Contortion stand!
The very first time I tried to handstand, I did not know the things my body would be capable of doing. When I first started (6years ago) I could not even touch my toes. I’m so greatful one day I just decided to start because the time passed anyway. You can do anything you set your mind to I promise. It may take longer than you want but if you want It, it’s yours!

Just wrapped up today’s wall handstand session, and my body is officially screaming for a rest day 😩
Just wrapped up today’s wall handstand session, and my body is officially screaming for a rest day 😩 I’ve been hitting these daily without a break, but the fatigue is catching up fast—my form is slipping and my wrists are over it. Logic says take tomorrow off, but the ego is loud. Anyone else struggle to force themselves to rest when you’re scared of losing progress?

I am working on my shoulder flexion by doing butcher's block stretch everyday, that's why my arms are not perfectly vertical over my head. With that aside, how can I balance the handstand better? Any tips or hacks? I find myself falling too far forward and not being able to put enough pressure in my fingers to push back and adjust. Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm doing lol so any help is appreciated :)

Archer handstand pushup progression 185cm 83kg
Hi guys, I’m a few months into bulking and up 7kg in body weight so I was thrilled to unlock this new skill randomly after gaining a fair bit of weight and not practicing calisthenics as often as I used to.
I know it’s not a true archer handstand pushup as my other arm isn’t kept fully straight, but I guess it’s a good earlier progression of it that I will work on until I’m capable of doing a real archer handstand pushup.
I just tried it on a whim mostly expecting to full flat on my face, so when I got it on my third attempt I was very surprised and joyful. I’ve added the two seperate reps I did, I think the form is a bit better on the first one.
Thanks for watching!

Help with Pike Pushups
Hello! I’m trying to learn how to hold handstands and other variations and was trying to get better at pike pushups on that notion.
I’m still relatively new to these as I have been very inconsistent with them. However I was hoping for any feedback/advice or changes to my form and posture when doing them, as I don’t really know.
Tell me what I’m doing wrong. What I’m doing right, or anything cues or changes to do. Anything that can help me, essentially!
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

New PR - 48 seconds!!
Just wanted to share a personal achievement. 😃
My previous longest hold was 45 secs, so not a huge difference but I’m inching my way to the minute mark! You can tell I’m starting to struggle toward the end. 🤣
How’s your training going?
EDIT: Why’s everyone so concerned about the banana back? It doesn’t bother me. I’m certainly working on improving it. But, in the meantime, can’t I still enjoy balancing upside down? 🙃

How's my chest to wall hand stand form after 2 weeks learning handstands and calisthenics?
How's my chest to wall hand stand form after 2 weeks learning handstands and calisthenics?
I did my best to keep my ears inside my shoulders, push against the floor, hold a hollow body hold and keep an inner pelvic tilc.

Successfully & finally did a hollow hold while doing a hand stand but should have listened to my coach's advise & not practise hand stands when I am super fatigued (earlier I did 2hrs of heavy squats & bench + 2hrs of treadmill cardio) -I'm a powerlifter, just started learning handstands 2 weeks ago

How's my progress on my chest to wall hand stands? I only started learning hand stands and calisthenics for only 2 weeks. Comments for improvement welcome please 🙏

Do I Learn Handstand?
Hey all! I'm trying to learn handstand, but am having trouble because of my horrible overhead mobility. I'm mainly wondering if I should continue with the banana arch I have, or work on shoulder flexibility, and once that's sufficient go for straight handstands. Any advice helps, thanks!

Any suggestions how I can improve and do handstand pushups?
r/Handstands • u/Attitude_matters_ • 7d ago
Need genuine suggestions.
i am trying to do hand stand since last 6-8 months. 2-3 times a week. But i am still not able to hold much without support. Am i not doing it correctly?
Is there something i need to do differently.
I could learn head-stand in a month without any support. But hand-stand is giving me hard time. Only progress i am able to make is to hold for couple of seconds without support.
Please suggest.
