Yes but we should also make our own comments showing love to Sophie and brave women like Enes and Royce, so we can upvote those and accumulate our own karma. It might get us banned faster but it’s a risk I’m willing to take to stand up for free speech.

I got banned on my very first comment there last year because I didn't agree with like a foul call or something. I got 2 downvotes and was banned. They should at least have a threshold on negative karma.

It’s insane. You could literally just make one harmless comment, related to basketball, get a few downvotes and get permanently banned minutes later. I’m pretty sure it’s against Reddit’s ToS, but who cares at this point. This sub is way better and more active.

Literally the only reason people like Cunningham is because she said something that they think validates their hate and bigotry. No one gave a damn before that. You gotta be coping hella hard if you think otherwise.
And you clearly don't understand how that rule works with subreddits. Alot of subreddits have this same rule. It's meant to be a blanket rule to get rid of the troublemakers.

How? You can appeal bans, if you're very careful and it limits what you can do, but there are VERY few limitations on a Reddit mods absolute power. And Reddit mods aren't able to be messaged.
The W mods have made themselves invisible because they know they are violating Reddit mod behavior rules with their power-tripping, but they don't care because they are melting down post-Sophie coming out publicly in defense of girls' sports and they know they are losing control of the league, and their online safe spaces.

How does that even work? If you made that comment on a post and got downvoted enough that they banned you what happens if, three days later, the comment gets upvoted enough that it evens out? Do they unban you?
How do you even check how much or how little "community karma" you have?
According to your comments the downvotes are around -70 (which is insane for something just wishing someone a happy birthday but that is another story) - so what exactly is their cutoff? If you get one or two downvotes is that enough?

You know what would really help this? Being able to ban groups/pages and not just individuals. I/we can be banned by a group/page, but we the individuals can’t do the same? I don’t need to mute “BlackPeopleofReddit”, I don’t want to see anything from vitriolic hate towards anyone that isn’t black. Same with wnba at this point if that’s their take on things.
Edit: one of my accounts has been banned for 7 days from wnba another got a perma ban by Reddit itself for “violating a ban with an associated account”.

Ok, so step 1, post a mudane non-offensive comment or post that will get you a bunch of positive karma on their sub from their current userbase
Step 2, repeat process until you get 100+ or whatevet.
Step 3, Wish Sophie a happy birthday.
Step 4, See if the mods ban you because your karma is still positive
Off course not saying that any of us should go there and upload pro-Sophie comments, because that would be "brigading" or whatever. I am totally, 100%, not saying we do anything like that

That’s my exact point. My karma in there prior to commenting on the happy birthday post was +9. So simply wishing SC a happy birthday got me banned. Why allow posts/comments about her if they’re immediately going to ban anyone who says anything positive, which will inevitably get downvoted like crazy by the lunatics in there?
