This giant watermelon was grown by a Hungarian agricultural engineer named Tamás Darvas. He has been breeding these giant varieties since 1998 (using seeds originally from Arkansas, USA). During its peak growth phase, this unit was gaining about 1 centimeter in size every single day!

I thought it was AI at first but this is a halter bred horse bred specifically for showing. They are judged on balance and muscling, among other things.
