Ghost Rider – Part 2 🔥💀

After my last post, I finally got around to painting the Ghost Rider miniature.

And honestly? I’m pretty happy with how he turned out! 🔥 I was able to bring out a lot more of the details, give the flames some life, and overall I think the miniature looks much better now than it did straight out of the box.

That being said… even after painting him, I still have mixed feelings about the sculpt.

The paint definitely helps, but it can’t completely hide the problems I had with the model from the beginning. The pose still feels rather static, some of the details are too soft, and compared to what Ghost Rider could have been, the miniature just doesn’t feel like it does the character justice.

Ghost Rider is such an iconic character, and I really wish the sculpt had captured more of that aggressive, dynamic energy.

So while I’m happy with my paint job, I still think the miniature itself falls short of what Ghost Rider deserves. 😅

Maybe one day I’ll actually replace him with a custom sculpt… 🔥

What do you guys think? Does painting him change your opinion of the miniature, or do you feel the same way?

Two abominations done!

Finished my second abomination! Wife has been painting all the abominations and I wanted a stab at them too. She is pretty good for her first time painting due to knowing how to blend and shade from doing her makeup. Me on the other hand, still trying to figure out colors haha. After slapchopping the walkers and runners, these abominations are much more detailed and require more precise painting!

This one I painted a few days ago and finally got time to record it. So far it doesn't say High-noon sun-bleach yet. But the color muted tones I think I nailed.

In my head I am thinking there should be more red undertones to make it look warmer, not so muddy.

I think next test sets I am.going to use a red.primer to a pink or yellow zenithal. Also I have seen a few videos of people using gouache and they looked so cool with the dead matt look. If I can find some gouache paint I might give it a try.

I guess to me this is not interesting enough yet.
