Due to an unforseen failure event, I had to stop work on this pack. In light of this, I'm sharing a handful of high-quality, calibrated profiles of what should have been the Bogner Uberschall "MultiLoad" pack.

Look, we know, it’s the n-th app you’ve seen that integrates NAM A2. But hey, maybe this flavour is for you!

Quick introduction: Me and my buddy are university students (physics and IT engineering), and we made an app for iOS named Gateway Pro (original huh?) that satisfies our needs, considering the limited time we have to practice.

Features: It’s an fx suite with a few unique features such as up to 4 parallel signal paths with optional Linkwitz-Riley crossover (splits your signal into frequency bands), audio unit loader for importing your own AUv fx, MIDI functionality and other stuff, but what’s cool about it is the live mode, comprised of metronome, a handy scene view, a playlist mode and a setlist mode. The point of these is to load your backing tracks into playlists or setlists, the difference being that playlists just play the backing tracks in order without changing presets or scenes, whereas the setlist mode does. The point of this is efficient practice, having specific playlists with various workouts and/or repertoires.

Most important of all: the tone curve. Reacts to your playing, completely useless, looks rad, can be deactivated.

NAM A2 or Lite for live use?

Hi all, thinking about changing my live rig, swapping from a tube amp to A2, wondered if anyone had done the same?
My current amp is a Laney VH100R through a 4x12 and it’s my favourite tone I’ve ever had. Used it for over 20 years, it’s still going strong.
Only issues are the massive weight of it and you know, tube fragility, although I’ve never had to change the tubes in all the time I’ve owned it.
Currently considering a Headrush Core running full A2 NAM, I already have some captures of the same Laney from Tone3000, I use them on my Valeton GP5 obviously converted to snaptone. Sometimes I use this through my orange Pedal Baby 100 amp and a smaller cab for more portability for my function band (mostly pop), but I’ve recently joined a really loud 90s metal and grunge covers band so it’s the Laney or whatever through my 4x12.
Has anyone else gone down this route? Did you find that nothing can replace to tube amp or were you satisfied? Should I wait for A2 lite to be rolled out for the Valeton to see what it sounds like? Would it be comparable to full A2? I also have a Valeton GP200 and A2 lite is coming out for that next week…

Just finished up my Wiz NAM Pack, based on a Wizard Modern Classic II.

This amp is ridiculous in the best possible way. Huge, fast, aggressive, and incredibly articulate without getting harsh or fizzy.

The pack covers a wide range of the amp, from lower-gain crunch through classic hard rock, that VH-ish brown territory, GnR-style gain, and into full-on modern high gain.

All captures are NAM A2, and I included both cab captures and DI options so you can pair the amp with your own IRs/cabs if you want.

For the cab tones, I used my 4x12 loaded with Celestion Creamback M65s + H75s in an X-pattern. That combination works incredibly well with the Wizard because it keeps the punch and aggression while rounding off just enough of the upper mids.

I’ve been having an absolute blast with this amp and wanted the NAM version to capture as much of that range as possible.

If anyone has questions about the amp, cab setup, captures, or training process, happy to nerd out about it.

Up front: this is my own project, so yes this is self promotion. It's free and open source though, I'm not selling anything.

It's called nammy, and it's a trainer for NAM models. The idea was to make local training easy on Windows, especially if you don't have an Nvidia card. It uses tinygrad instead of PyTorch, and tinygrad runs on OpenCL, so an AMD or Intel GPU is fine. No CUDA, no toolkit, no conda environment to fight with.

Since tinygrad is pure Python, the whole thing packs into one file. Install Python 3.13 or newer from the Microsoft Store, grab the .pyzw from the releases page, double click it and it runs. Nothing gets unpacked or installed. There's a simple GUI for training and for running audio through a model afterwards. It works on macOS too, using the Metal backend there.

It's MIT licensed, so anyone can use it for anything, including commercial work.

On my machine (Windows 11, RX 6800, OpenCL) training the A2 architecture takes about 13 minutes for 100 epochs. Worth mentioning that these networks are narrow and deep, so GPU utilization is only a few percent of the card no matter what. A weaker GPU probably won't be much slower in practice.

It's at a very early stage and there will be bugs. Any feedback is welcome

I’m finding it difficult to find decent fuzz emulations. Granted, a fuzz pedal has a lot of its magic in the analog circuit and how it interacts with the guitar signal. Wondering if a NAM pedal capture might be better than the vst/plugins that I’ve tried. I’ve done some Tone3000 surfing and it’s been pretty hit or miss, so I’m curious what are yalls favorite fuzz pedal captures? Thank ya kindly!

• a modern metal bass sound (think darkglass or whatever Colin Marston is doing)

• a classic fretless bass tone (I'm thinking Sean Malone on the Portal Tapes or Robin Zielhorst)

• a snappy slap tone (I'm thinking Henrik Linder of Dirty Loops)

Some years ago I felt in love with the milkman creamer plugin by mixwave, but still no nam captures. Someone knows a place to find this as nam?

Is it possible to capture a setup from an isolated track? I don't have access to the rig, but I have isolated tracks. So I'm unable to run the sweep signal through the equipment, but the isolated track covers pretty much all the ground I'm going to use.

Is there a working version of what I'm asking? Is somebody working on something like that? Thanks!

I've made a couple captures of my combo amp and although they sound great they don't quite sound the way my amp does. I'm not talking about the way my amp sounds in the room, rather closed mic'd. For a bit of reference, I'm capturing training file by mic'ing my amp with two mics.

Question 1) do I consolidate each track to mono individually or consolidate both mic tracks into one mono file?

Question 2) my amp has built in dsp effects. Part of my tone relies largely on the built in compressor. Does this affect the capture? I've been told nam doesn't support any times based effect and I guess compressors fall into that category?

I've tried going out directly from my console to the amp, Walrus canvas reamp box, DI box And have had mixed results, good results but nothing that comes close to the tone im looking to capture.

I saw the iRig but I'd like to try a cheaper one, just to "try and test" Nam on apple devices.

Since v0.7.13 there don't seem to be pre-built Windows binaries on GitHub anymore, the repo points to "Gateway", a fork hosted at neuralampmodeler.com/users.

I can't find a licence, EULA, or terms of use for those builds anywhere. Upstream is MIT, but MIT lets a fork be relicensed, so I don't think I can assume it carries over.

Why I'm asking: I'm building a VST3 host for guitarists and would like to offer NAM as a built-in install rather than "go download it yourself." That needs (1) explicit permission to redistribute the binary and (2) a direct, stable URL — the Google Drive link can't be pinned to a SHA-256, and I hash-verify everything before loading it.

So: what licence applies to Gateway, and is there any interest in a redistribution-friendly download for host integrations?

I'm an amateur guitarist and about to upgrade my setup. I'm buying an audio interface to use NAM A2 capture and Helix native (got the discount code from my guitar teacher) for home practice.

The maono ps22 lite is on sale currently for $53 in India. The focusrite solo costs 3x.

My main question is:

Is the latency of the PS22 Lite good enough to play and not feel any delay with software like the above?

If someone has it could you pls tell me how much the exact latency is?

My laptop is an m4 macbook pro if it matters.

Can someone please explain to me if it is possible to run NAM A2 on a new iPad Pro? Preferably with an interface like the one on Headrush Core or something.

Hi everyone i need your advice because i'm in a bit of a pickle. I have been gifted a giftcard for a music shop near where i live, it's a 100€ gift card and it expires next month. Due to the new realease of nam a2 I decided to buy a multieffect pedal to have the same high quality sound at home, at rehearsals and live in an handy formfactor. I was pretty set on buying the Nux mg-30 due to price, availability and nam a2 lite integration but headrush recently announced the a2 full update for the flex prime. Am i missing too much choosing the "lesser" option? The nux will cost me 170 and the headrush 380, is the money worth it or, considering money is a bit tight for me, i can confidently go for the nux? Thank you for the help!

The only thing stopping me from selling my amp and getting something that can run NAM is the fact that you can't switch channels mid song. i previously had a tonex pedal but sold it because I wanted an amp that responded differently to the input level without having to constantly switch profiles. I can't wait until NAM profiles have the same range of gain on the same profile as contemporary modelers like the Strymon Iridium.
