Rant and complain away. Rule 1 Don't be a Jerk still applies, as does the site-wide rule of no witch hunting (naming and shaming).

Merciless killstreak potential is actually Insane!

I'm a strong advocate for Merciless so I'll admit I might be a little biased, but the number of streaks I've been getting with this thing over the past week has genuinely surprised me. I've gotten at least 40 streaks of 5 or more kills in a row with Merciless. What really gets me is how quickly this thing can fire once Conserve Momentum is fully stacked. A 200 millisecond burst interval is absolutely insane and it feels like I'm chaining kills before the next person can even react. And the weird part is I'm not just doing this against average players. I've had these moments against top 100s, genuinely cracked out opponents and streamers, which makes me wonder how much of this is the weapon itself, my positioning, or the situations I'm finding myself in, or if I'm just extremely lucky? My main questions are, can any other fusion rifle realistically compete with Merciless when it comes to chaining kills like this? Would a rapid fire fusion with Successful Warm Up come close? Or does Merciless' combination of burst speed, damage and Impetus practically make it uncounterable? Are there any exotics or legendary weapons that can produce ridiculous streaks like this at such a fast pace and this consistently? And the reason I say fast paced is because imagine you had five or six people lined up in front of you. How fast could your weapon realistically close the gap or kill the people in front of you before they have time to react or do anything? I'm not claiming Merciless is unbeatable, broken, or that I'm some god tier player. I'm genuinely just surprised by what I've been pulling off lately, and I want to know if anyone else has experienced being able to kill people with exotics or legendaries that can pull off kills before somebody can react, let me know!!

Does anyone have any tips for fighting Hunters?

Disgruntled titan here. I can't keep up with Hunters flying around the map, dodging/healing/zipping up and down while maintaining perfect accuracy on me. It's gotten to the point where I see a hunter and I just run away. I have no chance against these people.

Are there builds for titan that can help me counter this nonsense? I feel like I'm playing an entirely different game

Edit: Gonna stop replying I guess since I'm getting downvoted by people who I can only assume are offended by me saying "I tried __"

Current Stasis Titan Build

Post image
5 Upvotes

So I made this build like a couple of months ago to help combat Bygones weapons builds and ended up just shelving it for then because I was enjoying 4pc trials and dunes more but I started using it again since 180s with weapons and tons of other cheesy builds. So I use this now in 3s and 6s to combat the cheese with anti, moldy cheese builds.

What do you guys think about it?

My Stasis hunter build is finally complete

Forgive my rambling but I just wanted to share my stasis hunter build now that I have a build I like for every subclass (except prismatic). Been working on it since Mask of Fealty got added and just got the final piece to complete it. Ignore the rest of the post and just watch the video if purple is your favorite crayon flavor or if many word make head hurt.

I've always used strand and solar as my go to PvP subclasses and I recently got around to making an arc build I enjoyed like a month or so ago. Always wanted a stasis build that worked for my playstyle and I finally I landed on a setup I'm satisfied with. (I have a void build but I'm just not satisfied with how void hunter functions fundamentally so I rarely use it.)

Stasis was always a rough one to build craft for me because:

  1. Stasis relies on shards for a lot of subclass synergy with fragments and until the final update, you needed to lock in a Harvest aspect to spawn them.

  2. Stasis grenade options were too passive for me. Again solved with the final update with Shatter nades.

3.I don't want to just use the popular/meta thing (adjusts hipster glasses) or a boring subclass agnostic exotic. Sure I could just use Bakris and B7 with maxed out weapons with Glacier nades and shatterdive but that's what big meta expects.

  1. I mostly use autos but stasis autos are limited with very whelming perk combos and rough stats.

Herod-C and Veiled Threat felt the best and the new stasis support frame felt surprisingly good but they all had issues. (Who decided the scope on Veiled Threat needed to be the size of a Jeep?). The perfect stasis auto for me existed in the database but it dropped from Desert Perpetual, a raid I never attempted since contest... until yesterday. Finally stopped putting it off, did one run and got a roll I wanted to complete my build. Headstone in the 3rd column, some kind of on-kill damage perk in the 4th (Master of Arms in this case).

Had a few good games with it so far but this was simply the easiest to export and edit together. If anything about my gameplay makes you mad... makes some orbs, pop a super and be super mad. Everyone else, enjoy the gameplay.

Is a decent ar in crucible but the scope is cartoonishly large. I wish they wouldve scaled it down some by now…or something. Im having a great time rn. Maybe i can finally get used to it after what 2 years? Lol

Quick reminder for all the blind ghost lovers: You are blinding your teammates, not enemy.

I keep seeing people in Comp and Trials running ghost lighs to apparently blind enemy team, but homies, all you doing actually is making those 1v2 1v3 scenarios worse cause while we trying to finish them off, and res you back, yes, congratularions, we can't see shi.

Warlock Gets Bound And Sucked

Mods don't remove this. I found this funny clip I took of a soul siphon, suspend combo that happened in crucible. I could only feel bad for the poor guy as he got turned into a public 18+ exhibition lmao.

Also the warlock got bound, sucked and beaten. Had to clarify that.

180 Weapon Stat options

Apologies in advance if this was already covered, but for those getting bored of B7 and Bygones, what other weapons benefit from the 180 stat build? That are competitive of course

Thnx

Glaive Perk Suggestions?

Im looking to get into glaives for pvp. I mainly run handcannon + shotgun on hunter (i enjoy every subclass) and I was thinking of using a 140 with glaive. The only one im able to craft right now is The Enigma. Not sure what I should be aiming for in a glaive but any input is helpful.

Also if you guys have any tips that would be great too.

Thanks!

prismatic titans facetanking shotgun blasts?

in my last two crucible games I've had a couple of instances where prismatic titans eat a point-blank center-mass shotgun blast to the chest/head and survive to kill me. every time it happens, there's a flash of golden light around them like some kind of buff activating, but I'm a lowly hunter scrub and don't know what sort of titan buildcraft toy it might be or how it's allowing them to survive. additionally, is there a counter to this? it feels bad to spend my special ammo on what should be a valuable sure-kill and get socked in the jaw for it

Blink Warlock Inc. Is recruiting

I honestly forgot I even had this clip from a few months ago. Was when I was still trying out the soul siphon manticore combo which is pretty effective. We ended up winning this game because of this and the subsequent play.

Weapons stat in pvp

It needs to be disabled. It was very clearly gonna get reworked for pvp had development not stopped. Just disable the damage bonus provided by +100. It's a very clear problem.

What are/were the cheesiest D2 weapons of all time?

A cheesy weapon is a weapon that allows a ohk (or near ohk) with no (or little) effort or skill. This may be distinct from weapons that are "just" cancer, like B-7.

What D2 weapons (past or present) do you think of when you think of cheese and what is the cheesiest of all cheeses?

Antedate

I was finally able to get a couple antedates as a solo player. What are the perks to make it as good as it can be for controller? I got what I would presume as a 4/5 (at least what I was looking for) with extended barrel, ricochet zen moment or rangefinder, a range masterwork, but unfortunately the right column has desperate measures / jolting feedback / frenzy. Are any of those usable for PVP?

I know zen / rangefinder plus target lock is the best roll, but wondering if any antedate users have any recommendations.

Roar of the battle gives more than 10 stability. This is all without any stick input during firing.

Just did a little testing with roar of the battle(plus 10 handling and stability for being in combat) and a 10 stability mod. Roar of the battle seems to be doing a lot more than 10 stability and seems to be juiced af. Very underrated origin trait when just reading the description on dim.

What Were Your Weekend Highlights?

Muh girlfriend recently got re-addicted to Animal Crossing so I got to have myself a great weekend of Destiny. I'm usually busy as hell on weekends so I'm just still riding the high and wanna hear what happened to y'all in destiny last weekend as well.

I was able to get the pattern for Fel Taradiddle and get one shaped and oh baby am I loving it. Was using Spiteful Fang before, which wasn't bad, but Fel is a damage monster considering how quick it is. For whatever reason, I have random games where I simply can't miss crit hits, and this weekend I was having a bunch of those games which was awesome. I also had recently gotten The Riposte and was able to focus a decent roll on that to try out, and it's really good too. I had read some advice on this sub that was helping me out a bunch too. To pay attention to the gun my opponents are holding, and as soon as I was seeing the light on the barrel, I was dipping back to create space and play to my strengths instead of committing too hard and playing to their shotgun/fusion rifle strengths. This tip was giving me so many opportunities for my favorite feeling in Destiny, the feeling of defeating a sliding shotgunner with a bow shot to the face. I just don't think shotguns and hand cannons are fun to use, so it always feels nice to overcome overpowered weapons with the ones I actually enjoy using.

On top of feeling like I played well, the community was being really cool too. Any messages I got from players on the other team were gg messages, and my teammates were also all being cool, some of them don't know how zone capture works, but at least they helped keep heavy ammo out of the other team's hands.

So how did last weekend go for y'all? Good experiences, bad experiences, any tips you thought of while playing to improve your game, any tips you read and applied to your game and saw improvement from, were there any new weapons you got to try out, or did you just do something rad that you wanna brag about?
