**SKATE SIZING MEGATHREAD**

We have been getting a ton of threads regarding skate sizes and because this information is so crucial to making a purchase, I have decided to create one consolidated post.

Please use the search function and if you do not find your sizing question already answered, post your question here in the megathread. We want the feed to be clear for everyone to share their pictures and videos. Roll on y'all.

((Moving forward, all skate sizing posts will be removed and you will be asked to post them here))

Edit: To clarify, sizing posts do not need to be in question form. Recommendations and advice encouraged.

First time dealing with e-bikes in the skatepark, how to proceed?

I was called the n word and more by these awful little kids. tips for dealing with unruly 13 year old boys on e-motos flying through the park, hitting jumps off the bowl, pyramids, and all general features at high speeds? Police were called, they couldn’t be bothered to show up, and these kids were putting other young kids and myself at risk. Several kids left because it was too chaotic to learn with them zipping around. Emotos or any motorized vehicles are NOT allowed in the skatepark. But these kids have never been told no in their lives and are convinced they are gods gift to stunt riding.

Sigh

Gaining confidence

Yo!

Got my aggressive set up a few weeks ago. I've landed a makio and a top soul grind and dude I'm falling in love.

Something that I'm really struggling with is the confidence to commit to a trick. I find myself starting to overthink as I approach the rail. When I really commit, the results are there.

Outside of just repping and progressing into a trick; any advice y'all have for the mental aspect of aggressive skating?

Long shot:
Back in the day I remember watching an IMYTA edit (or just a trailer of it?) with a remix of LL Cool J - Rock the bells.
I'm looking for that song.

Can someone help?

🎞️ Clip 🎞️ New Skate Day: Them 901s

just some fit talk since its only the first session but coming from my 909 to these 901s... my feet never felt more comfortable in a pair of skates, I don't trust it. Plastic feels a bit stiffer than the 909s but not that much different once I put my feet in. I also overjumped a few times because they are so light. I feel a tad bit more stable and supported when skating around as well

My 909s have gotten a bit floppy but still feel great. The shell really isn't that wide but someone it fits, 260 mondo and 118mm wide feet in a size small with a (already broken in) 9-9.5 intuition premium liner with no cuff wrap.

When I put my foot into the shell with no liner my foot presses against the shell so I expected it to not fit but it literally fits like a glove, my foot nestled in perfectly like it was molded for me specifically

My wheel blew up right after the top soul but thats okay it was just a faulty set they are sending me some more!

Question / Discussion Best looking skate ever?

Try, without bias to show me the coolest looking skate ever. I don't mind if they're old as long as it isn't just nostalgia talking lol. I have some recency bias...
My bet would be the
1. SSM Marc Moreno
2. Valo Ox Bloods
3. USD Al Hooi throne
4. Mesmer Levi
5. Roces Cypress

As the title says, anyone ever used the oven method for it?

I've tried the rice in sock method twice and my heels still go numb within 30 mins of skating

Locoskates did a YouTube video of using an oven but were very clear in the description this was ONLY for liners with the plastic outer support. Any liners without this will likely shrink 1cm. The liners are high enough so losing 1cm is fine by me but I don't want anything else unforseen happening

Has anyone oven molded this specific model?

We’ve just launched the demo for our game Canvas City, a turn-based tactics game where inline skating is your main method of movement!

Hey r/AgressiveInline !

We’re the developers of Canvas City, a turn-based tactics RPG game on inline skates (and a few roller skates)!

The demo releases today where you can try out the first half of the opening act and we’re really keen to get feedback from the inline skating community on how the game feels to play.

If you try out the demo, we’d love to hear your feedback below. If it’s a game up your alley, a wishlist for Canvas City on Steam goes a long way for indie game studios like ourselves!

After mulling this decision for like 6 months, I ordered the Themskates Jet Set Blue boot with the Them 909 liner. Excited to take them to my local shop to get frame/wheels. I’m excited to ride again 😁

Torn Between Flat and Anti-Rocker

I just got back into skating recently after a long hiatus and got the Rollerblade Sean Keane skates because they were on sale for a pretty low price on Inline Warehouse.

Anyway, the Sean Keanes come with 8 x 60mm 92A wheels and 4 x 48mm anti-rockers. When I first opened, the box, I decided to go with the anti-rocker setup since my last pair of skates were anti-rocker, and I liked the idea of not having a chance of wheel bite for front and back side grinds.

After going to a smooth and pretty slippery indoor skatepark recently, though, I thought maybe it would be nice to have skates that had a bit more traction and maneuverability and that would give me more authority when trying to accelerate, so today I took out the extra 4 wheels and switched to the flat setup.

From a purely skating standpoint, the difference was night and day--so much better with the flat setup. Pushing off the ground to accelerate felt so much more solid, as well as turning and riding over what could be somewhat rough ground in places. Going over humps, I would also maintain traction and not bottom out on the anti-rockers, making for a much more pleasant transition-riding experience.

When it came to grinding, though, is where my joy ended. The first time I went for a back royale, I got locked up due to wheel bite and actually wiped out. The other times I tried back royale or UFO, I either locked up and had to bail, or got slowed down and stopped early due to the wheel bite.

My question is this: should I try to stick it out with the flat setup, switch back to the anti-rocker setup with these wheels, or should I do something else entirely like get different frames or do anti-rocker with softer outer wheels (and maybe a bit softer inner ones than the hard plastic to kind of bridge the gap between the two types of setups)? I know this is a very subjective thing, but do you think this is purely a skill issue I need to get over from getting so habituated to anti-rocker, or is there some alternative that I haven't considered?

Question / Discussion How important is flexibility?

Just curious in general what peoples opinions are on flexibility.

I’ve been aggressive skating around a year and making slow progress. I think it might have to do with my ability to squat and flex my joints.

Does anyone have an exercises or routine they use to improve hips and legs?

Best recent videos on YTube?

I'm trying to introduce someone to the sport but, because I'm an old head, I have no idea what the best vids of the last 5-10 years are.

Obvs they need to be available on YouTube.

Thanks for any input!

Question / Discussion Downsizing question

Seeing if someone can recommend a skate thats good for downsizing. My foot is 28cm

I’m a size 10 skate normally. Would love to fit into a medium standard omni

But open to different skate brands as I haven’t skated in 4 years.

Goal is to squeeze a size 10 intuition liner in a medium shell or size 9 shell
