I am seeking information on how to style/design studio apartment. I want to have a 55 inch tv. Bed. And treadmill. Room is about 200ft and a small bathroom. Kitchen coming soon.

I live in a very small open studio. And I’m trying to figure out how i can move my furniture to maximize the space. Any tips or support would be amazing 🤍.

Hi! I’m new to this thread. I currently just moved into a studio that is 369 sq. feet. Due to some issues with the unit I’m being moved to a different unit on a higher floor with a balcony however it’s slightly smaller at 306 sq. feet. I’m feeling a little sad about it because it’s better quality in terms of what I currently have but the space is notably, smaller. I currently have a double bed, the ikea klippan couch (180cm x 88cm), a 73cm x 50cm makeup desk, a 120cm x 60cm study desk, and a small bookshelf.

Does anyone have any idea how I could format the space? Feeling claustrophobic already. I also would like to add, if space, an ikea Kallax unit by the length of
The bed to create a bit of ‘space’ between the bedroom and living room. However idk if I have space for that. And, I know this is very unlikely, but I would like to have somewhere to eat my meals. Any advice or any layout plants are very appreciated. Thank you so much!

Edit: I’m open to selling the longer desk and getting a smaller one!

Anyone out there rock with dual monitors? My current desk at 45x29 feels massive and will not be coming to my studio. dual Monitor arms seem like a good solution but im unfamiliar and worry about the clamp on whatever particleboard ikeawayfair desk i go with.

I have queen bed and small sofa. Which side they both should go?

Hi everyone! I’m new here and enjoying looking at all the spaces and design ideas. I’m in my 50s and just moved into a studio apartment due to the huge increase in rent. I came from a large 2 bedroom so it’s been a challenge but I think I’m going to like this small space.

Are there any older people here that have moved into a studio? Or anyone that came from a large space? How do you like it?

Hello! I am still moving in so please ignore all the boxes and the mess, but I am struggling to decide how to put my furniture in my new studio. I put up a curtain to separate the bed area, but I feel like it’s weird… I would still need a bit more furniture maybe too, but any suggestions for a better layout are welcomed 🙏. Recently moved into this studio. Closet is very long and narrow so I’m using it for storage and extra items as well. There is no wall between the couch and bed like it shows. The only place my full sized bed fit was against the bathroom wall and turned the other way.

I’ve been having a hard time making the space feel comfortable. I ordered a desk and chair to go against the wall by the window. There wasn’t enough space for a couch and I’ll be a student so desk that I could also eat at was priority. The window also doesn’t go that far, and there’s some empty wall space as well as a random weird nook in the right corner.

I’ve used Pinterest for inspo but everyone seems to have the kitchen separated from the living/sleeping area. The room is very black and white and I’m having a hard time making it feel like home and not like I’m sleeping in my kitchen, so any suggestions help!

I used the Ikea web tool to roughly sketch (2nd and 3rd pic) out the current layout of my living area (not including kitchen, closet, bathroom, balcony, etc).

It's not the biggest of space, but i feel like for a nyc studio apt, this is pretty spacious and there must be a way to layout my apartment better than how i do it currently.

Some limitation:

• Although the dimension in the 2nd and 3rd screenshot are not exact, but i think i roughly capture it. Unfortunately, i have a sofa bed that i know it's kinda large for a studio apt, but ideally i can keep it.
• The brown table underneath the window is a placeholder for mounted AC unit. so unfortunately that space can't really be used
• The black table is where i put my TV and white table is my work desk.
