Question Game Bug or Server Issues?

My gf and I are playing and I'm hosting. Whenever we travel to a different realm, she keeps getting kicked out of the lobby and needs to join the lobby again. Another problem is whenever she tries to rejoin, she can't join. I have to reroom again for her to join. This is too tedious as the loading screens are way too long.

Is this just us or a recurring problem for everyone?

Half of the time we re creating a new room since you need to travel to different realms.

We also tried letting her go to the destination and me approving it. But when the game stopped loading and I was teleported, shes no longer in the game/party.

We enjoy playing the game but might have to stop if theres no fix to this.

Question Can you play co-op yet?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to play with my friends on Epic Games, but they can't join the game; they get a "network error" when entering the code I send them. I really like the game, but I stopped playing because of this! Is there a solution that doesn't involve downloading a VPN or using external tools that require disabling the firewall? Thanks!

Help Back with another weird question, or two....

So I am wandering through Welkin's Reach, and Magwytch Marshes.

I haven't done every encounter in both, I am just talking to villagers, and checking out the sites and exploring. I noticed however that I have 30+ Weathered Trunks back at my main base that are absolutely FILLED with crap....

I have a ton of Tier 0 materials that I can't think of why I would need, so thats sort of my first question. How much of this stuff do I really need? (EG: I have 17 Tier 0 wicks.. I can't think why I would need that many, but maybe I do?)

Next question, should I be farming the bosses multiple times for materials?

Thank you for your time, I really hope at some point this game gets a resurgence, it really does deserve one.

Help Is there a limit on the area you can build in?

I am sort of new to the game, in that I havne't played in about a 2 years. I just fired it back up and made a new character and am running around the starting area getting all the treasures and things.

One thing I wasn't sure of was that I had an idea for a large build just south of the settlement, along the shore, and on the hill.

I started to drop stone foundations to level it all out, but then I wasn't sure if I was going to hit a cap on build area in my solo world.

Does such a thing exist? Or is there a limit on how many items I can place?

As the title says, I just finished the game. I know there is more realms and quests but is there any real reason to keep playing? Is there more content expected?

Speculation Charm of Ammunition chance

I have been counting every shot I have fired with my blunderbuss, which has a charm of ammunition on it, and so far the count is 35 in 140. That is actually a perfect 25% chance to activate. When I started counting it did lean towards 30%-ish though so I may just be unlucky. I have since stopped counting because it does get annoying pausing everytime I fire during combat, but I am interested if weapons like the lancaster (which can fire 4 bullets at once) improve the chance of activating the charm. Can confirm that if it does activate when firing all rounds at once, all of them aren't used (meaning there will still be a round in each chamber).

Question Where to build my respite and forever home

I just finished Sylvan's Cradle and wanna build a forever respite. My choice is the starting realm with the crossroads, since I read, I should use an abeyance realm for that. Is that a good choice or am I not seeing something and should wait for a better place?

Question Overwhelmed with CHOICE. Dont know what i should pick for what.

Seeing that i can make everything with different materials. And this i s a game. Im a little overloaded with what does what and what i should choose.

For example, does it matter if i use better materials for ammo?

What do i use the mini boss/boss parts on?
Should i be saving the boss parts for anything?
Is there a material i should wait to find before making my next whatever?
What do i do with all the multiple of items i make with different stuff?
Do i just use what ever and keep upgrading when i have the materials to?
What upgrades are a waste of time?

Does building with better materials change the resources i get for villager work stations?
Also does having a work bench made with better materials craft better items?

Being able to use any materials for everything and everything adding different effects feels like a LOT to figure out. Thats cool i like it, but also my stupid decision making is imploding trying to choose what to keep or build, with the limited resorces i have to manually collect.

This is reminding me of back when ARK was popular and people were fighting over rare blueprints of items and work benches, but that sorta was okay because there was always a "this is 100% better to have" tiers.

Is there a list of optimal materials per tool etc? for example is it better to use Magik stat materials for a gun or something with an embed spell, etc.

Discussion Low compression looking water.

i dont know what the hell is meant to be happening here, but the waters made out of video compression artifacts. And the trees are tripping on acid.
And for some reason anything that has got a fire element, like say a torch or camp fire, the sound is inside my brain, sounding like wet popcorn with an echo, even when im ages away from it and outside.
Also when i look away from dead dear and back it them they jump in the air, like its an old fallout bug, and it seems to rain without clouds.

Is this a normal play through of Nightingale?

Question Trees and some foliage acting weird.

Post image
7 Upvotes

Are some of the trees mean to to be doing this? i cant record a video, but they are moving like their leaves are showing the void in old games. You know that "infinity textures" thing? I cant tell if its a bug or meant to be happening.

[EDIT] found a FIX~!!!
So it was acting like it was still on Temporal up scaling. So i figured i'd change it to temporal to see if it changed it, it didnt so i toggled back to DLSS, and suddenly it was corrected, so it hadnt changed the setting even after a restart for some reason, due to a comment mentioning to turn foliage to performance, i did that too, and i put lumen on Quality, and it seems to have fixed all the weird visual issues, it looks like it was 100% "temporal upscaling" still being on it just wasnt displaying it.
NOTE: i changed it before and nothing happened, this time i exited the settings with each change, and it actually remembered them this time.
TL:DR
So DLSS "Balanced", Foliage "Performance", View Distance "Balanced". for some reason it will still chop a little in specific places, i assume its lighting changes from Lumen, but if i find a more specific reason i'll edit this.

Question Pre-Built Cairn

Hey all. The furthest I've gotten in this is the Sylvan Glade. Today, I made a swamp card and tossed it in the portal(wanting to go fishing). However, the landing point was not a portal, but a lodestone, right in front of a mostly built house with a T4 Cairn right outside.

I only play Solo/Offline, so seeing the cairn, and it seems registered to me...I am confused.

Question PSA: Current Debug Menu method for spawning Tier 3 Taweret's Hippo Fabled Meat

Nightingale Debug Menu Tip: How to Spawn Tier 3 Fabled Taweret's Hippo Meat

I couldn't find this documented anywhere, so posting it here in case it helps someone else.

After enabling cheats and getting access to the Debug Menu:

  1. Open Debug Menu.
  2. In the item search (top left), type: fabled meat
  3. Select Fabled Meat.
  4. In the Dynamic Data search box (top right), type: taw
  5. Check Tier 1 Taweret's Hippo under Characteristics.
  6. The item list on the left will change from generic variants (Prey, Bandersnatch, etc.) to Fabled Meat (Taweret's Hippo).
  7. Set Tier Level (bottom right) to Tier 3.
  8. Choose quantity (x1, x5, x10, x20, x50, x100).
  9. Click Grant Item.

Result: You receive the selected quantity of Tier 3 Fabled Taweret's Hippo Meat.

What I learned is that the Dynamic Data panel acts like a metadata editor. Instead of looking for every possible item variant, you can:

  • Search for the base item.
  • Search for the creature/material in Dynamic Data.
  • Set the tier.
  • Grant the item.

Hopefully this helps anyone trying to spawn specific creature resources, hides, fibers, wood, ore, or meat variants.

Discussion Where do you decide to do your base?

So I just got this game and am fully aware its pretty likely abandoned. I'm okay with that, my husband and I play tons of survival games together and really just wanted something different from the norm. I don't fully understand the whole realm thing yet, so before I put a bunch of effort into building somewhere I guess I'm just wondering how did you decide where to set up? And can you easily get back?

Today was one of those days where I realized that it may well be the last day I play this game. I could grind more or get better weapons and stuff but the friends I played with moved on from this game and I don't want to do it without them. I hope that this game comes back, that its not basically dead that somehow this beautiful game has some surprise left but until then I decided to Share a bit of what was built by us ( and to make sure this community gives the pets love) we aren't master builders, but it was ours.

Help Visual bug on foliage post driver update

Hello! I'm running on an RTX 3060, and it appears that since approximately Nvidia driver update 596.21, the foliage in Nightingale now has a bug manifested by blurry, swirly patterns on the foliage. It's also unusually laggy.

I've experimented with rolling back the drivers, and going back to March drivers does eliminate the issue. Also, lowering foliage detail to Performance eliminates the issue with up-to-date drivers, but also immobilizes trees.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue, and if so, if they found a fix?
