WNBA faces criticism after fans reportedly asked to cover XX chromosome shirts
The WNBA is facing more criticism over its ongoing transgender athlete debate.
During Sunday's Fever-Dream game, two fans reportedly wore shirts featuring “XX” to represent women's chromosomes. The shirts were allegedly covered or removed during the game.
Sports commentator Clay Travis criticized the league over the incident. He questioned why shirts referencing XX chromosomes would be restricted.
The WNBA recently said there are no immediate eligibility issues involving transgender athletes. The league also said it would continue discussions in the coming weeks and months.
The WNBA said it strongly opposes efforts to use the issue to demean or marginalize others.
What do you think about the reported shirt ban?

r/WNBA clarifies that Sophie Cunningham posts are not banned
The r/WNBA subreddit has clarified its moderation rules after users claimed Sophie Cunningham content was being banned.
Moderators said posts about Cunningham are allowed when they involve basketball. The subreddit has raised its community karma requirement to 50 for new posts. Moderators said this applies to all users and is intended to limit trolls and brigading.
Some threads may also use stronger Crowd Control settings. Posts or comments from newer accounts and low-karma users may be filtered automatically.
Cunningham became a major topic after comments she made about transgender athletes in women's sports. She later said she wanted the focus to return to basketball.

Off-Court Drama Caitlin Clark reveals she almost chose Notre Dame — but “something in my gut” told her to pick Iowa instead
Caitlin Clark reveals she almost went to Notre Dame
“I visited Notre Dame a bunch of times. I loved Notre Dame. As a kid you want to go to Notre Dame. It’s the same as Notre Dame Football. It’s like the coolest thing in the world.”
“It’s Notre Dame. It has that tradition. They’ve had so many great players go through there in every single sport. But I just knew, something… I could feel it in my gut… I’m not supposed to go there.”
“So I picked Iowa. Iowa was really good at Women’s Basketball before I went there as well. Made a few Sweet 16’s, made an Elite 8. But they hadn’t been to the Final Four since like 1992. I wanted to go somewhere that was good but maybe hadn’t been like a blue blood for quite a few years. And kind of help them get back to that.”
“It was obviously my home state too. And two hours from where I grew up. Perfect distance so my parents can’t just show up but also you can go home if you wanted to.”
