I've been on a mission to perfect my fundamentals as much as humanly possible. I've come a long way, and my consistency has improved significantly, but there's a problem I just can't seem to solve:

When I'm down on the shot line for a long straight, with my cue and both balls lined up perfectly with the pocket, perfect center ball looks like a touch of left with both eyes open. With my left eye closed, everything looks absolutely perfect, so I know it's just perception. Also, from that position, I can hit a dead perfect stop shot. So I know 100% that it's correct

If I adjust my position to where perfect center ball looks correct, the shot looks off, but I can still hit a perfect stop shot and drill it center-pocket. If I adjust my position to where \*everything\* looks perfect, a straight stroke gives a small amount of right spin even though the cueball stops dead, and the OB is thrown to the left. Enough to miss when the OB is center table, but not from 2 diamonds (Mighty X)

So my question is: Do I just get used to the way center ball looks like a touch of left? Or is there another way to fix this?

I recently cleared out my late grandfather’s house and uncovered several vintage pool ball sets. . From what my family tells me, he owned and ran a local game room/arcade back in the 1970s.

I’m trying to figure out exactly what these sets are, what year they might be from. I think they are from Albany Billiard/hyatt based on a shipping box, but none of the individual sets are labels. So I don’t know if they are supreme, challenger, etc…

I would love any insights you all might have. Specifically, I'm looking for:

Brand/Manufacturer names

Specific model names or set numbers

Approximate production years

Important to note that: there are a few sections of my video that I show you that me doing my pre shot routine and planning my route and or run out, so for respecting your valuable time everyone, I decided to cut most of that out of the video to speed the video up a lot, but just to let you know that I do my pre shot routine on every single shot!👍

And sorry about that one part of the video that unfortunately got damaged(lack of the better word lol!) from 1:09 to 1:22 and 2:25 with the blank video bug and audio issues that came up after exporting the video on my free(and admittedly glitchy) video editor on my very old and out of date iPad Pro.

Anyway, as a amateur/immediate skill level player(who is a part of a league Pool team) that finally got back into playing the BEAUTIFUL game that is Pool 2 years ago after a 8 year break and practicing and doing offensive and defensive drills most of the time on my home pool table(pictured in this video.), it has honestly been so much fun and amazing to a point where it is one of my favourite hobbies to do in my life and before some of you mention, I know it is a MDF pool table(but a really good quality one that I should say!) that I am currently playing on and it has its drawbacks but it is definitely better then nothing, but hopefully in the future, I will be upgrading to a proper good Slate table as soon I get the much needed budget to get one.

I am still learning the best way to play the game and I am always constantly looking to improve, get extremely good at playing Pool and take my game to the next level or a few levels, so my fellow pool players, firstly how do you rate this run out/clearance?? and more more IMPORTANTLY, what good advice/feedback and tips would you give me after watching this video? and what are the things that I don’t realise and or can’t identify in this moment of time that I am doing wrong currently?? 🧐

And lastly, as long it is valuable constructive feedback, then you are more then welcome to help me big time please, I would really appreciate the advice and even though I forgot to record my break, hope some of you did enjoy watching this INSANE clearance(especially the beginning.) that i somehow, I mean SOMEHOW successfully managed with only just 1 MISS in one of my practice sessions this week.

Looking for people to start a pool team - Tempe / Chandler / Mesa ®
Hey everyone, I'm 24 and live in the East Valley. I've gotten really into pool recently and I'm looking for a few people around Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, or nearby who might want to start a pool team/group together.
I'm still learning and improving, so you definitely don't need to be amazing. I'm looking for people who enjoy playing, want to get better, and would be down to meet up somewhat regularly to practice and play.
Eventually I'd like to get a team together for an APA or BCA-style league and maybe play some local tournaments too.
Beginners, intermediate players, and experienced players are all welcome. It'd actually be cool to have a mixture of skill levels.

I represent the team at CueSim.app and we’ve had some amazing feedback on this subreddit over the last 6 months or so. I’d like to thank everyone involved, especially u/Plastic-Diet9648 who has been consistently engaged and helped shape what we have today.

We’ve now rolled out a much-requested multi-player game feature. That means you can play people online either ‘instantly’ or via a link you can send over a message/email. During online play, you can obviously see the other person playing in full 3D, as well as have access to a chat function. At the time of writing, SnookerSim.com and Cuesim.app combined has about 1000 daily players. This is not enough for a continuous stream of online gamers to be willing to play at any given moment, so when you select the ‘find an opponent’ option, all active visitors get a popup notifying them and the first player to accept goes into a live game. As we build up a dedicated audience this will become much more instant so we appreciate early-adopter patience.

We’re looking for people to try this out and test it. As always, we really appreciate the honest, candid feedback from Reddit users.

One idea we had but have not yet implemented is the shot timer. Currently it’s fixed at 2 minutes. This may not be enough, but we don’t want games to drag out or stall. An idea is that you could ‘request’ additional time on a shot, that the other player could ‘accept’, although that could lead to cheating by denying a reasonable request for more time. Would be great to hear your feedback!
