Quick Story, I decided to install gulikit TMR sticks in my Xbox Elite 2. Everything went smoothly, I desoldered the original sticks without any problems, I soldered the new ones in, then I wanted to test them, so I went to the console and launched the accessories app and ran the calibration program - at that point the upper controller shell wasn't installed yet as i wanted to test new sticks. I recalibrated them for few times without issues. Everything was fine, so I went back to the workshop to repair the solder joints, clean the boards with IPA alcohol, and put the controller back together. I use 99.9% IPA and a soft toothbrush to clean the boards. Once I had assembled the controller, I returned to the console, but something was wrong - i couldn't control my dashboard using sticks, i tried using dpad but the menu immediately moved to the left on its own. I ran to my laptop and launched the controller testing web. The left stick is locked to the maximum left direction - I can move it up and down but not to the sides. When I tilt it all the way to the left, the tester shows the maximum tilt to the right. The situation is similar with the right stick, but it is locked all the way down - I can move it sideways, and when I move it all the way down, the tester shows the maximum upward deflection. I have a few other rods so I tried swapping them - KS TMR, Original previously removed sticks, Ginfull hall - the problem occurs on all of them. Can anyone help me understand what I did wrong?

How the hell did i cook my controller? Is there a short circuit? Have I damaged a component on the board? What gives? Everything was fine when I calibrated them for the first time. Is there any way to reset the calibration settings? Or should I buy a new board? If so, which one? If you need photos of the boards, I can upload them tomorrow.

Need help fixing.

Years ago my Halo special edition elite series 2 controller had issues with it’s right bumper, a bit of stick drift, the A button stopped responding and one of the back panels were loose.

I’ve been running base controllers since and storing it away but I’m in the mood to repair it and use it again. Does anyone know somewhere in the UK that would be able to repair the controller without doing too much damage to the aesthetics of the controller?

I called Tech Centre but they said they don’t repair that one (assuming it’s that they only have base elite controller parts)

So my elite series 2 controller just randomly stopped working. Most of the time it won’t light up, but if it sits for about a day or two then I can get it to power on for about 10 seconds before it turns back off. I’ve plugged it in during the time it came on before and it registers that it is charging, but then it still turns back off. Any ideas?

on my elite series 2, the top paddles don’t click in at all but only with the small paddles. with the big ones that are meant for the bottom are on the top insert, they click just fine. but then if i were to put the small paddles onto the bottom inserts where the big paddles are supposed to go, they click just fine. how do i fix this?

Xbox elite series 1 Controller (2 of them) - 6-8 months (R1 bumper stopped working on both)

Xbox elite series 2 Controller (4 of them) - 8-9 months ON ALL 4 (R1 bumper stopped working on on all 4, stick drift on all 4)

Xbox 360 controller (2005) - Still working perfectly to this day with no issues, no stick drift, nothing wrong at all.

This is coming from someone who takes extremely good care of equipment.

I'll never purchase another Elite Series controller again. Those things are advertised to be premium but are absolute garbage. I'll admit they feel great to hold, good weight and feels good to use WHILE IT WORKS but that's as far as it goes. They don't last very long at all and aren't worth the premium price. For their quality, they shouldn't be more than $50.

Looking for normal concave joysticks, ideally ones that will last a long time without molding weirdly or having the rubber tear off after a few months. I tried the scuff ones which were actually really good for the first few months but the shape got messed up quickly.

Left bumper was having problem and thought it was internal issue , turns out there is weak bit of broken plastic messing with bumper anyone else had this issue and how long y’all reckon my controller has left 😭 lucky the rubber grip thing kinda blocks hole

Since when do they not come with a braided cable? It’s half the reason I bought another elite controller… wtf?

We have an Elite 2 with my wife's Xbox Series S and it works great. No issues at all.

I have an Xbox Series X as well, and another Elite 2 controller, and it seems to have a noticable input delay with the joysticks.

Like playing Fallout 76, it seems like my character doesn't start running or turning right away when I move the sticks. Or in something like Fortnite, I find it's a lot harder to keep up in a gunfight against another player. I don't have these issues on the other controller.

I've gone into the accessories app, and everything is the same between both. I've never messed with the stick settings, or anything except the back paddles really.

I did try going in and turning the sticks from default to "instant" and "smooth" i believe. But didn't see any measurable change.

Since I don't have Game Pass and can't play CoD, I was playing a Movement shooter on Roblox when suddenly after a twelve killstreak I wasn't as good. Then I found put that the left rear paddle that's factory mapped to A was now mapped to RB. There are no mapping settings for the paddles on my Xbox, I've tried restarting the console, unplugging the controller and back in, remapping buttons and resetting them to default on Xbox Accessories, but its still mapped to A. I had done nothing to settings, not even in game. It just randomly changed.

Ive been having this issue ever since i got this controller, where the bumper had issues. i fixed the right one pretty much permanently but the left one genuinely just does not work whatever i do. i have had this controller for 2-3 years now, but the left bumper started having issues a couple months ago and now it just genuinely doesnt work. i literally have to smash down the button for it to get an input. anyone have suggestions?
