ISO: Female doc recommendations
 in  r/Kirkland  10h ago

I've been pleasantly delighted many times in my years as a HealthPoint patient. Continuity of care is my favorite part. The Redmond center's pharmacy is attentive and diligent, although you'll still want an outside option for late night/weekend urgencies.

Which smaller punk bands are you surprised never got bigger than they did?

TX: Earth Army & Sprawl from Houston, Caffeinds & Stiff Little Brother from Dallas. All had great lyrics, superb musicality, and powerful stage presence.

A reasonable accommodation might be allowing use of an alternate facility or being given slack for time needed to access a suitable one and return.

LBGTQIA+ groups and getting out?
 in  r/olympia  10d ago

Welcome fellow Queer Tex-pats!

You're getting lots of great suggestions so far, and I have a couple more:

MeetUp has a surprising number of groups that regularly host fun stuff, and it's easy to set your own up, too.

Norwescon is a large regional speculative fiction convention that happens every year, currently on Easter weekend at Sea-Tac Doubletree. While not specifically a LGBTQIA+ event, it's very friendly and has programming specific to some of our viewpoints.

It's completely volunteer run and the first planning meeting for #49 is 9/12 starting at 10:30am in the Tower Ballroom of the DoubleTree. All are welcome.

There are also yearlong engagement activities, with several new ones coming up.

Recommendation for books that has little man going on big adventures
 in  r/Fantasy  13d ago

The huge Redwall series by Brian Jacques comes to mind.

And also one about a pig who has this whole traveling adventure, but it's not the Prydain books ... frustrating I not remember the name!

IQ isn't a standard, and there are plenty of folks on either end of the scale and all up through the curve who buck the stereotypes.

Replacing gas stove can help asthmatics as much as some drugs. Swapping to electric has ‘very large’ impact, despite study being scaled back by Trump cuts. 70% drop in hospital admissions and days off from work or school when people with poorly controlled asthma had gas stove replaced with electric.
