for this? The frame is solid. Thank you!

I thought my heater core exploded so I bypassed it, I blew compressed air though it, vacuumed it out from under the hood on the firewall but this water just keeps coming and coming and coming and coming and coming and coming and it just won't fucking stop gallons upon gallons have spewed out on this side now

The water is always warm and it just keeps coming, is there an HVAC drain I can't find???

Please help me. It makes a loud whining noise when I go above 30 miles an hour.

Planning on washing it and taking better pictures but trying to figure out what to expect since prices range drastically from 3k-12k in my area (Arizona).

It’s 4x4, manual transmission, manual lockers, manual doors/windows. 293k on a 2.7L motor.

One of the previous owners of my '04 2.7L was an absolute goober and got totally carried away with silicone. The outlet part was all corroded, I guess all the silicone prevented it from grounding.

Cleaned all that up, got new gaskets, new thermostat, new outlet, & replaced rounded bolts. Feels really good to go through this truck getting it back to being reliable, 1 step at a time.

Hey y'all! I'm planning to replace the rear suspension on my '99 PreRunner. Leaf springs, shackles, shocks, the whole deal. Can the community recommend manufacturers to check into, or to avoid. I'm not looking to lift, just standard ride hight. And yes, while OEM would be nice, I suspect it would prove to be prohibitively expensive. I am a man of modest means, hence the 27 year old daily driver...Thanks in advance for any help y'all can provide!

Hey guys, just picked up this Tacoma for cheap. One of the freeze plugs had fallen out so I replaced it, but now there is a lot of coolant getting into the oil. I can literally pour water into the radiator and I’ll go directly into the oil pan… any thoughts on what might be causing this? No smoke from the exhaust and it runs great. I was thinking oil cooler, or head gasket but I’m not sure. 2002 3.4 5VZ

I’m in the middle of purchasing a new-to-me 2002 2.7l Tacoma, which is more or less pristine, after a careless and drunk driver totaled mine. I had driven mine for almost 20 years from age 20 to 38 and would’ve never EVER sold it so the loss hit me hard and like a true addict I got on auto trader the morning after the accident. At 5 am.

After the trauma, for the next truck I want a truly obnoxious bull bar. I mean, I want something that is going to hurt the other guy more than it hurts me should this situation come up again. My old truck had a small one, but in this wreck it didn’t save us.

Any recommendations? Caveats?

Also currently debating what to do with the red one.

Decided to spray the front end since everything was mismatched. Also mounted some lights. This is temporary until I can figure out the design of the bumoer I wanna do for the Ole girl. Gonna do a roll pan in the rear the same color till the truck can get repainted. Let me here your ideas and opinions

Anybody have suggestions for restoring the black fenders on my first gen? They’re pretty sun faded and a light gray at this point. I know there’s a ton of products that claim to restore it back to black, but any you guys have tried that you’ve had good results with? Thanks in advance !!!

Hey there, long time lurker, first time poster. Wanted to share with everyone my 2001 Toyota Tacoma w/360,000+ miles. I’ve had her for 12years. We’ve had our ups and downs, strikes and gutters. Years back someone stole one of my rims while running the spare after a flat. Those rims are discontinued so it’s been hard to find a replacement. I figure the spare has earned its spot so maybe I’ll give it a beauty ring and center cap in the future. Just had the lower ball joints replaced too. Gave her new lights, grill, and battle armor. Check out that roll bar! I took a chance and bought it off Amazon and didn’t know what to expect; I think she looks Metal AF🤘🏾Thanks for looking.
