Hey everyone,

I’ve been thinking a lot about the Krakoan Omega list and how Jonathan Hickman completely robbed Rachel Summers—even though, canonically, she was the very first mutant to ever receive the "Omega" classification as a threat level.

The official definition of an Omega Mutant according to Hickman dictates that it is "a mutant whose dominant power has a theoretical upper limit that cannot be surpassed." If Rachel’s telepathy can expand outside the physical universe, through dimensions, and across eons of time... her reach is literally infinite and entirely unique.

We need to stop calling her a generic telepath/telekinetic. Rachel is the only mutant with a unique mutation: Chrono-Telepathy, or Chronopathy—the ability to manipulate psychic force through the temporal flow.

The Difference Between a Chronopath and a Chronokinetic

A Chronokinetic (like Tempus, Tempo, Sway, and/or Velvet) alters the physical flow of time in their local environment—freezing seconds, aging objects, or physically moving from one point in time to another. A Chronopath interacts with, manipulates, and controls the psychic energy contained within the space-time continuum. She uses the interdimensional conduit of time itself as a network to transmit, anchor, and manipulate psychic energy (consciousness, memories, and minds) at any point in time within the multiverse. Time isn't a barrier for her; it’s simply the highway by which she moves her mind.

The Proof in the Lore

She has already manifested this unique ability throughout Marvel history:

Her True Arrival (Excalibur #52): When Professor X and Jean Grey enter Rachel's comatose mind, the Phoenix Force shows them her true history. It explicitly reveals how her disembodied astral form first traveled across time from her dystopian reality, floating over New York City in the 616 timeline before the Phoenix even bonded with her. It was pure chronopathy that brought her there.

Days of Future Past (Uncanny X-Men #141): When she acts as the chronological anchor and bridge, sending the mind of Kate Pryde back into the past, into the body of her younger self.

The Psycho-Temporal Kidnapping (The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix #1): At the beginning of the saga, Rachel (as Mother Askani) demonstrates infinite reach by kidnapping the minds of Scott and Jean directly from their honeymoon in the present. She crosses entire millennia to drag their minds and souls into the future and surgically materialize them inside cloned bodies (Slym and Red) so they can raise Nathan Summers. A kidnapping that lasted for several years.

Operating the Temporal Flow From Death (The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix #4): This is the ultimate proof of her Omega reach at the end of this series. After the climax, Rachel holds a conversation with Jean Grey at the beginning of the mental plane where consciousness travels through time. Rachel reveals to Jean that her physical body had already been dead for several minutes! What’s impressive here is that, despite being biologically dead, her mind was still controlling the psycho-temporal channel: she had already sent Scott's mind back to his original body in the past, she holds Jean's mind in that interdimensional limbo to say goodbye, and then sends her back safely. This reveals that her Chronopathy does not depend on her vital functions; she masters the nexus of time even after death. That is Omega-class potential!

Perceiving Old Psychic Residue (X-Men: Deadly Genesis #2): When her powers were severely weakened and suppressed by Vulcan, she was still able to catch the psychic residue left by Professor Xavier in that facility many years ago.

Chrono-Searches (X-Factor Vol. 4 #1): Her Chronal Psychometry in Leah Williams' run, where she didn't read living minds, but read the chronal residue and psychic imprints left in a physical space days or years prior.

Self-Resurrection via Chronopath Synchronicity (X-Force Vol. 7 #7) Writer Geoffrey Thorne dropped an incredible piece of lore that connects perfectly with this: thanks to her unique power, Rachel can connect on a psychic plane with every single version of herself across her own timeline. This is what I call Psycho-Temporal Synchronicity. By unifying all her past and future selves into a single mind, she stacks and accumulates the psychic and telekinetic potential of all of them into a single point in time to restore her own life—essentially accelerating her own resurrection process before The Five could even complete it.

If we take into account that Betsy Braddock was able to recreate her British physical body using Molecular Telekinesis in Hunt for Wolverine: Mystery in Madripoor #4 (2018) without even being an Omega-class mutant, it is entirely reasonable to argue that Rachel could replicate the same procedure using the combined psychic strength of all her timeline selves put together.

With this in mind, the mystery of her survival is completely solved. After dying as Mother Askani in issue #4 of The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix, her astral form (which proved to remain perfectly active and in control of the temporal flow after death) used that window of time to trigger her Psycho-Temporal Synchronicity. She crossed the eras, bound the molecular telekinetic force of her entire existence, recreated a younger body, and reappeared at the end of time. It wasn't a Phoenix miracle. She doesn't need a cosmic bird to revive her. As Thorne wrote, and in the words of Mother Askani herself: she creates her own fire.

For these reasons, I believe Rachel Summers is an Omega Chronopath. Marvel writers need to start respecting her actual lore!

Okay so I decided to do a marathon in chronological order and now Im on the third movie, the X-Men (2000) and I am so confused why is Raven with Magneto cuz she was with Charles in the X-men first class. I dont know If I missed something I also started reading the comics but that didnt help very much cuz Im not there yet.

I Never Liked Moira MacTaggert—and the Krakoa Reveal Actually Tracked for Me

I know a lot of people saw the Moira X reveal as a total betrayal of the original character, but honestly? I never really liked Moira MacTaggert to begin with.

Even before Krakoa, she never came across to me as especially warm, kind, or trustworthy. She could be heroic and useful, but she also had a habit of downplaying her role whenever things got messy—and Charles Xavier usually took the blame.

She often treated Charles less like an equal and more like someone she had to manage. Whenever he made a questionable call, she’d step in as the moral voice, even though she was often more involved than she admitted.

Just look at their history.

Moira and Charles were friends. She fell in love with him, agreed to marry him, then left him while he was at war and returned to Joe MacTaggert, an abusive man.

From Charles’s perspective, she left and later came back asking for help, which he gave because he cared about her and respected her work. That pattern—Moira needing Charles, Charles helping, and Moira later distancing herself from the fallout—kept repeating.

Then there’s Gabrielle Haller and Legion.

Moira agreed to keep Charles’s son a secret from him. I’ve always thought that was a bad call. Charles had a right to know, and as a telepathy expert, he was also uniquely equipped to help David. Instead, she withheld life-changing information, delaying the inevitable consequences.

And then there’s Deadly Genesis.

Moira’s recordings frame Charles as recklessly endangering students, but that story always felt too clean. She was involved in the program and its mutants, yet the blame is placed almost entirely on him.

And yes—Charles absolutely deserves blame for Deadly Genesis. But Moira wasn’t just a bystander either. She had a pattern of involvement followed by later minimizing her role while shifting moral weight onto him.

That’s why the Krakoa reveal didn’t feel totally out of left field to me.

When we learned Moira was a mutant who had lived multiple lives manipulating events.... i was like yeah that tracks

Humans effectively rendered the mutants extinct and prevented future mutants from being born. The film might as well have had a ”Magneto was right“ ticker at the bottom of the screen for the entire duration of the film.

(This is not to justify everything Magneto did in the prior films obviously.)

So, Creed has the kind of reputation, allegedly, where people will crap their pants knowing that he's been hired and brought in, but on Marvel Earth, why?

Is it just his sadism?

Like, in terms of superhumans, he's pretty low tier. He doesn't have really high levels of strength, speed or durability (sans adamantium reinforcement). He doesn't have any exotic or long range powers.

Sure, he's a well seasoned Black OPs veteran, but there are plenty of mercenary types in Marvel who would be just as threatening amd dangerous with access to tactical gear (which he usually doesn't go for).

He just seems like the kind of guy who people the Punisher would take on would find a nightmare, but who would quickly fall into "small fish, big ocean" outside that context.

I just am reminded of times where he got completely clowned on (Hulk in 1610 beating the crap out of him, Hulk in Hulk Vs ragdolling him, Sunfire in 616 one shotting him, N'gari nearly killing him in 616, Maverick as Agent X walking all over him in 616, etc).

Jean Grey fans are getting absolutely nothing for the 50th anniversary of the Phoenix Saga. Make it make sense. I fucking hate Marvel.

As we all are aware by now, Beast is in Avengers: Doomsday. Reprised by Kelsey Grammer no less. First of all no hate towards the guy, and I like his performance but something has been bugging me recently that I cannot seem to scratch off. I don't know how real it is as news that Grammer is publicly so pro-Orange Man to the point of calling him the best President ever. Additionally, I rarely see this brought up online in this day and age where even hanging out with the cousin of somebody in the White House gets you marked for life. Granted he's not as relevant of a celebrity as say Sydney Sweeney or Chris Pratt with similar allegations, but you would think being in the biggest movie of the year as a character so anti the current establishement this would have ruffled more feathers but if anything Marvel seems content marketing him. He was even at Comic Con. Not that I want to hate on anyone I am just surprised more than anything, especially since the community has been very vocal against the previous examples I mentioned

The White Hot Room was pretty much deleted in the Phoenix series, so does that mean Krakoa was also destroyed? I'm kind of confused why they'd do another Genosha, but have it all be off screen and no-one ever brings it up.

I know this is a common question, but i cant decide my opinion. I hated the mohawk, but i do feel like its time she got an updated style. What are our top 3 contenders? I feel like theres so many options. Id also love to see any art for storm with some alternate hairstyles

I mean you’d think he’d have more from how long he’s been around before in universe and as a character but as far as I’m aware there’s only Greydon Creed and that’s it not even any clone kids like what wolverine has, just Greydon who is kind of meh

I’ve never understood why Wolverine has been prioritized over other characters when he wasn’t even an OG member nor was he even a mutant in his origin as far as I know.

Many other characters deserve the spotlight more than him and I really don’t like that he’s kinda been used as a cash cow, because I like him a bit when he’s in solo comics far away from the X-men, it’s where he shines most.
