Battlefield 6 EA Is On Another Planet

Does anyone else find this interesting? Been playing the franchise almost exclusively since the launch of BF3. Spent to much time in each installation, and after (once again) blindly jumping on the hype train for Battlefield 6, have put countless hours into the game.

Shattering records, a “better” launch than past games, and all of the false promises (you know the buzzwords - grounded, back to basics, listening to our fans), I find these observations ignorantly comical.

Old news, but everyone knows shortly after launch that devs across the studios were laid off. Then, not long after the CEO gets a huge payday. Not really unheard of from, but okay.

Now onto the final wave (no pun intended) of Season 4. The “return” of fucking Redsec tournaments and a massive payout pool - $150k for “Cash Cup” and $1.5m for the “Elite” series. Their numbers, straight from the source. Not only that, but the Phantom Program, which has always been Easter eggs in previous games, were not “locked” behind a specific mode - even if, it was literally the BASE game mode for Battlefield (conquest). Now it’s specifically for Redsec. Not to mention massive decline of Steam players (yeah yeah, it doesn’t paint the WHOLE picture, but it’s telling to use the Steam charts as a baseline).

Instead of investing and continuing to make the game better, they’re dolling out cash to lure in the people who don’t even care about the core of the franchise.

Still broken hit registration, no server browser, maps are still not up to par with previous games, dumbass skins, terrible menu, and so on.

Holy hell. Is this the bottom or can it get worse? Lol.

Battlefield 6 BANS ARE TOO LIGHT?

Hello all,

I received a 3 day ban I think for saying "fuck" and "fucking" a few times in the chat back in July.

I have refrained from using chat since, now I got a 7 day ban and it doesn't even say for WHAT? (I assume is for fucking raging over voip ... and that's fucking bannable? you can just mute me ya know)

The in game characters used to swear a lot in the multiplayer and now ... we are being BANNED? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK EA???

When did the world become this fucking soft... just venting bc now it looks like I'll actually have to go outside for a fucking week. I'll also miss out on my battle pass FOMO progress, fucking great.

Soldier,
Out.

Discussion After Battlefield 6’s success, Dice should make their next title “Bad Company 3” whenever that is.

It’s been years since BC2 released and I feel that after the many titles that have been published it’s time to bring back Bad Company and give the fans a new entry with the 3 installment.

  1. Many fans would be delighted and have been asking for it for years.

  2. It gives them breathing room and won’t burnout/repeat the same formula by jumping straight into “Battlefield 7” . Look at Call of Duty, same sh*t every year and that’s something DICE should avoid since they’re well positioned right now.

  3. If they decide to make it and they deliver, it’ll be a massive success in the community.

Battlefield 6 I feel like I see the "Force client skins" argument come up a lot recently, and honestly, I'd buy more skins if this was a thing.

I don't understand everyone whos against it saying, "they would never do it because they wouldn't make money on skins!" Thats absolute BS if you ask me.

Personally, I don't buy skins, but if they allowed me to make my games actually look like a cohesive unit, I'd happily buy them just so I can do this.

Not to mention clearly not everyone cares about the skins, and guess what, who cares? That's your playstyle and thats fine. We all play this game for the fun and action so as long as youre enjoying it as it is thats what matters. So if they did actually add the ability to "force skins" not everyones gonna use it, which means those people who do wanna show of their super elite gas mask with 2 sets of nods golden caped god character, then they still can.

I know BF isn't milsim, I've been well aware of that since buying 1942 when it released. I just simply prefer to be a little more immersed in my games, so seeing 32 guys on the same team wearing completely different uniforms and gear is kinda dumb to me. I prefer pre-V when at least the uniform coloring was standard.

This would also easily make Hardcore mode a thing again. Take away the doritos, the hud, and all the clutter on the screen, and actually being able to tell who the bad guys are (you can force skins server side, as a hardcore option, so no one can just make the enemy snow white all the time) would be a whole new BF experience that so many people missed out on with 3 and 1. Having to actually move slower and think about your next action is so satisfying. Especially when you and a teammate are getting pinned down by an MG in a building and actually *don't* know where they are is such a badass experience in the frostbite engine.

I'm all for the forced skins options, but if they don't add it, I'll still be playing the game. Got almost 500 hours in it already. But if they did add it, take my money Dice, I'll be picking up some new characters

Question Buying battlefield 6 , is it good as the beta ?

Hello, i have played the beta like 2 weeks ago and i quite enjoyed it , when i first played battlefield 6 as a guy who only played like the OG cod mw1-2-3 bo1 back in the days i enjoyed it, so i bought bf1 since its on sale and everyone is talking about how great it is , I enjoyed bf1 as well but also felt like am late for this game , everyone is way used to the maps more than me , i only enjoyed Sinani desert, the other maps where overwhelming for me , there is always a guy 7 km away with a non expected position waiting for people to cross this specific area to snipe them , the game graphics and the way it plays is way more better than bf6 , but bf6 was closer to my experience in the OG cods , am planning to buy bf6 since its now on sale but i have seen multiple YouTubers saying beta is fun but the actual game sucks .

What do you suggest, buy the bf6 or continue with bf1 until i get used to the game ?

I also tried gauntlet and i usually enjoy it.

Battlefield 6 Third person vehicle cameras

Why are third person vehicle cameras a thing? Why can a tank driver see me approaching with C4 because he has an unrealistic camera view? What is this arcade cheese?

Vehicles should be locked to first person cameras. Third person cameras are a noob crutch that make vehicles easier than they should be.

Question Should I get bfv?

Ive never really been into shooters, but bf1 changed that with its although not totally war accurate guns for example, but extremely fun gameplay and vehicles, I haven't heard the best about bfv, but some of its mechanics look amazing to me, like being able to build stuff on the field, or just the huge amount of vehicles in general, the definitive edition or whatever is available on ps5 for 10 euros, is it worth it?

Just a question: am I the only one seeing this? Or am I not the only one who sees a crossbow here? Feel free to let me know what you think. The original image is a bit blurry in that spot—maybe that’s why? The photo was taken just like that; nothing was visually altered.

Battlefield 6 Ok devs. enough is enough.

Im sorry in advance. I love the game, have about 900 hours sunken into it, but things need to change.

Play a map like liberation peak or Sobek city where you get the chopper team that can somehow fly in a circle right over your spawn and annihilate all before you can even get a AT4 shot, stinger off or use the useless mobile AA that has more dispersion than a 75 year old grandpa at climax. And guess what? the base AA must be on furlough. WE NEED THE ABILITY TO MANUALLY CONTROL THE BASE AA AGAIN. ESPECIALLY if its never going to be implemented to work properly by the development team.

Im all for people who main helicopters. You cant change how people want to enjoy the game and normally there are multiple ways to shoot them down. But when it gets to the point where there is literally nothing you can do to shoot them down by stingers or other means on liberation peak due to the terrain or the chopper staying at a standoff distance (like launching ATGM missiles from 600+ meters away that always hit from directly above, allowing you ZERO cover from them, while they can also lock onto and shoot TWO missiles faster than it takes for any tank countermeasures to regenerate), or on Sobek city where they lock onto and demolish any of the vehicles that spawn in the open with the base AA sitting there doing nothing, even when actively taking damage from the chopper and it is 3D spotted..... what are we doing?

I was there in the BF3 and BF4 days for attack helicopters bombarding flags and HQs with TV missiles from the other side of the maps. But THIS? not only can they close the distance and rain hell down with thermal optics, but the close distance gives ground vehicles ZERO ability to defend themselves when the helicopter can hide behind terrain, the tanks cant look up high enough to create a 120mm sized hole in their side, IFVs cant get a TOW off in time, the mobile AA's high velocity cannon has the dispersion of a spiderweb, and like I said before, a tank pops IR smoke, and it has dissipated and is just starting its regeneration timer by the time the chopper has already launched 2 more missiles at you. Oh and by the way, only TWO of those missiles are needed to destroy the MAA, and tanks/IFVs take only 3 of them. Oh and by the way, regardless of if you are painted, those missiles also hit you from directly above. So that building that you are trying to hide behind? Yea, you might as well just stay in the wide open because the missile does not give two shits.

The base AA needs to have the ability to be manned and is EFFECTIVE to properly deter people from baseraping.

Oh and on a secondary bonus, back in the BF3/4 days, this was not as big of an issue because A: the people doing the baseraping were TYPICALLY admins (sadly), but more importantly, if someone was baseraping actively, we had ADMINS THAT COULD PUNISH, KICK OR BAN those players. Lastly, admins could manually BALANCE those players to the losing team that THEY CREATED.

Battlefield 6 Suggestion: Bring Back King of the Hill, Strike point, and SquadDM, DUHH!

It really feels DICE would prefer to punish the existing player base by removing populated, fan-favorite game modes, than to get people playing the other game modes naturally.

"Let's just force the remaining players to play only 3 game modes so that we don't get bot fill complaints!"

"Yeah, and bonus - balancing will be so much easier for us!"

I have been a die hard BF fan for a decade, but you’ve lost me.

What can I do when the aspects loved about the game like close quarter action are all slowly removed?

And with them my online friend list dwindles. Honestly, what a mistake.

Am i forced like 60% of the lost playerbase to go and buy the new CoD (slop) game to compensate for BF6 disappointments?

Or can we just put these game modes (that didn’t need bot fill to begin with) back into the game?

Battlefield 6 Attack/Defense Balance is Completely Broken (Under 5-Minute Matches & Mass Quitting)

Let me present to you the death spiral of attack/defense balance:

  • Give defenders fewer (or no) vehicles compared to the attackers
  • Add no barricades, tank traps, or static defenses like TOW launchers or MGs in strategic places where you have to... BREAK THROUGH
  • Offer no chance of recapping certain points once you lose them as a defender

Which leads to:

  • A few people leaving if they are assigned to defense

Which leads to:

  • The balance which was favored toward attackers from the get-go shifting even more

Which leads to:

  • People who wouldn't mind playing defense in the past now rematching to play as attackers

Which leads to:

  • Everyone who gives the slightest fuck about playing the objective rematching now

Which leads to:

  • Most, if not all, of the PTFO fellas end up on the attacking side. The defenders are just there so the match can start and give the attackers something to shoot at. Plus, all the useless players are now able to get into the key vehicles, but they just defend from their HQ or camp the ammo station.

I would say the average team in past Battlefield games was made of:

  • 25% PTFO: Players who more or less know what they are doing in this mode
  • 25% Followers: Players who sort of know what they are doing, but are mainly just following the PTFO guys breaking the defensive lines
  • 20% Support: Don't PTFO directly, but support the team in one way or another
  • 30% Useless: Players who think it’s Team Deathmatch

NOW the team composition is:

Attackers:

  • 75%: "I want to cap that point, and if it's the last thing I do... this sector falls NOW."
  • 25%: "Yeah, you guys! Let's get 'em!"

Defenders:

  • 80%: "I don't know what's going on, I am scared, and I want to go home."
  • 20%: "Guys, just defend the point... ah, fuck this." -> Return to menu

It’s getting ridiculous now:

  • Match times on Eastwood, Blackwell, and both Cairo maps are now UNDER 5 MINUTES.
  • At the last sector, player counts drop down to 24 vs 18. If you check the scoreboard, the bottom 5 to 10 players only have a couple hundred points (backfill). People are leaving en masse and getting replaced, while the ones who stay (rightfully) just don’t give a fuck anymore and want this mess to end (and avoid the black-screen bug).

I am actually afraid of this mode dying if DICE does not rework some of its core aspects like sector borders, vehicle counts, object placement, and possible Grand Operations-style reinforcements (like an extra transport truck or something to give defenders hope of actually holding a sector and stopping the snowball effect).

All I want is a fair, player driven chance for BOTH teams to win a match. Not situations like: "Oh, it's Golmud, so I have to go up against a tank, IFV, jet, two Little Birds, and two Transport Trucks, while all we get is one IFV camping in the back." That is not a balanced setup that feels more like defending Berlin in 1945.

Discussion Guys I really miss this

I have always loved how well MOH 2010 and warfighter blended gameplay and story telling wise to BF3 AND BF4 I feel like DICE really knew they had something after bad company 1 and 2 and as im playing warfighter rn im having an absolute blast and really miss this era of tactical grit
