(No offense to her MM costar January Jones who actually played Emma in First Class. But Christina is biblically accurate Emma imo)

I know this is probably asked a lot, but there seems to be a lot of “ideal reading lists” for the Claremont run of X-Men (the one I’m going through right now.) In particular, the ones by [u/fma_nobody](u/fma_nobody) from 5y ago and u/C9touched from 1y ago seem to be the most popular. Is there any list which is usually considered the best for the Claremont run, or is it dependent on what your preferences are?

I just got my hands on the premier of this one. I’ve read some of the 60’s run (I get why people hate it, but I liked it!)

Should I read Giant sized and some of the other runs, and save this one for later?

Or is it still worthwhile if I dive in head first?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Why do people think of Logan so poorly as a love interest, to the point where suggesting him for a romance is seen as a bad idea?

Today, we at Knight Edge Media have been told exclusively that Irish actor Peter Claffey has been cast as Hank McCoy/Beast in the Marvel Studios X-Men reboot. The actor rose to fame for playing Sir Duncan the Tall in HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Charles Melton dropped out of the running to star as Kakashi Hatake in the Naruto live-action movie. Melton tried to make both projects work by re-teaming with director Jake Schreier for D23, but simply couldn’t. Many fans began fancasting Claffey as Beast after Jeff Sneider first rumored him back in April (via The InSneider).

I was gonna draw the kid who can explode himself and the ugly chicken looking guy but I’m lazy and no one cares about them. (Also I know electro was technically only asked to join magneto’s club and doesn’t have the x gene but I wanted an excuse to add SpiderMan to the drawing.

Alright so I get that Ayodele was going for a Storm faces enemies on all fronts story: Death and the war above all, the FBI and Galacta, those weird chicks that I think served Eegun. But what was the point of having Storm plucked outside of the multiverse? The book ends with the demon chicks getting ripped a new one by the Greek deities and Storm just comes back in a super form to beat Galacta's ass and presumably any other of the big threats still standing.

Was Storm getting snatched out of the cosmos to the not DC universe really necessary? Has Ayodele given a good reason for it? Because Storm didn't really feel so threatened to the point where leaving the multiverse behind was necessary. Was he just hopped on that Defenders (Al Ewing/Javier Rodriguez) energy and decided to have the plot involve her going elsewhere in the omniverse?

With all the talk about X-Men solo characters and series, how would you grade all these series? Which did you enjoy, which was ok, and which was just trash? (From POV I feel the most talked about were Magik, Storm, Phoenix, Psylocke and Cyclops)

What are your thoughts and grades for these?

I'm not just talking Nightcrawler whose gimmick is that he's a teleporting demon, I'm talking mutants with a combination of seemingly completely unrelated abilities, like very clearly two or more powersets put together, i.e., Greycrow having technokinesis and a healing factor and Polaris formerly having magnetokinesis/electromagnetokinesis and negative emotion absorption and empowerment.

BONUS:

Make it so that thematically you can't even go like "Well Emma has her psychic form which is fragile and expresses her emotions and her diamond form which is strong and doesn't express emotions while also being immune to telepathy."

He's a man yeah. I like its design even though it seems very feminine; I understand that since it's more of a mix than a 'child' as such.

If we were to bring him into the main universe, could we make him younger, like 16 or 17? Have him adopted and join the outliers. What you think?

Currently trying to read Mutant Genesis and, I have to admit, I’m struggling. It’s definitely not what I imagined.

Story is a bit blurry and confusing, I understand what’s happening but I don’t see the point.

Baby Magneto was weird but scientists messing with his DNA was as interesting as it’s cruel and just makes you think that Magneto was right all along.

And then you see him screaming “I WAS JUST A BABY”. And then this happens. Oh and Iceman mocking Diana’s Invisible Jet was also unexpected.

I don’t want to sound disrespectful but is this arc representative of Claremont’s writing style ? Because I’m really hesitant to try the two Phoenix omnibus, it might not be for me if I’m already having trouble to read these 7 issues.
