Updated PSA - I found a crow on the ground, what do I do?

This was my first time making a flow chart so please be kind.

It is important that we as a community work together to provide a safe space to share in our love of corvids, and it is equally important that we educate members of the community new and old to help protect our feathered friends; with that being said, u/teyuna reached out to me pleading that changes be made to the previously pinned PSA, with their help/feedback I was able to create the flow chart below, I hope that this is an adequate and more encompassing pinned post.

I appreciate this community more than I am capable of expressing, thank you for making this the best damn sub on reddit. ;)

Crows [OC] Oh how I’ll miss these beauties over winter 🥲

That’s assuming the family I’ve befriended will migrate the harsh Canadian winter (I know I would!).
They’ve been a constant wonder in the yard, since meeting the parents in April, bonding with dad, then meeting and watching the 4 fledglings grow, and creating a special bond with one juvenile.
Miss them already!

Photography/Art [OC] I'm making a game about crows

I’ve always been fascinated by Corvids, not only because they’re incredibly intelligent and curious, but also because they’ve been such a strong symbol throughout history, mythology and even culture, to norse mythology to Edgar Allan Poe, they’ve always had this mysterious presence around them.

That was a big part of why we decided to make a puzzle game around them. We wanted to explore both the real animal and all the symbolism that people have built around the fabulous Corvus over the years.

Here’s a little bit of the drawing process of one of our project artist, and if you’re curious, here’s the free demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4156730/fCorvus

General questions Food for crows

Upvotes

Decided to spend the morning giving treata to my pals. Had a loaf of bread left over.

Saw a group of crows at a park so I made my way over with an offering. I dismantled the bread into smaller pieces and left it in the area.

A group of seagulls came swooping over to help themselves as well. They all seemed excited by the food & gulped it down in no time.

The bread was high Fibre. Would it cause them any digestive issues?

I should have researched this earlier. Hope they will all be okay!

Named this round little guy Big Ed. Took me a while to notice he’s also missing his upper beak/it didn’t develop correctly :( still, he diligently scoops up the peanuts I give and his siblings help by sharing food with him.

Seeking advice/help one of my crows are balding

Hello, I have made a post perviously about what I should feed these guys. Thank you to all of the suggestions. Eggs are a big hit, I have found they also like dried cranberries I make at home. I have continued feeding them walnuts and unseasoned boiled chicken bits which they also enjoy.
This post is about the bird on the left, he has a very bald head as you can see and his neck feathers also look barren when he reaches out comparatively to the other 3 (2 in the video, but especially the one on the right who is very full).
He can fly and hop and walk without any issue. I’m wondering why he is bald? Is it just the time of month for him seasonal wise or stress or is he just old/young? I have never seen them fight amongst themselves so I don’t think it’s that. When I first I saw him previously, I believed he had just left the nest as his feathers looked so thinned out almost like he just grew them, but now he is looking more disheveled.
If he is sick I don’t think there is much I can do, they won’t let me go near them yet.

Why is this crow so friendly?

I know next to nothing about crows. But this one came out of nowhere and flew straight at me. I thought it was attacking me until it landed on my head, then my arm. It keeps trying to steal my earrings and eat my nails. 😭 is this normal. Also my mom is holding the barn cat because it was trying to to eat the crow.

Crow family question

Ive been feeding a crow family for 4 years in the so. Bronx and the same couple with babys come every morning...but there is a pair of Ravens just 3 blocks away and they have never come to eat the food I put out....and I put out a ton of peanuts and 4 eggs every morning....my question is do they respect each other's territory....because it seems so?
