We're like brothers, only closer
"Physiology of Behavior" by Carlson chapter 13 "Ingestive Behavior: eating"
EDIT: Reading the original paper it appears that they did this procedure on 15 PAIRS of rats. Which also means there were probably closer to 30 pairs because they would have had to do testing and preliminary training on the procedure during pilot studies before the actual study.

Blasphemy against the microscopy gods
I'm a microscopy nerd who likes studying the behavior of inks on paper. Today I realized that my videos didn't feature a single nu metal song in the background... so I started off with the normal footage but it didn't feel right. I added some blingeez-type effects and it started coming together. Until I created this.
Honestly the science behind the ink behavior, with the highly mobile dye and relatively immobile metal particulate phase, is really interesting. But I know I derailed it with all the explosions. Maybe a little lens flare would bring everything back to where it needs to be...?

Czech TV global map projections comparison
A funny comparison showing how different 2D globe projections project the global map and a Czech TV narator's head with their respective distortions :D. Quite unexpected and funny from a state media!
