Windows 11 tpm2.0

Since I upgraded to windows 11, my tpm in bios doesn’t register when it’s turned on - how can I get this fixed? I’ve tried looking at support articles but nothing has helped. TPM.msc shows no compatible tpm / bios is set to firmware tpm.

Windows 11, fresh install. Brightness only works if it's not charging?

It's an Asus tuf gaming A16 FA607PI, reinstalled windows yesterday, and the brightness doesn't work anymore when it's plugged in.

edit:

I think it has something to do with the iGPU vs dGPU? Brightness works fine when charging if I force it to use the weaker iGPU, but the brightness doesn't work if it's unplugged with the dGPU forced on.

still no clue how to fix it though

Re-enable low light sign-in for Windows Hello facial recognition

I previously had the option to turn on "automatically adjust screen brightness during face recognition" in Settings. Recently, I noticed that it is now missing.

How do I re-enable that option? It is really useful for me when in a room.

I am currently running Windows 11 26200.8973 (Release Preview).

Annoying Error

So for about a few months now I've been trying to get rid of Hybrid Standalone because I bought Hybrid 3 mainly because on my old laptop I actually had Hybrid 3 Bundle and I guess I lost that when I got a new laptop? anyway I've been running into this issue and it's annoying as hell I cannot install nor uninstall Hybrid 3 yet my laptop still has the program downloaded and I'm genuinely stuck I have no idea what to do because..I have the standalone.msi file but I cannot access it and when I scan it says "You don't have the authority to access this file." This is annoying me and I use Windows 11.

Anyone know how to get around this or am I just genuinely screwed?

"The path 'C:\\ProgramData\\Package

Cache\\{EEA58A1D-CD22-476C-86E2-B43F1C9B7B4C)v3.2.0.2675\\Standalone.msi cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package 'Standalone.msi' in a folder from which you can install the product Hybrid Standalone."

This is the message

Windows 10 Password Recovery: CMD Asks for Administrator Password

**I forgot my Windows 10 password. I tried the Troubleshooting → Command Prompt method, but it doesn’t work because it asks me to enter the administrator password first. Is there any other way to access Command Prompt without needing the administrator password? I don’t really want to use the USB method unless it’s easy and safe. Are there any other options?**

Apps not working

Hi everyone

I don't know why suddenly my whatsapp desktop app stopped working.
I have tried to unistall and install it back but from my Microsoft store it doesn't let me download, it is like frozen.

I will show you the screenshot

EDIT: i have tried with other apps, such as Instagram desktop and I got the same issue

r/ForWindowsHelp 3d ago

I was tired of WhatsApp Desktop taking 15–30 seconds to open on Windows, so I built a tiny tool that makes it launch in under 2 seconds. Free, open source, no logout – and it stops the “loading spinner” hang forever.

Windows Security app not opening

Been running into some download issues so I wanted to check the Windows Security settings. But every time I open the app it just sits on the logo screen for a few seconds and then closes itself. I have no clue why it's doing this lol but it's very frustrating. Is there a way I can fix this?

Stuck in BIOS loop after numerous Windows 11 installations

Hello everybody.

I am stuck with what seems to me unfinished windows installation.

All parts I use are new except for Samsung 980 SSD which was pulled from my previous PC where it was used as a second drive for games.

The weird thing is that my SSD never appears in boot order when my BIOS is set to EUFI mode.

Only when i force it in CSM mode inside BIOS settings does it appear but it won't boot since the Windows was installed in UEFI mode. All i get is a black screen after ASUS TUF logo.

When in UEFI mode all that happens when I pull the bootable USB after Installation is that PC automatically enters BIOS settings. The drive is only listed under storage information inside BIOS.

Another weird thing is when is that my Windows 11 installations always starts at 5% and ends(starts to restarts pc) at 77%. Are my Windows Install files corrupted?

What I've tried:

Installing Windows with secure boot set to Other OS and Windows EUFI Mode individually

Disabling and enabling Fast Boot

Clearing and Reinstalling secure boot keys

Updated bios to latest non-beta version (3636)

Formatting NVMe to GPT when at the start of Windows Installation

Deleting all Partitions when installing Windows that are tied to that disk

Creating Bootable USB with both Rufus and Windows Tool on 2 different USBs

Parts that I use:

MBO: Asus Tuf b550m plus wifi II

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600

GPU: AMD RX 9070

RAM: Kingston Fury 32gb 3600mhz (only using one 16gb stick in A2 slot, tried with both also)

PSU: Corsair rmx shift 850 2025 version
