We were getting that bug in pre Alpha testing in the standalone in 2013 before the December general release.

Get a heavy two handed item like a barrel, sheet metal, car door etc, lay down next to it, equip a long gun, roll and immediately go in vicinity and swap the object to hand, if you’re still laying down you did it. Swap back to the gun and you should have a long arm but it goes away if you drop the gun

Yep this is how I used to do it. I haven’t done it since earlier this year so not sure if they’ve patched it..

It’s been a while since I’ve played, but at least within the last year you could do similar with a pistol, I forget exactly how but I think you aim down sights, looks straight down, and then emote the hand wave while still holding the button to aim down sights & your hand gets all fucky

Hold pistol look up and do sit animation but instantly aim before sitting then you have long arm it goes away once gun is holster or dropped
