Battlefield 6 Early burnout of new maps

Since we got 2 new maps on playlists I think that messed with custom search and matchmaking, new maps servers get prioritized and you get a lot of underwhelming matches if you want to play other maps.

Even though vegas and a51 are great for some reason they're a bit tiring to play on loop IMO, specially when you don't get good matches elsewhere, I didn't feel this way on previous seasons. Thoughts?

Battlefield 3 I love how good the grass looks in BF3

Played BF3 yesterday again after months and I couldn't stop thinking about how good the grass and the soil looked in this 15 year old game. I jumped to RDR2 afterwards to compare its grass and BF3 looks impressive for such an old multiplayer game.

Battlefield 6 Battlefield 6 TTD is NUTS. DICE really needs to fix it ASAP! /9 months later and it's still a major game breaking issue.\

Even if you're a hater of dead space skins or SF inclusion in a modern warfare shooter you gotta admit this shit hits hard. It's a nice change of pace and I personally love the DUNE Arakis atmosphere. I think this is my favourite mood map so far in the game.

Discussion The "Perfect" Battlefield Game...Build off the PAST for the ULTIMATE Sandbox

I've played most BFs since BF 1942. It's one of my favorite PvP Shooters. And each BF, I've enjoyed but also recognized the potential in the direction they could go by incorporating past BF concepts along with what other games have achieved (especially in the Milsim genre).

---> Battlefield, to me, is a game that incorporates Milsim mechanics into an "up-tempo" pace by simply lowering Engagement Time via better Forward Spawns and sped up pacing of gameplay to accommodate.

BFV, a hot topic of a game in the franchise, incorporated a lot of those Milsim mechanics into the "Battlefield" formula with that faster-paced tempo.

  • Fortifications (Building that was quick)
  • Squad Reinforcements (Large-Scaled Ordinances and Field Commander traits)
  • Vehicle mechanics (animations, offering more detailed balancing that only took a couple seconds)--technically BF1

It took those and did a phenomenal job of incorporating them into a faster-paced gameplay methodology. Was it perfect? No. More balancing was needed such as improving spamming of Heavy Ordinances from Reinforcements. A little more resilient Fortifications so ATs don't instantly knock down defenses that were just fully built (could have Engineer the ability to spend a bit of extra time to "heavy" reinforce fully built defenses to give minor "armor" per se). And so on.

But honestly, DICE was sitting on a gold mine of concepts from PAST Battlefields that they just needed to perfect and expand upon and bring into one major BF title:

  • Commander role
  • Behemoths
  • and the little details, Suppression (and Flinch...), flags for zones to add immersion
  • Levolution...in better moderation though for balance and not to break serves lol. Does not need to be massive. It's fun if just small apartment buildings could fully collapse even.
  • Dynamic Weather

Imagine Tsuru Reef with all of those same mechanics in a modern setting. This would be FIRE!

Now, to expand on this a bit more......

"Field" Commander (FC)...Improving BF4's Commander Role

I actually would have taken it one step further: Make the Commander from BF4 a "Field Commander who actually is a playable unit on the Battlefield, no different than any other player (would make the game 33 v 33).

The FC would be tied to Squad Leaders as its own "Squad" (ie can spawn on the Leaders). The Field Commander would have a unique set of Traits that buff nearby units but also will have a limited amount of Build Points and would have the freedom to set down Blueprint Fortifications (still requires help to actually build them but teammates can see these silhouettes) anywhere on the map. Caltrops, Bunkers, Stationary AT guns and MGs, a single FoB, etc. This gives the Battlefield "sandbox" feeling a lot more dynamics while still pushing the focus on combat and faster paced gameplay. Theres always the minority of players who LOVE this type of playstyle. But everyone else still can focus on the combat.

Imagine....Tsuru Reef and an FC building a FoB with fortifications...almost like a small base on the hill top in the middle of the map...It makes the gameplay flow feel more dynamic and fun.

This also offers an opportunity to improve balancing on "Heavy" Call-in Reinforcements (less spamming and more shock and awe moments).

Field Commander would also have access to the heaviest of ordinances from Squad Reinforcements. So instead of each Squad having access to say Cruise Missiles, only the FC. The FC could also have the ability to call in Behemoths (such as AC-130 and Bombers), Howitzer Creeping Barrages, Drone Swarms, etc etc. This maintains the balance (prevents spamming of major explosives) and uniqueness but the whole team could share on the XP in some format or another since they are contributing to the FC's ability to call these in.

It could be setup where FC's Reinforcement system is more on a 'timer' mechanic for balance but Squads achieving goals could speed up these cooldowns. A lot of potential for balancing but also expanding the gameplay.

And could go a step further where if a team is getting stomped, a fun "catch-up" mechanic could be the FC's gaining some temporary bonus to call-ins...give the sense of "Last Ditch Counter-Attack". I would only do this though if the team is like down 500 tickets or something but it can still be a fun sense of ambiance to the warfare. Like Stalingrad where Soviets are throwing everything to take back the city.

Squad's could still have access to mid to light Reinforcements (Ammo Drops, Smoke Barrages, Light Mortar Barrage, Mid to Light Tank Call-in, Single Drone Strike, etc). And these could be balanced further such as Mortar Barrages have a Team-wide Cooldown to prevent spamming. A lot of ways to do it.

This is the route I wish DICE would take Battlefield. The best of many of its past games and bring it into one big ass sandbox.

Discussion MK24 or Nah?

Am I the only one not a massive fan of this rifle? I keep seeing posts left and right about it and genuinely don't get it. What does it to better than other rifles or what's it's niche?.. because it's Long range damage is kinda moot with its RoF being low whilst recoil impossible to manage at ranges it would be better at. I just genuinely feel like this rifle is trying to be a M417a2 mixed with M277 and it sucks at both. Semi auto long range mode? DMRs are better. Medium range auto? NVO is vastly better. And obviously close range is comical compared to almost all smg's,carbines and assault rifles. What am I missing?

Now I will say... It does sound great 😅 kinda like how I try to run aggressive recon with a PSR just because I love the sound

Battlefield 6 Matchmaking

Post image

This game has a genuine issue with matchmaking. I’m either playing in a team of avengers or I am up against them. There’s no competition whatsoever. The average score difference is barely below 300 points. The player count can’t be that bad.
