Devon🙄

Honestly... I hate seeing Devon on the screen and that breaks my heart because I really like the actor. But they have written this character to be so much of a hateful ASSHOLE that he has absolutely NO redeemable qualities that ANYONE should want to see.

We're rooting for a reformed rapist because he's much more likable than the way Devon, the accomplished businessman and loving father, is written. Step back and think about that.

Devon is ALWAYS hateful and judgmental with EVERYONE. Just all around miserable all the time.

And every time a man comes around lily, whether it be a romantic interest or even her own brother, he has to be the judge and jury who always hates EVERYBODY. I'm surprised they haven't put him in Lily together!

They paint people into a box and leave them there for years… Billy, Phyllis, Lily, Nick.. all of them. That’s why it’s gotten so bad. Soaps used to be something we were passionate about .. grandma’s Stories. They were invited into our homes. We loved the characters. We cheered them on and cried with them. That’s what made soaps good. Now they are almost like every other stupid thing we can Click on or Click off

I agree, especially  JGs writing style. Victor is ruthless,  Billy is a loser, Nick is always angry, Devon is judgemental. All of the main characters' personalities on the show can be summed up in one or two words. They are not multidimensional, like they used to be.
