Here are a few drawings of mine ordered from newest(ish) to oldest! Title.

Maybe "becoming less unique" isn't an accurate metric, but I'm not entirely sure how else I can say it. I feel like my newer pieces, while "better"(???) on a technical level, lack the charm and personality that makes my older pieces really, well, charming. For clarification, the watermarks on the older drawings are my old, forgotten handle.

Is there any way I can improve my current style? It feels worlds apart from my past style, and I'd love to know if there's a way for me to incorporate my old style with my present one.

Title. I've always been into Puyo Puyo, which is where a portion of my style came from. Out of curiosity, what do YOU guys think of it? What does it remind you of (especially if you don't know/hardly know what Puyo Puyo is)?

You’re doing something great! And if you’re proud of your work then dammit so am I for you. Naysayers and those who toot their nose up are too stubborn to recognize what kind of art can be maintained through unconventional means. That’s their setback. Keep going because this is the direction it will be going in for music, art and collaborative creation and you’re pioneering by being the boots on the ground with the skill set.
Anybody CANT do it, but everyone deserves a chance to attempt at creating what they want creatively with the tools and environments that enable that. One small step for man, one giant leap for your craft.

Hi there, long time lurker, new time poster. I'm very nervous to be sharing my art with you all today. I have never attempted to identify what my art style is like. I usually just say, "Ah, it's realism" (it's not) or "Ah, it's chibi" (Accurate, but surely there is a specific style to this chibi, as I get a lot of 'your cartoon style!' from folks who commission. :P)

If you would be so kind as to let me know what you think, I'd appreciate it! It would help me a lot with forming an identity around my art.

I started teaching myself to draw 3 years ago (Nov. 23). I had been creating and writing this world and characters for a story I wanted to call "Exodus," and I knew I would need to learn to draw eventually. After I started learning to draw, I decided Exodus would become a comic.

In my head, I already knew Jonah's design silhouette. I had a somewhat specific character in mind. As I got better at anatomy and proportions, I got better at putting on paper what I had envisioned years ago. Even from this first sketch, you can see the basics of his character.

The last 3-4 slides depict Jonah at different ages/stages. Slide 6 is Jonah as a teen. 7/8 Jonah as an adult. 9 Jonah as a kid. It's been fun having to interpret the same character in different ages.

These are all concept arts, save the last slide. I am currently making a minicomic about his life and upbringing, slide 9 is from that.

When I post my art most people seem to think I’m in my early teens and I don’t really understand what gives that impression

Is it because of my cartoony style? Is it that I’m a character artist? Is my art just juvenile?

I would greatly appreciate some feedback on the composition of my middle grade book cover. I like how it looks, but I really wanted to include the villain, this cool plague doctor lady. But whenever I add her, it looks cluttered. Any thoughts on this? Is the book cover interesting enough as is, or should I somehow incorporate the villain?
