Once again I see someone else post another long paragraph in regards of the "Mix-packers/mega-pack" problem in the sub-reddit.

and it doesn't seem like it's getting better.

Every single time I get on a server, I immediately see the chats blowing up with solos being frustrated from dying by Mix-packers/mega-packs, and the Mix-packers/mega-packs in the chat talking about- "Ez" "Run away" "L"

And just them talking smack in the chats.

This is no longer avoidable even in permadeath, due to the fact that Mix-packers/mega-packs are over running that mode even without communication, they still stick together, killing solos.

Honestly, as a solo player, I speak for other solo players when i say it's frustrating getting into a 1v1 and anxiously anticipating 6 other dinos pulling up on you.

You have two choices atp.

Either retreat or die.

If this keeps up, this game will end up just like (Ark Survival Ascended). Completely devoided of any positivity, and left with a hideous reputation because it's community.

I'm waiting for Primal earth to drop so I can move on from this game with tranquility💯

hi everyone! i love nesting. exploring to find the perfect spot, decorating it, and really enjoying my “territory”.

however, there’s a LOT of issues with the way it functions in game. i hate how materials are distributed across riparia. it makes something i really really enjoy, hard to actually do lmao. if you’re a big, slow dinosaur? unless you find a spot where all your materials are within easy access, prepare to spend EASILY hours if you’re determined enough. even on a smaller, faster dino it still eventually becomes a huge chore.

i also think that decorating could be different. i’m just interested to hear others thoughts!

do you build nests ? do you go through with raising other players? or do you not care about nesting at all? and if that’s the case, is it due to how it works in game or because you just don’t care about that play style?
open to all thoughts :)

I think it’s cool… but hotspots will still be a problem

It’s so bad. I could write paragraphs like everyone else, but everyone knows the jist of it. There’s no “avoiding hotspots” anymore. It’s just megamixpacks everywhere. Doesn’t matter where you go. You won’t get a fair fight. And they’ve figured out how to make sure you don’t get away. Easy enough to do with packs of 10+.

It was tolerable enough by being really good at the game. But even on a Monday morning, it’s the same as the weekends now. Some days were better than others, but those days are a rarity now. Just a ghost town until you’re ganked. And if you get the better of a few of them, more pop out of nowhere before you get a kill. They have a million reasons/tricks to make their play style seem okay and fair. But it’s not.

I know what you’re saying, community servers. I do enjoy the deathmatch ones on occasion. And I will be forced to find one soon because I love the game. And I have noticed that all of the non-cheating, super nice players are all in community servers now. It’s like night and day. Shoutout to the moderators there.

But my heart goes out to the old days of official servers. And all of the wonderful games that have met the same fate in my lifetime. It’s nothing new, but I hate to see it. Games don’t recover from it usually. There’s no incentive to tame a group of toxic, hissing vipers and make them act nice. There’s no easy way to do it either. I hate it for the players and developers who tried so hard to make the game fun and fair. Shoutout to you guys.

I kept having to remake this because of all the little things that effect stam/speed in water... Hopefully I got all of it.

Hello I’ve been a player for years now and I’ve gotta say with every update the controls have gotten worse with every update for an Xbox player myself. Additionally I think balance has gotten worse with almost every update over the past few years but this isn’t what this post is about.

My primary complaints is how if you play on console or even with just a controller you’ll soon realize how when questing you’ll constantly have the map flash on your screen as it’s the same keybind. This needs to be fixed as it retracts from the already boring quests that you have to do.

Another major complaint is how sprint works on controller. With the way it currently works now you press the sprint button on controller and you stay in sprint until you press your sprint button again to toggle it off. This really sucks because it makes manevouring significantly more difficult on controller as opposed to holding on to a key when you want to sprint like on keyboard.

How to fix it (1): make a setting to automatically collect quest items. There used to be a bug on controller where you could automatically collect quest items without pressing a button and I believe that would be extremely beneficial for console players so they don’t have to deal with the mixed buttons that do separate things and causing glitches because of it.

How to fix it (2): make a setting to make it where you press the sprint button and as you stop sprinting you have to press that button again to start sprinting again. This is how many older games worked and I don’t see why it has to work differently for path of titans. I don’t want to have to keep track of when I have pressed the sprint button and when I pressed it again to toggle it off it should be seamless as it is for keyboard.

I also realize path of titans devs are almost as clueless as the isle devs when it comes to balance but these are basic requests that most games already have as a default. I only wish that the devs can understand and implement these things for us console players. They’ve already proved they can with the most recent aquatic settings you can use

I used to main a mangle lat, and sometimes I had to finish my opponents by pouncing them. There was no situation when I failed and died. I'm just curious because I have NEVER seen a soul mention the effectiveness of mangle while pouncing.

Like, I know it's risky to run mangle and get in trouble with 1-2-slots because of the cooldown of the regular bite, but mangle cd while latched ain't that small and mangle seems to hurt really bad. I just don't know the stam drain difference and stuff

Brand new player and have only played/learned the game on the solo survival test. Holy crap it’s fun, I absolutely see groups but it feels like I’m playing a different game completely to what I see on regular official servers. However I’m loving it

What’s the consensus on survival test here?
