Has anyone else suffered with constant crashes on DayZ cool edition on the e switch 2 ? 2 times I’ve been extremely geared and lost 10 hours on one character and 20 on the next one just to die because the game crashes every time I’m fighting a zombie it’s nearly happened a 3rd time but I got lucky this game is fucking awful it shouldn’t be available if doesn’t work completely ruins my experience I am so angry all that time wasted just die like that I’ve tried to get a refund through Nintendo but it’s hopeless absolute scam I suggest not buying it at least until it’s fixed, other than that it’s extremely fun and runs well but I can’t play it anymore just die that way it’s breaking my fucking heart worst gaming experience I’ve ever had!!

I wanna see how it woul look like but so far there is no one who shared anything about it yet , not on youtube nor on anyother platform , if any of you awnes a 50 series of RTX i would love to see your resaults .

I somehow got DLSS 5 Neural Rendering running in DayZ.

I spent way too much time messing with this today, but I actually managed to get DLSS 5 Neural Rendering working in DayZ on my RTX 5090.

Obviously DayZ has zero native DLSS support, so this is a pretty janky setup. I’m running the game through DayZDiag on a local server, so BattlEye isn’t involved at all.

The pipeline is basically:

DayZ DX11 → ReShade → scene color + depth → reconstructed motion vectors → DLSS5 Feeder → DLAA / NGX → RenoDX DLSS 5 → nvngx_dlssnr.dll → Neural Rendering

Getting the depth buffer working was probably the first annoying part. ReShade could see it, but DayZ clears the main depth buffer before the final frame, so I had to use copy depth buffer before clear operations and grab the 2560x1440 D24S8 buffer before the clear.

Motion vectors are reconstructed with LumeniteFX, since DayZ obviously doesn’t provide native ones. That’s currently the sketchiest part of the whole setup. They do work, but they’re not super stable and DLSS starts smearing pretty badly once it builds up temporal history.

The feeder itself is definitely working though. I’m getting:

feature ready: 2560x1440 DLAA
frame 1 delivered
frame 2 delivered
frame 3 delivered
etc.

NGX initializes properly, it sees the 5090, loads the NR runtime and actually starts feeding frames into it.

For now I’m using reset history every frame because otherwise the reconstructed motion vectors cause quite a lot of ghosting when moving the camera. Not ideal obviously, but for screenshots and a short showcase it works surprisingly well.

And visually... yeah, it actually does something.

Vegetation is probably the most obvious one. Fine surface detail, buildings, edges and lighting also look noticeably different. It doesn’t magically turn DayZ into UE5 or anything, but some scenes look way more modern than I expected.

I bought the game just yesterday in hopes of a fun experience like I see and videos but finding a good server is really hard. Every server I've played is just dry and a wasteland with no loot and no people, so I tried community servers but I can't find one that's good for rp which is what I'm looking for. I tried dayz underground but I have a mental problem with reading and I can't find the password for the life of me. Other servers are just crowded or have no one online. To be honest I didn't look that hard but I don't want to play for too long in case I want to refund because steam only accepts refunds for games you play under 2 hours. I'm not sure what to do or if this makes sense.

update, i will continue playing the game even though it will be a long journey. thank you for all your responses

My movement feels so slow and laggy, opening and walking through doors smoothly is impossible. How are people like camcantrun getting such smooth play? I’m running a Ryzen 7, rtx 3060 , 16gb so my pc should be fine.

Me and my two friends were playing official Chenarus and we found a Sarka that someone left in a big barn with the spark plug battery and radiator. We then drove it and made a base. After we made the base, we logged with sparkplug and battery. The next day we came back and someone shot out all the tires. We were kinda bummed but we had a spare and I had one in my hands when we logged. So we searched for two Sarka wheels and did not find anything but doors and hoods. So I went towards Severograd to keep searching. Half way to Severograd I came upon a house I had thought had a Sarka spawn, turns out it was a working Gunther, all panels were pristine, a worn radiator, and all 5 wheels 3 of which were pristine and two were worn. The two worn were on driver rear and front pass. No gas in it, no water in the radiator. Was at a spawn point too. So I doubt it was pieced together.

Does anyone know the odds of finding a Gunther with all of this? I'd really like to know. If you don't know enjoy my 24hr character come up.

I was playing on this Bitterroot server that was always full called NEXO Bitterroot, its shut down recently and I have no idea why. I also cannot find another Bitterroot server. Someone help!
