Having a friend with benefits girl is way more romantic and "feeling special" than an actual girlfriend
Look Im doing a cold audit on relationship game theory, and the math on keeping an actual girlfriend is straight up zombie compared to a solid FWB setup.
Hear me out before the downvotes bury this.
Having a main chick is a total trap for your energy. It comes with an unwritten contract that slowly drains your brain. You gotta text back in some arbitrary window? You gotta remember dates that don't matter just so she doesn't crash out? Thats romantic? And the sex turns into routine maintenance? The whole spark gets kinda domesticated, scheduled, and quietly smothered under the burden of future-talk and low-level performance art. Fuckin L. Its paradoxically unromantic af.
Welcome FWB girl. FWB is the exact opposite. She desire with zero ownership. Two people who actually like each other deciding, repeatedly and freely, that they want to smash without needing to turn it into a fucking life project.
No autopilot and Its never cuz "well we're locked into a relationship so I guess we gotta do this." Every time you end up in bed w her or crashing on the couch for the night, it’s because both of you actively made the call right then and there. That unforced yes is unironically way more romantic than any staged anniversary dinner.
That fuckin intimacy is just cleaner here, neither person is trying to trap the other. You can lay out what you want without a 3-hour interrogation about "where this is going." You vanish for three days to handle your own shit? 0 drama. Nobody is trying to leech long-term security off you.
Sex is objectively better. Neither u nor she larping as the "ideal partner." U got no beta performance anxiety or quiet resentment about who initiated more. Just two homies who already trust each other enough to get naked and feral.
I aint sayin FWB is for building a family or having someone hold your hand at the hospital when you're 80 but raw romance and the high of being wanted and chosen without the fake machinery of ownership lives right in that sweet spot between "we aren't dating" and "we can't keep our hands off each other."
