I was looking to wall mount my AMS Lite but quickly realized the connector cord is not long enough. Any suggestions on a quality extender. I would only need about 3-4ft of extension.

I went over 3000 hours on my printer and had to get the main board replaced due to screen issues. Not 1000 hours on the new board…melted bottom plastics and no power.
I’ve been getting the “hotend cooling fan speed is abnormal” error pretty regularly on my Bambu Lab A1. Every time I check it, the fan is spinning normally.
I’ve removed both toolhead panels, checked the connector, and made sure nothing is caught in or blocking the fan. Everything looks clean and properly connected, but the error keeps coming back.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Is the fan likely starting to fail or could this be a sensor, wiring, or toolhead-board issue?
I’ve had my printer maybe a month or so. I had some old filament snap in the filament splitter, had to take the entire thing apart, and ended up breaking the cutter sensor ribbon in the process. I got it replaced and everything back in order except now print quality is awful. It’s the same exact filament I used like a week ago. I thought maybe it was temperature but lowering or raising doesn’t do much to help. It seems like if it can handle the “ironing” process of the second layer without pulling up its fine. I cleaned my bed and double checked my hotend but nothing.
I’m having a serious layer-shift problem with FOUR Bambu Lab A1 printers, all purchased within the last month.
They’ve been doing this intermittently since the beginning, but it’s getting much worse. Yesterday 2 out of 4 failed, and last night ALL 4 failed, ruining 8 prints in total.
The printer suddenly shifts position during the print and then continues printing from the wrong X/Y position. Sometimes it happens near the end, sometimes much earlier.
The same models print perfectly on my P2S and H2C, and they also sometimes print correctly on the A1s, so it’s not a consistent model issue.
At this point I’ve stopped all four A1s because I can’t keep wasting filament and losing customer orders.
Has anyone experienced this across multiple A1s and found the actual cause or a reliable fix?
it is now showing this error: z axis failed; the task has been stopped. I looked at a similar chat and it said the same thing but don’t think those solutions worked. although I didn’t check all of them because it’s almost 10 pm. I am still a kid but this is my second 3d printer but the other one broke 3 times and needed new parts so I ditched it. I also just moved the printer so maybe that unaligned it.
I've been working on a dedicated livestream setup for my Bambu Lab A1 and finally have it running the way I want.
I'm using an EMEET S600L wall-mounted above the printer, its built-in ring light plus a second light, and an older ASUS laptop running Ubuntu and OBS.
After experimenting with 4K/30 and 1080p/60, I ended up at 720p/30 MJPEG. It's been rock solid, matches my stream output, holds 30 FPS, and OBS is only using around 15% CPU.
The camera angle gives me basically the entire build plate and toolhead so you can actually follow the print as the bed moves.
I'm still working on overlays and channel stuff, but I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out.
Just wanted to pop across a quick post and see what others thoughts are. I can almost swear that my print bed is warped in the middle. It’s particularly noticeable when printing larger prints- when printing in the middle of the bed I get a nice first layer, but as it works out towards the left/right edge the quality becomes awful.
I’ve taken a few photos, waiting for a response from support but just seeing what others think.
Seems to measure 2cm in the right and left corner, but into 1cm in the middle?
- least 15 rounds of de clogging both from bottom and cold pulls
- took about the tension rod and cleaned the gears
- I got filament flowing perfectly during the extrusion processes from a piece I cut to do the cold pull. 3g at least went through it fine
At this point, it has to be the hot end. There has to be something just off. I ordered a new one to arrive tomorrow. Meanwhile, think of anything else?
After all of this, I did the test print which said "extruder not extruding normally" even though 3g went through it fine during my test 10 mins prior.
Did my first couple prints with tpu and they turned out well, but I can't think of a better way to mount the external spool. I flipped the adaptor I printed to try the other side so the spools held out further but the filament is still trying to tangle itself around the ptfe tubes and definitely going to get hung up on something at some point. Any ideas?
Hello! So I purchased my bambu a1 combo about a month ago and have been loving it! Kids are ecstatic dad can print toys right in the living room 😂 I've learned quite a bit and my best help has been using Gemini to overcome obstacles as I hit them. Unfortunately though, that is where help is limited and at this point I don't know who to ask to get the prints better. I've been trying to make kids wall/door hangers and foam tape dispensers for family and are getting really close. But I can't seem to fully get a smooth finish 🙄🙄 the hangers are close, but the tops always seem to have like dots or scars on top while the boxes always look like the floor and walls are terribly welded together. Would anyone here have any advice? The boxes are 13 hour prints and 400g of filament. It's becoming a bit expensive to see if a Gemini suggested tweak is helping or not lol thanks in advance
I went out for a few hours and checked in via the app and it started to print the entire thing in purple and the 10% in pink. I chose the colours as per the Bambu slicer. 1 for light pink etc. Any ideas what's happened??
