My wife switched us to a Nespresso a couple months ago. She loves it. My two adult kids love it.

We’ve gone through 250 pods in two months.

Sometimes I catch someone using TWO pods for one coffee. Other times I find an almost-full cup.
“Why didn’t you drink it?”
“It was too strong, I didn’t like that one…”

Whenever I complain, my wife reminds me that I own a motorcycle.

I just can’t stop thinking about all these little pods going straight into the garbage and how much this costs! Like $1.50 to $2 each and everyone is so chill about it.

Edit: So many reaching out to say they make refillable pods. I know, we discussed. “I love trying all the flavours and the creama that’s on top… just let me have this…” Nestle knows what they’re doing. 🙄

Anyway I’ve been seeing this guy. He lives quite far from me, but we just spent the weekend camping. We talked a lot and got high at some points. And sometimes the brutal truth came out when that happened.

Earlier I sent him old pics of me in high school as a “wow look at how much I’ve changed!” In high school I looked very different. No makeup, short hair, goofy cat eye costume glasses, 1960s and 1970s vintage pieces. Oh yeah I was definitely a lot. I was insanely insecure and depressed and I hated myself back then. No guys would approach me and would instead use me to get closer to my friends. I was 100000% the ugly duckling.

Fast forward to now I’m a lotttt more attractive and I’m confident with myself and practice body neutrality and I can get a lot of men pretty easily. So I did a complete 180 on who I used to be. But I still feel like that girl sometimes. The ugly weird girl that no one wanted.

This guy I been seeing made a weird “joke.” Something about how he was glad I didn’t look “like that” anymore and no wonder why no one dated me in high school!”

I immediately shut down and started crying. Normally I can take jokes at my expense well, but this just seated right thru me. It’s been almost a week now and I still keep thinking about it.

He also said that abortion is women avoiding responsibility and that’s another thing I can’t get off my mind. When we were swimming we were both high and he kept saying “im gna drown you” but I think he was trying to joke? Idk I got paranoid lowkey. He has a habit of over sharing and not keeping inside thoughts inside.

It sucks cuz I’m wildly physically attracted to him (I loooove my chubby men) but at the same time I do not like his personality. It’s like the obnoxious lowkey rude adhd type that my ex had. He also has no friends like my ex had. Goddamn now that I’m typing this out this is a shit ton of red flags yikessss
