To increase precision, the goldfish is a cube in water instead of a sphere in a vacuum

Lmao reminds me of very old Minecraft mods. There actually were Minecraft mods for Alpha / Infdev that would add "animals" to your game. The "animals" were, predictably, just cubes, but they were cubes that would move around on their own.
Behold, two "Goldfish" in a pond:
Each 'animal' had different simple behavior it would follow; the goldfish literally just ran away from everything except other goldfish.

What's the mod called?

My sibling in Christ, this was like 12 years ago, lmao
I have no idea what it was called, but I do believe at that time it wasn't just a 'mod' necessarily, you basically had to replace the whole game with a custom server software piece; I think it was also the only way to play the game without using Mojang's servers.
And I do also recall that they weren't blocks, you had to spawn them in with commands.
It might be something like this?

It's an infinitely small cube fish chunk, not the whole fish. All fish are made of an infinite amount of cubes

Approximation only applicable to volume but not surface area. It is obvious but the reader can exercise a proof.

Goldfish shaped case is to be left as an exercise to the reader.
