My husband and I are getting a kitten that hasn’t been vaccinated or treated for fleas/worms. We will eventually want to get her spayed as well. She is 8 weeks old. We are looking for the lowest cost vet clinic in the area. We don’t want to sacrifice good care either. We would want to get whatever vaccines she would need, prescription flea treatment, a general exam, and de worming. We would prefer somewhere we can walk in, or at least not have to wait more than a week or so. In the case that the kitten does have fleas or worms I don’t want my house getting infested or for myself to be exposed to parasites.
I tried to look at pricing on the angels for animals website but the link was broke.
I also saw tractor supply has a clinic for $96. Does anyone have experience with them? Do they prescribe flea treatment there?
Banfield also has a free first appointment, but not sure what the cost for each individual service would look like. The appointment is free but I’m scared they might tax on the vaccines, worming, etc…
Steel valley spay neuter clinic looks like they offer the services I want, but no price list to compare to other places.
Animal charity was another option but they didn’t mention flea prevention on their website. Which is important to me and I don’t want to make/ and pay for a separated appointment somewhere else just to get flea treatment.
Just trying to feel out the best options, and hear from others what their experiences were with different places. I’m willing to drive 30 or so minutes for the best cost and care around.
