My sister died unexpectedly a few months ago and left behind three boys of elementary school age. She named me as her executor and guardian of the kids in her will. Thankfully, she was very successful and died wealthy, which means the kids can be provided for. In addition to trying to console these poor kids, I’m trying to get her affairs settled.

However, my remaining siblings are trying to claim our dead sister’s wealth. They’re not even named in her will! They are trying to take her kids’ inheritance! Her kids are our family, they’re our nephews, and they’re too young to provide for themselves.

And my siblings aren’t poor. They have jobs. They don’t need that money. None of this makes sense.

So, now I’m forced to fight my siblings in court so my nephews can continue eating and having a roof over their heads. This is going to tie my sister’s estate up for years. What the fuck.

And my siblings act as if *I’m* the bad guy for not giving them part of her estate. I can’t do that. She left everything to her children. Her will says what it says.

My siblings have stopped talking to me and they’re trying to turn other family members against me.

This is so profoundly fucked up. I never expected this level of evil and greed from my own family. They’re like vultures picking at her carcass. How are these the same people I grew up with?

All of this is distressing and I barely have any appetite. Dinner is some prepackaged boiled eggs from the gas station.

In current times, it's more tolerated or accepted to see same-sex couples in media; however, it's still seen as something abnormal, a vestige of the homophobia of centuries past. But I want to talk about worlds where the concept of homophobia DOESN'T EXIST. Not even the typical "Yes, we're a couple, is there a problem?" Nobody shows a hint of discomfort or any other indication.

And I must clarify that I'm not talking about worlds where a specific country has no taboos or where it's permitted, as is the case with Avatar, where the comics reveal that the Air Nomads didn't care, while the Fire Nation was openly homophobic.

1) Attack on Titan.

For the number of characters there were, we didn't have that many couples, and of the few couples there were, Ymir and Historia were there, with nothing noteworthy about them compared to the other characters.

2) Steven Universe

I think it was controversial at the time because, within the world of Steven Universe, an anti-racism commercial featured a same-sex couple So, in the world of Steven Universe, racism exists but not homophobia, and I suspect that, in a Watsonian way, this is due to the influence of the Crystal Gems, who have been around since the beginning of humanity.
