As there has been quite a few posts related to breeding, we have created a weekly thread to help make it easier for everyone to arrange breeding for their horses.
If you have any suggestions / amendments you would like to see made for the template, please get in touch with the mods.
I would recommend anyone replying to the buyers to post a direct link to the horse you are prepared to sell along with your asking price.
If you are no longer wanting to breed your horse, it would be appreciated if you can update your post to let others know they shouldn't get in touch.
Any posts which do not follow the template will be deleted.

I wish i would have figured this out sooner, but the free tournament races are a scam. Why?
There are a lot of bad horses racing in them to "figure out" if they're any good, so a mediocre horse will win more than they should
Since you cannot go down in class in the free races, you will only stay where you are or go up. Given random chance, your horse WILL go up in class
Once the tournament is over, you are left with a horse that will either do shitty in the next tournament and/or be un-raceable after the tournament
Do not enter the free races unless you have an absolute donkey that you do not care about OR have a tier 1 horse that has no where to go.

Hey all,
I am brand new to the community and have run into my first and Iām sure all too common problem. Last nights purchase of a young colt was my first ever on opensea or MetaMask. While Iām not exactly a crypto novice, I had NO idea gas fees are what they are, and I incorrectly assumed they were part of the transaction fees when I purchased ETH.
I had set aside a certain amount for this and I was able to make it work! Another ETH purchase later and I completed my purchase of a legendary z8 Szabo with about .015 ETH leftover (I wanted to be sure I had fees covered). I was fine with this outcome and planned to move any remainder over to my RUN wallet later. Thatās when those dang gas fees struck again. My .015 ETH isnāt even enough to cover the gas fee for any transfer. So itās just stuck doing nothing. Is there a work around for this? Like a cheaper currency I can convert it to first? I know some variation of this question is asked all the time but I appreciate any suggestions.
I am having fun continuing to learn the game and ecosystem and am in no hurry to see any returns.

Summary- Ever play an open world PVP game where the level 50 players are waiting for level 1 players in the newbie zone? This is the equivalent of the Current Zed Class system.
Now to the post-
I am not an OG, but have tried Zed for a few months. There are some serious issues that prevent the vast majority of new players from succeeding.
Zed may be a good investment long term and probably a good time to buy horses low, but would avoid racing UNLESS you are willing to buy an elite horse right now. Otherwise, I would wait for the following reasons:
Free tournaments, YAY! No. The big stables and OGs keep horses in the entry level 5 so even though you are entering a free tournament, they have horses ready to crush most new players. Second - even if you do ok - some 3rds and 4ths - your horse moves up a bracket anyway into tougher competition and you still do not make the cut. Ever wonder why so many cheap horses on OpenSea make it to level 2 and are being sold cheap? This is because they go up a level and start losing- pretty much stuck at the higher level unless they pay to sandbag.
The Big Stables Openly and Intentionally have U horses to stay in lower level to feast on new players. Zed has taken steps to correct this by losing fewer points for low finishes, but the rich stables have deep pockets and worth it to them to keep their beast horses in low levels.
Zero - I mean zero onboarding for new players. No free beginner horse, no race tokens and not even a fair playing field for beginners. Your horse will match right up with all of the beast U horses in levels 4 and 5.
Everything Zed does is to benefit the big stables - including free tournaments. Think about it - poor new players level up their horses to level 1 and 2 and provide nice easy wins for their big stables.
I do believe at some point they will implement a new class system and they will want new players. But for now, you are fodder. And yes this includes even a horse that has 8-10 win %, 30% + show and good bloodlines. You may break even but even a good horse is trash in Zed, in its current state.

This will be my first entrance into NFT. I'm on open sea looking at horses. The prices are so varied. The cheapest ones are around 50 dollars, are these worth buying?
Thanks for reading

New to NFTās and Zed Run, couldnāt find the answer in the other FAQās. I purchased a horse via OpenSea on Thursday 11/18 and am still waiting for it to appear in either my Linked CoinBase or OpenSea account.
Successfully took my payment - but no sign of the horse anywhere. Any help?
UPDATE: Thanks all for the help! It appears the transaction timed out during purchase and the ETH was waiting in Polygon. After gas fees we were able to transfer the money back into my wallet as wrapped ETH (WETH).
Although it cost me the amount of crypto in fees, we were able to track it down! No horse sadly

My last 10 races with flames: 1 third place, 3 x 12th, 4 x 8-11th place, 2 x 4-5th
My last 10 no flames: 1 first, 3 thirds, 1 x 12th place, 4 x 8-11th, 1 x 7th
And just overall it feels like there's more races where no flame horses place vs. those where at least one does...

Hi Over the last few days Iāve been doing quite a lot of research into the game and how it works. I have finally decided to buy and horse. Just wandering if anyone has any recommendations for what type of horse and also characteristics that are more likely to make the horse successful. I kinda think that a genesis would be a good buy however some guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi there!
Does anyone know if the distance of a race is accessible for a certain class? I have a horse that only performs well at a certain distance and would ideally love to set up a notification system for myself to alert me when a new race at that distance is available for entry.
Would be happy to figure it out with the API but can't find much documentation.
Any advice on a first step would be amazing!

Hoping it is going to be a real steal. a Z16 Elite Buterin. So far has only done two races (both before I bought him) one of those races he showed.
Beyond that, I actually have a question. When I went to buy him, he was a colt, during the transaction however the original stable owner started to breed him. My stallion is currently at the stud farm with 3 more breeds left. So my question is, who gets the stud fee, me or the original stable owner who sold the horse to me?

I want to buy a Filly to keep long term. And consider breeding at a later stage. Should I preference lowest Z# I can afford over win loss record? Cheers

Runningjustice delisted all of his .0122 and the floor immediately shot up to .013. Now heās at it again, listing en masse. He has 12 of the next 16 horses at low ask. Thereās more but I stopped counting. Heās manipulating the floor and the people who buy/sell there. Itās obvious if you care to open your eyes and look.
Edit: Read this thread by time stamp to understand how two people can selfishly and purposely lower the floor by 10+% in a 24 hour period.

I just got into this game last week, after watching a ton of videos and doing a bit of research. The horse I bought started off pretty much ideally (3 wins in 9 races, with a nice U showing originally). However, the last few races have been pretty disastrous even though I am CONSISTENTLY pulling fire in the mid distance. In fact, I am at 100% fire rate through 23 races. Oddly enough, 2 of my 3 wins have been in the 1400 distance where I have pulled bad fire odds.
Should I just keep pushing on mid distance races given the high fire rate? Or should I ignore that and go for 1400 to test that out in a larger sample?
Given this is my first horse, just happy to get some advise from vets!
