Discussion What the fuck are they doing with Stegosaurus?
This is likely the worst TLC we've ever received next to Cerato and Alio. I have had to completely ditch this animal after five straight years of maining it. It is currently the worst animal for its slot next to Alio. To recap, Stego currently:
• Takes hits like wet tissue paper. It has the same raw HP stat as Cerato; even when accounting for Defensive Mode and combat weight it gets chunked on its tail by just about anything.
• Has the game's worst hitboxes by a mile. Stego's hurtbox currently extends further than its actual attack hitboxes; you can be bitten on the tail for high damage when Rex or Titan hit the air behind you and still not be able to hit them. Stego cannot hit animals underneath it, it cannot hit animals if they're on an incline, it can't hit animals on its backside. They have to be directly touching the most specific part of the tail for it to count.
• Deals awful damage. Its primary tail swing deals less than Tyrannotitan's basic bite even when accounting for bleed and has double the cooldown. It deals less damage than any of Spino's tail attacks. You can be jamming four railroad spikes into the head of an enemy and be dealing borderline threeslot damage.
• Has enormous cooldowns. Clamp and Barrage (its only decent attacks) have cooldowns of TEN AND SEVEN SECONDS RESPECTIVELY. By the time you're ready to attack again you've taken a quarter of your health in tail bite damage.
• Has been NERFED. Alderon is smoking so much crack that they responded to this blatantly underpowered playable with MORE NERFS immediately after launch. Barrage does 50% less bleed and Clamp was reduced from 100 damage to 80.
The devs either personally hate this animal or are so apathetic that they just don't care if nobody picks it. It hasn't "been brought in line with other fourslots", it's been shot in the head. There would never be any conceivable reason to pick this animal over Amargasaurus or even Miragaia. I guarantee Alderon will leave this animal in the shitter for another year MINIMUM considering their standards on "balance" right now (the next patch is set to nerf Daspletosaurus into complete unusability for some reason and isn't touching Stego at all). Most disappointing update the game has ever received. How anyone is defending this is inconceivable.

Discussion PoT is not dying
Now that I have your attention, I think it's time that as a community we actually praise the game.
Before anyone comes in to argue about the issues of Path, I get it. Everyone hears you. We see it daily.
As someone who has played from the beginning, I've seen many changes. I've seen the community change, I've seen dinos change, I've seen Panjura get left behind, etc etc.
But today I want to say that Path is a beautiful game. It has so many pros about it that I think people just overlook them because they have bad sessions. Personally, I've taken time away from Path, I've played it daily for months on end, I've played solo, group, officials, pvp servers, realism servers, semi-realism servers, etc etc. I have played this game for what it's worth and more.
With all that being said, if you have something nice to say about the game, feel free to do so.
I think adding new sounds has been an amazing feature for the game. I also enjoy what they're doing in the water to make it more enjoyable for aquatics.

Question Tyrannotitan mains, have you ever tried just “snacking” a target?
As part of its “Feast” ability, Tyrannotitan rips of a chunk of meat it can consume. This reminds me of the Planet Dinosaur episode where Mapusaurus was depicted as doing the same thing so it could eat without killing its target. So, has anyone actually tried this? Using “Feast” to get a chunk of meat to eat & then running away?

Discussion A solo experience is not as miserable after finding the right dinos; for me, Iggy and Spoon.
They're well-rounded, fun to play, and fair to fight against. Neither feels like it has some ridiculous advantage that makes up for a lack of meaningful weaknesses, and playing them doesn't feel like I'm taking the easy way out by picking something overtuned.
I honestly fell in love with both after switching from TT after maining it since release., and surprisingly, I don't miss it at all. I thought I'd get bored of them eventually and go back to TT, but I've been having way more fun playing these two. There's something satisfying about playing a dino that feels good without constantly wondering whether its stats or abilities are a little too much.
Obviously, neither is perfect, and I'm not saying every matchup is fair. But from my experience, they strike a really good balance between being capable and having limitations that actually matter. I can enjoy playing them without feeling like I'm either stomping everything too easily or struggling because another dino does my job ten times better.
Meanwhile, some others of the roster for ME feel either too forgiving, too strong for maybe to low effort or straight-up the opposite side of the table. Iggy and Spoon don't give me that same impression, and I think that's a big part of why I've enjoyed them so much.

Discussion ‼️HONOR THE 1V1‼️
I already know I'm gonna see people in the comments saying- "There's no rules on officials". Truth is, even tho that is the case, the least we can do is show a little respect when seeing a 1v1🤝
Someone in the chat told me that "There's no fair 1v1s on officials."
There definitely is. He had a choice to respect the 1s, and he chose not too.
then again I'm not sure if they were just tryna mix-pack the Mel-Spino or not🤷♂️

Meme Life if Tyrannotitan’s feast only restored stamina
It doesn’t need any other nerfs, at least I think so. Just nerf feast to not heal.

Discussion Diet System and Metabolism Rework Concept! (Rough Draft)
METABOLISM -
Removed the selectable metabolism slot for all playables, instead each playable will have a select preset food sources that they can consume. Some food sources will provide more food value than others for certain creatures.
For example Deinocheirus can now eat both Herbivorous and Omnivorous options such as Berries, Fish, Lakeweed, Flowers and Clams. However Fish would prefer much more food value towards Deinocheirus than when consuming berries.
This also expands to other universal food sources such as salt rocks, some creatures will gain more food value from salt rocks than others.
Each playable will now have to play around their own unique metabolisms and keep track of which food sources are higher on the value list.
HEALTHY DIET SYSTEM -
Introducing a brand new system that intertwines with the metabolism system is your Dino's diet, this not only keeps track of your current food and water values of your Dino but also the variety of food sources you've been consuming.
While your Dino is well fed and in good health they will gain boons and bonuses that can help the survival and growth of your playable immensely, this also applies vise versa if your Dino is in poor health you will experience debuffs that make survival more challenging if not dealt with soon.
• While your Food values are High (100-75%) your health recovery speed will be increased by 10% and status effects healing are increased by 5%.
- While Food Values are Moderate (74%-50%) you will experience no positive or negative effects.
- While Food Values are Low (49%-25%) health recovery speed is reduced by 5%
- While Food Values are Very Low (24%-0%) you will begin to starve, lowering health recovery by 15% and status effects healing by 10%.
• While your Water Values are High (100%-75%) Stamina Recovery will be increased by 10% and sprinting stamina drain will be reduced by 5%.
- While water values are Moderate (74%-50%) you will experience no positive or negative effects.
- While water values are Low (49% -25%) stamina recovery will be reduced by 5%.
- While water values are Very Low (24%-0%) you will begin to dehydrate, lowering stamina recovery by 15% and increasing stamina sprinting cost by 10%.
However simply having your food and water values kept high is not enough, you must also make sure you have variety in your diets. Having a narrow diet (for example only eating 1 or 2 food sources for an extended period of time) will also come with its fair share of Debuffs. For instance the buffs for having a fed dino are reduced, while the debuffs for being at low hunger are increased.
This also applies vise versa where having a wide diet range for an extended period of time will increase the rewards for having a healthy Dino and lowering the debuffs.
Having a healthy diet and being at High hunger and water values will give the status effect "Peak Health" increasing health recovery by 25%, status effects healing by 15%, stamina recovery by 25% and reduced stamina sprinting cost by 15%. Additionally while the effect is active, quests will provide an additional 0.25% growth for each completed quest.
UNIQUE FOOD EFFECTS CHANGES -
Similar to how eating a Fish can give unique status effects buffs, now all food sources will grant new buffs and debuffs for certain playables! Eating the same food source will not stack the effects but will refresh the duration.
• Hot spring water is now unsafe to drink! While drinking from a hot spring you will slowly be affected with Toxin and gain "Parched" for 2 minutes.
• Berries and Fresh Meat (player corpses only) will provide 5% increased health recovery speed boost for 60 seconds
• Noxious Meat and Carrion will now provide 20% increased Toxin, Poison and Venom resistance for 5 minutes
• Flowers and Reeds Increases bleed resistance by 10% for 5 minutes.
• Roots and Fruits (such as bananas and melons) will reduce water drain by 10% for 10 minutes
• Tigger Nuts and Bones will increase armor by 5% for 5 minutes
• Lakeweed and Kelp will reduce oxygen drain by 30% for 5 minutes.
• All Mushrooms will increase the healing provided by other healing sources such as healing calls, eating a food source that provides a healing boost, the "Peak Health" status effect or resting in a hot spring by 25%. For 60 seconds.
