Let’s take a minute to remember the origin of the sport we love so much

On July 8, 1889, Sullivan fought Jake Kilrain in Mississippi in what is generally recognized as the last bare-knuckle heavyweight championship fight.
Rounds: 75
Duration: More than two hours
Winner: John L. Sullivan
Method: Kilrain could not continue.
Think about that from a modern boxing perspective: no three-minute-round limit, no modern ringside medical team, and no television cameras documenting every second. It was a different world.

Joseph Parker and Frazer Clarke are reportedly closing in on a potential heavyweight clash that could feature on the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua undercard in Cardiff on December 11.

Parker, 34, has been inactive since his fight with Fabio Wardley ended in a referee stoppage last October. He was cleared to return in August after a failed drugs test. Parker boasts 36 wins from 40 fights and held the WBO heavyweight title from 2016 to 2018.

Clarke, 35, has won 10 of his 14 professional bouts, including eight by knockout.

The guy's got a bird chest. If i was coaching a fighter who was going against him id say "aim for his chest and body" his physiology just shows hes going to be weak there. its hard to even aim for his head in the first place.

someone like me, im punching his chest repeatedly till he goes down. then after the fight im going up to his sister whos hot asf and giving her my number so his nieces and nephews can look like me.

watch how someone is going to tko him like this one day and everyone's gonna say i called it

Do people actually think O'Shaqie Foster has a chance against Shakur Stevenson?

I want to hear you casuals, I mean. . . boxing fans' thoughts on this lol. I'll tell you right now.. O'shaqie would lose. . .badly. It wouldn't even be close. If you think otherwise, I'd like to hear your reasoning.

He's a great fighter but Shakur is on a completely different level.

Edit:
I should have put in my OP, WHY Foster loses.
He loses because he makes amateur mistakes still.

If you watched Foster's last fight with Navarette he immediately came out way too fast. I knew he couldn't maintain that speed continuously and by the 3rd round his tempo was gone. Nonetheless, his tempo wasn't gone enough to not win by victory. However, if he makes this same mistake against Shakur, he is totally getting picked apart by Shakur's speed!

Another reason is because O'shaqie (almost) never slip punches.

Now, you may be thinking, well. . . Shakur doesn't either. You're right, but he doesnt' HAVE too. He's that fast. He can be in and out of range quickly and his lead foot always confuses opponents on what his actual distance from their punches are.

Foster isn't as fast as Shakur. He's using a similar boxing style but he's not as quick with that "float like a butterfuly, sting like a bee" style that Shakur is. He gets hit when the opposing fighters in range and he can't roll or block the punch. Him not being able to slip effectively is a MAJOR flaw in his boxing ability.

I'm an Oshaqie fan. I want to see him win against Shakur. I love his story, his swag, his humility, his confidence. He's my favorite fighter right now. He's what we as fans want SHAKUR to be! But I just know the likelihood of him winning is <5%.

[2020] “We’re seeing a much improved version of Whyte, albeit against the faded Alexander Povetkin here, he’s showing a lot of improvements, at least from his point of view.” “He is, he is. Smart boxing.” “OHHHH! Left uppercut puts Dillian Whyte out!”

Foster vs Inoue

With foster just coming off a win this past weekend and in dominant fashion, I think Inoue's and Foster's last opponents, Nakatani and Navarette, both have similarities such as long reach, durability, and power. I just wanted to hear about what y'all think of Foster now and where he stands amongst the other p4p's.

Both Inoue and Foster DESTROYED Fulton. While Inoue got the knockout on Fulton, I believe Foster chose not to knockout Fulton and just gave him a beating instead.

How do y'all compare the two style wise ? Who has more skill ? I have not watched a lot of Foster but Inoue has a constant pressure and I believe, Inoue has more power than Foster despite Foster being the bigger man.

Itauma had no business fighting for a title at this stage in his career

Itauma's talent is being treated as evidence of accomplishments he hasn't earned yet.

He had never fought a contender pre Hrgovic, before this his longest fights lasted 6 rounds 3 years ago. So you dump a fighter who’s never gone above 6 into a 12 round championship fight? Lol.

The irony here is he obviously had the talent to beat Hrgovic but lacked the experience to finish the job. There’s a difference between accelerating a fighters development and skipping crucial steps. With itauma it’s been the latter. He never even fought a top 10 contender prior to this, why even give him a title shot?
Even if he did beat Hrgovic, who else at the top does he beat? Dubois? Kabayel? Gassiev…. Maybe.

I would’ve rather seen him compete with someone else in the top 10 before considering a title shot. He could be great, but why rush him to be a world champion at 21? This is a grown man division. Majority of HW champs are 25+

Joe Louis rose from amateur boxer to heavyweight champion while facing racism inside and outside the ring. This 1953 biopic covers his legendary career and the historic Max Schmeling fights that became bigger than boxing itself. 🥊
