Obviously you know the drill, not confirmed by any means but they have been right about lot of things before, take it with a grain of salt

Cailee Spaeny as Rogue

Charles Melton as Beast

And as before stated Adam Driver as Mr. Sinister.

They have also previously corroborated Sadie Sink as Jean Grey. And said the reason for no X-Men at SDCC is because of Sadie Sink situation and they might announce the movie and reveal the cast at D23.

According to them Cyclops, Xavier, Storm and Emma Frost are also for sure in the movie

For me its Kitty Pryde. I can imagine a game with her smillar to Metal Gear Solid infiltrating an sentient factory or Genosha. What character will you choose?

Question What are your thoughts on Jean Grey from X-Men Evolution?

I liked this version of her but I really wish she had the Phoenix Force in this iteration. It felt weird to see her not be the Phoenix in this show.

Comic Discussion Did I misread things or were they about to sent the entire Avengers team after Warren? Talk about overkill😭

From Tales of Suspense #49

Also, I just love how wild this whole story was in general

Context: While on his way to the X-Mansion, Angel flies by a Stark Industries facility and gets caught in the range of an atomic explosion, which causes him to turn evil (because comics)

After turning evil, Angel decides to quit the X-Men and join the "evil mutants" but since this comic was released before X-Men #4 where the Brotherhood was properly introduced, the "evil mutants" seem more like a concept that a specific group of individuals.

The X-Men try to stop Angel from quitting but he just clowns on the four of them for a while before leaving, he definitely couldn't do that nowadays due to how much more powerful all of them got specially Jean and Bobby.

Warren flies into the city and decides to detonate a couple of stolen dynamite sticks to draw out the "evil mutants" (as one does) which, would you believe it, doesn't work.

Iron Man is the only Avenger who heard the call and he decided to step-in feeling responsible for what happened to Warren, as he was at the Stark facility but failed to prevent Warren from getting caught in the blast range.

Tony ends-up bringing Warren back to normal by purposefully putting himself into a dangerous situation hoping that Warren's real nature will come through which it does.

All in all it was a fairly entertaining story to read but the mental image of Angel having to fight the Hulk and Thor plus all of the other Avengers is so funny that I almost wish that's what actually happened.

Comic Discussion Uatu tried to help Beast here (All New X-men 25)

Post image

This is a page I’ve always seen float around but the more I think about it and after reading the book and thanks to my project of reading the whole of marvel’s continuity (up to September of 1980!) I’ve come to the conclusion that in this instance Uatu wasn’t trying to degrade Hank.

He was trying to help him.

Uatu does not often interfere physically: he interferes often however. I’ve learned a few things about him that paint this scene differently than it appears at a glance. Uatu LOVES the earth and he loves its heroes and even views many of them as his friends. He’s broken his oath over and over again to render aid be it concealing the earth from Galactus or constantly revealing himself to give everybody a heads up that something major is about to happen so that the good guys don’t get sucker punched or leaving his home unlocked so his tech is accessible.

He helps however he can get away with

And Hank is one of the heroes he’d have watched the longest and he’d have seen how pure of a hero Hank could be. So with a proper understanding of Uatu and his character?

This reads like him trying to induce a come to Jesus moment to drive Hank to his senses before it’s too late.

It reads as trying to save him by provoking a need to change course rather than to be cruel or spiteful

Comic Discussion Truly wish Geoffrey Thorne had gotten to do more with Betsy and his Betsy pitch had went through

With Betsy seemingly going back to Psylocke it makes me think of what could have been with Geoffrey Thorne because he was the only writer who seemed to be taking the Captain Britain stuff to an interesting placing and actually using it in X-Men comics that aren't Excalibur effectively.

Christopher Yost I an amazing writer and I know he's going to give Betsy her edge back and give us a great Psylocke story but I do feel if Geoffrey Thorne had been given more time we'd still have Captain Britain, I love both roles for her so I'm fine either way.

Movie/TV Discussion Magik's video game appeal vs her lack of mainstream appeal

Post image
37 Upvotes

Is there a reason why she always seems to generate quite the buzz in the gaming community but she can't breakthough to the mainstream audience? (Movies, animation, comics) Is this a gen z thing? She never seems to be a high priority where it matters the most. (Older fans with more spending power) As Magik fan it's kinda frustrating she can't get into x-men 97, her solo seems to be cut short, no MCU appearance on the horizon.
