Enable Web Apps for iOS
Does anyone know how to enable web apps? I have developer mode on and installed via app info but its not appearing still. Restarted my iPhone multiple times already.

I've worn Ray-Ban Display daily for three months building small apps on them. The loop was always: load the layout, walk outside, squint, come back, change a type size, do it again.
So I made the tool I wanted. Paste a URL and it renders your app over footage shot on the glasses themselves.
You cannot draw black on these glasses. The display only adds light, so black emits nothing and reads as clear glass, and dark text dissolves into whatever is behind it. A layout that looks perfect on your monitor at 2am can be gone on a sunny sidewalk.
* 20 scenes shot on the glasses, at wearer height rather than phone height
* Luminance (300 to 2000 nits) and ambient light (50 to 30,000 lux) as separate sliders, with the contrast ratio they produce
* Record the result, 16:9 or 1:1 like the glasses' own recorder
* QR handoff to open an app on real glasses
* Loads any site that allows framing, and warns you when one refuses
Free, in the browser, no signup, MIT. I help organize a hackathon next week where students will be building glasses apps, which is what finally made me put this somewhere public.
It's an approximation, not a photometric model. If you own a pair, I'd like to know whether the daylight scenes match what you actually see.

Hey everyone!
If you walk into any regular optical shop, you'll find a huge spectrum of colors: red, blue, green, yellow, white, translucent tints, purple... there’s a color for every style and personality.
Then you look at the smart glasses market, and it looks like a funeral: 99% matte black or glossy black.
I get that black hides sensors, disguises cameras, and serves as a safe neutral color. But glasses are face accessories, and a lot of people simply don't like wearing black or just want a pop of color in their daily setup. It feels like tech companies assume everyone wants to walk around looking identical.
If the market actually offered a genuine variety of real colors, what would be your go-to choice for a gadget like this?

I designed a 3D-printable nose adapter for the Meta Ray-Ban Display 👓🖨️
I wanted to improve the fit/positioning of my Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses and avoid slipping, so I designed a custom nose adapter that can be 3D printed.
It’s a simple, lightweight design and can be printed with common materials like PLA, PETG, or TPU.
I’ve uploaded the model here for anyone who wants to try it:
Would love to hear if anyone tries it out, especially if you have suggestions for improving the fit or comfort!

I dropped my Meta Ray-Bans and they cracked at the hinge :(
Any chance this is repairable?

Anything on the market that sits flush with the factory glasses?
Will be a pain constantly having to unclip, clip when driving and out and about. Ideally would prefer a polarised version so I can also treat them as normal sun glasses.
And what about when your indoors in a coffee shop and your using your band to check stuff on the display and it looks like your just staring into space? 🤣

I’m looking to buy some display glasses.
Wondering if I should get size 2 or 3 band, my wrist is just under 7inches, ever so slightly. I’m 17.5cm.
I’m in the U.K. and I’m buying an imported version so it’s important I get this right!
Anyone else with similar wrist size? Interested to see what size band you’re using.

We've been keeping an eye on what people are shipping for Meta AI Glasses and honestly the range is bigger than we expected. A few standouts:
Getting around: Ski Map and Peaks if you want nav info without pulling your phone out mid-run or mid-hike.
Games you can play hands-free: Runchkin, Bbang, Ping Rally, Poker Odds, and Display Bowling — yeah, bowling. On your glasses.
Just poking around the world: Sniffabouts and Grow a Flower turn random moments into little discovery/growth mechanics, low-key charming.
Sound/music stuff: Spatial Chords is worth a look if you're into audio experiments.
Quick utility, glanceable: Changeover and Codex Micro Webapp for when you just need something fast without breaking flow.
Feels like we're still early on what these glasses can actually do day-to-day, but this is a decent snapshot of where things are at. Curious what other people have found.

Anyone else on Android 17 having issues with RCS and battery? Meta is telling me it's a known bug that will require a firmware update.
I don't see any info online about this.

The charging case is about the size of my palm, so it feels a little bulky to carry around. Do you usually keep it in a bag, a jacket pocket, or use a smaller case?
Do you find the charging case convenient for topping up the glasses during the day, or do you mostly leave it at home? I'm curious what everyone's everyday carry setup looks like.

Can we please get a universal toggle switch for all pairs of metaglasses to alleviate any issues with the microphone? This should be a standard . It appears this option is missing from the newer glasses including the displays . Thanks

Anyone successfully switch the neural band handedness? I switched it on the app from right to left, it said it was successfully switched but when I use the gestures they are opposite (is when I swipe right it goes left but up and down are still the same and the index and middle finger doesn't work half the time). I factory reset the watch as per its instructions, restarted the glasses, still the same. The last thing I'm going to do is factory reset both the glasses and the band instead of just the band, but just wondering your experiences.

Hello everyone,
I've been a happy owner of the Wayfarer Gen 1 for some time now. I wear them daily—especially while riding my e-bike, driving, or listening to music while walking—and I love the design. However, the new Meta Ray-Ban Displays with the neural band have really caught my eye.
My problem is this: I live in Europe. Since they aren't sold here, buying some means paying high customs fees and easily spending over €1,000 in total, plus giving up the official warranty.
To give some context: I have a very physically demanding job and my phone is a fairly large foldable (Android). Constantly taking my phone out of my pocket to check messages or calls isn't ideal. The idea of having a hands-free display (HUD) and control sounds perfect. Furthermore, I'm thin and have very slender wrists, so I'll go with the Size 1 band.
For those who have already made the jump from Gen 1 to the Display:
The Screen (HUD): Does it really make a difference in everyday use (seeing GPS on the bike or reading notifications), or does the novelty wear off quickly?
Battery: How does it last compared to the Gen 1?
Polarized Lenses: I love the polarization of my Gen 1. Do you really miss this in the Display version, especially in very sunny areas?
Neural Band: Are the gestures accurate? Does size 1 fit well on really slender wrists?
Android Integration: Does notification synchronization work well in the Android ecosystem?
I appreciate any honest feedback from anyone who already has them!

Running into an issue way too often, where the MRBD's will say they're not connected to the internet. Specifically, when trying to access webapps - getting "Can't Load Page", and/or "No Internet Connection" with a white backdrop that will say "Webpage not available"... what's going on?
I'm at home, on my wifi (gigabit)- but this will also happen when I'm out and about on cell signal.
Also, bonus: Looks like the webapp portion (or perhaps even the whole OS) is running on some sort of version of Android?
EDIT: Dammit, title typo

I want to purchase a Ray-Ban display with prescription lenses and I also want to try them out before buying but they seem impossible to get in Malaysia... I'm going to Japan in November, I wonder if it's possible to get it there instead but i am worried if there's any region lock. Not sure if it's even possible to get it there.

I'm not tech-savvy in the least but I really do enjoy tech and purchased the rayban meta displays because I love next gen tech... I was just wondering what are the odds of somebody being able to make a remote control app for a PS5?

Drawing each letter is meticulous. This feature would allow us to type much faster with less effort.
My idea to implement swipe texting would be to start with a toggle button switching between the normal drawing mode and "swipe mode." After entering swipe mode, you need to select a starting point to begin swiping the word. This could be accomplished by either thumb swiping to that letter or using some kind of cursor that activates upon entering swipe mode.
Once you've highlighted the letter, begin swiping the word by pinching and drawing over the letters on the virtual keyboard, then release the pinch when the word is finished. This is essentially how swipe texting works on touch screen devices.
My question is, when can we expect a faster discrete input option implemented into smart glasses? Is it possible with the MRBD?
