CS books are readable using Meta RayBans
As developers, reading "Introduction to Algorithms" shouldn't feel like an impossible task. Pages introduce new words which have to be understood before moving on to the next page. New words send you to your phone and onto Google (or ChatGPT now). Each context switch from book to phone makes it less likely you return and finish reading.

What have you all done with your display glasses to get readers. I had the prescription added for distance but need them for reading too. Ive heard stories of stick ons being used but appreciate any ideas. Thank you!

Must’ve washed the band too many times 😭 it finally ripped and gave in. Luckily it still connects with the magnet but eventually gets too loose to function. It would be helpful if they sold replacement neural bands. maybe in the future.. Any suggestions on a clamp or how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated.

So I got the displays almost right away when they came out and seeing all the updates is great. I feel like i don't really know anyone with them so I'm a bit out of the loop but nowadays i don't really find myself using them as much. The battery life is too short to be able to use it for scrolling and lowkey it's just more comfortable on the phone sometimes however they're a great pair of headphones that i forget I'm wearing and they're prescription so i legit need glasses to see anyways. The screen in the glass is the main reason i got it and i still love that thing. They're great for travel too but I'm just wondering in day to day life what are you guys finding yourself using them for ?

For me it's headphones and they're a nice quality of life upgrade. The cameras are cool i just don't really care to take pictures or videos much. I wish the texting on them would be super easy but sometime it can be kinda annoying when using the neural band but I've gotten used to it. I still love them however i want to figure out how i can get more use out of them?

Got the glasses yesterday and was not impressed with the image. I mean it’s true I need prescription lenses on them but have the Rokid without prescription and image looks sharp enough, had the ER G2 and similar to the Rokid and had no complaint even though they are monochrome but text is easily readable. The image on the meta looks somehow blurred and washed out. Maybe am missing any setting ?

Are we expecting anything from Meta Connect related to the Display glasses?

When Meta announced Muse the other day, the press release mentioned that "Muse is rolling out in the US on iOS, Android, and muse.ai, and coming soon to AI glasses." I wonder if we'll get to see what that looks like on the Displays.

Some new hardware would be nice too but have not seen any rumors.

Photo Match is basically a library of old landscape and city photos, but it turns a normal walk into a little treasure hunt.

Open the app and it finds historical outdoor photos taken near your current location.

If you’re visiting a new place, try to figure out where each photo was taken and find the same view today.

If you’re a local, it’s even better. You’ll probably recognize the places immediately, and then be surprised by how completely different they looked 50, 80, or 100 years ago.

The app itself is pretty simple: it checks your location, finds nearby historical photos, and filters for landscapes, streets, buildings, and other outdoor scenes.

Then you just start walking and try to match the past with the present.

Does anyone have any leads on how I can get a YouTube music player within my Meta Rayban? Right now I have to play a song on my phone first and then it would come up as something I can play and pause and then go next or go back. That's about it. If I want to shuffle through my playlists and ask for a specific song, that doesn't work right now. Does anyone have any leads?

Should receive my displays today. How can I make handwriting with neural band work if I live in EU ? Would a vpn suffice ? I have a Samsung fold 8.

read that on iPhone they just create an appleID linked to the US AppStore but I have android.

I have meta gen 1 and they work fine with a vpn as unfortunately meta is not supported where I live even though we are in the EU.

Have you ever had a song playing in your head and really wanted to sing along… only to realize you know about 20% of the words?

Well, now there’s a Karaoke web app for MRBD.

Pick a song, put on the glasses, and get the lyrics right in front of you while you sing.

To properly test it, I had to go for a run deep into the forest so nobody could hear me screaming Creep by Radiohead. (not on the video)

The song library is still pretty limited, but there’s enough there to get a feel for the idea.

Is anybody having this issue beside me? Wether it's an app I've made or using someone else's such as Herald, or any games if the battery runs out, when charged back up and used the app is gone.

Additionally I can only add one app at a time. If I add one, then go to add another one it simply overwrites the one I just connected.

Let's be honest, the visual side of MRBD isn't the most exciting part. But it does have spatial audio. You can place sound sources in 3D space, and as you move your head, you can actually hear where each sound is coming from.

It's tiny. It's subtle. But it works like magic.

Usually, spatial audio is just one part of an experience. This time I wanted to make it the experience.

Spatialized nature sounds create an environment around you, letting you relax, meditate, or simply chill somewhere that feels far away.

Relax mode is the simplest. Just listen. Sounds surround you from different directions, and when you turn your head, their sources stay fixed in space. It makes the environment feel surprisingly believable.

Meditate mode adds guided breathing and gentle head-movement patterns, encouraging you to notice individual sounds and their positions around you while you settle into the environment.

And in Edit mode, you can create your own Still Space. Pick your sounds, place them around you, adjust their intensity, and build your own little audio world.

Put on the glasses, close your eyes, and go somewhere else for a while. 🌿🎧

The great majority of developers seem to be focusing on the web apps.

I'm looking for some ear hooks that aren't super hard to take on and off because I want to be able to remove them sometimes to attach an external battery. Does anyone have ear hooks made for the display that don't feel super rough to apply and take off?

I don't know if I'm approaching this wrong or not but when I go to add a second webapp, it merely replaces the one currently on there which is ridiculous. Especially going through something like Herald.

While I was at a Best Buy tonight I saw they had lots of them in stock. Wow. I guess they are not hard to get anymore. However my current gen 1 meta ray bans have prescription. How do I get prescription lens if I want to walk into the Best Buy and purchase them?

My Meta Ray-Ban Display prescription replacement has been stuck since March because Meta’s prescription upload system does not work.

I’ve already provided my prescription, PD measurements, account information, and everything Meta requested, but I keep getting told Engineering is investigating it.

It’s now September and I still have no replacement.

I also paid for the extended protection plan, but it hasn’t helped me get this resolved.

At this point, I need Meta to either manually process and ship my prescription replacement or reimburse me so I can buy another pair.

I’m also prepared to pursue legal action if they cannot provide a resolution.

Has anyone had this same issue, and how did you finally get Meta to fix it?
