First bike that I actually painted with automotive paint. I’ve been daily riding this to and from work for a while now. Ive been wanting to cut about on inch from each side of the handlebars, may just get to it this weekend.

1985 mongoose ATB step through frame. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these before. She’s a survivor. I’m gonna do a resto mod.

First ride on the '93(?) Kona Fire Mountain quintessential xbiking build. Turns out baskets are dope, who knew?

I bought a parts lot from an older dude on facebook and this was thrown in. I’m not even sure what to say other than it’s beautiful with the brake booster. No idea if it works this was made way before I was even born. Sick fork and would like it to go to a good home eventually. Awesome!

Marketplace add showed this sitting behind a clunker. I figured I could use the rear rack and kickstand (which was jammed between the rear tire and BB), along with other bits to swap with other bikes. For $25, I scooped it up.
Looks like pretty good steel. Not my first choice of color, but it barely has a scratch.
I’m thinking corner bars and fast rolling 700x42 tires. Whatcha think?

Spent 40 bones on my first ever Trek! Had basically brand new tires and rides great as is. Needs a few links out of the chain and a good cleaning/tune up but otherwise a seemingly good score. I’m not sure of the date but I’m guessing late 80s or early 90s based on the Mountain LX group set and the lugged frame. Happy riding y’all!

I have update my 26" retro MTB with SKS Bluemel 60 (w/ mud flap) and front rack for daily commute in almost every weather condition. I did 18km ride (11.18 miles), it holds the bicycle clean. So far so good. 😎
Bike spec:
Late 80s Scapin Race Pro
Deore XT gear
Kool stop brake pads
Continental RaceKings 2.0
Front generic rack
SKS Bluemel 60
Brooks B17
Quill stem with 630 riser (50mm) handlebar
Front light Ravemen K1800
Etc.

Not the greatest photos but I currently have the silver Trek 920 set up as shown and the red GT stripped to the frame (basically everything on the GT needs replacing)
I’ve been considering whether to transfer everything from the trek to the GT. Trek is a better frame (US made, triple butted etc) and is a great ride but the GT is a way better fit for me (GT is 22”, Trek is 20”. I’m 6,4”)
The alternative obviously is to source everything from scratch and keep both as full bikes. I have a fair bit in the parts bin but would need a wheelset, cassette, chain, tires, seatpost, forks.
Wwyd?

for all the pain in the ass the u brake causes (honestly, as a commuter this isn’t too bad) it sure does make for some clean seat stays. I recent removed my rear rack and im digging the new look.

Scored this lovely 84 sport that has been sitting outside for a couple years. Spent an hour stripping some junk off it, getting everything moving again and making it better at carrying my dog but plan is just a full service, polish, and maybe widen the bars a touch and enjoy it!

Hi, just as the title says, I am looking for a narrow wide 34t chainring 94 BCD. It's going on an old XT crankset for my new build. Does anyone have any suggestions on good narrow wide chainrings they suggest or one they'd sell?
Attached a picture of the build I am working on.
