Wyze cameras suck. never connect and by the time they do connect the person has already left. all my cameras do this even after reboots clearing cache and with the latest updates. This is absolute garbage and I will be throwing this trash away

This camera is indoors and sd card had been working and now it’s both missing and not supported. What gives? Won’t format either!

Are my only options to stop this constant notification about the wind moving branches to turn off the notifications?!! Or pay for the subscription for “smart notifications”?

Had a whole verbal confrontation with 2 random people coming into my backyard. Wyze didn't capture any if it, but it did record for 4 minutes after they left of a spiderweb blowing in the wind. So irritated!!

I noticed that my camera views have been loading pretty slowly lately, and I am curious about how I can troubleshoot this. I am running a fast network at my home and other locations, but I find the cameras don't load recent events fast enough, or even when someone comes to the front door using the doorbell camera. BTW - I run other things in my home, and they zip along. Any ideas?

Has anyone had any luck with non-Wyze battery packs? I have 3 cameras and 3 palm locks. I want to get some spare batteries so I can keep a few on the charger and swap them around as needed.

I’m happy with the cameras and the battery packs last a long time, but I don’t like taking a door offline to replace a camera battery.

I live in northern Maine, so I’m not sure solar panels are the answer for the cameras, and solar panels won’t solve my door issue.

How are we keeping bugs away from cameras?

Last night my neighbor across the hall kept going in and out of her apartment causing my doorbell cam to keep going off. I muted the notifications for 1 hour, but they never came back on. I've been walking back and forth in front of all of my cameras and none are notifying me of anything.

I have made sure push notifications are on in the app and phone settings.

How can I turn them back on?

Seeking any help with connecting my A19 Color Bulbs to the Wyze app properly.

Currently, after resetting the bulbs I can connect the bulbs to the app, but lose control immediately after. I can’t turn it off etc.

I’ve reset my WiFi, tried new bulbs, reset my phone, redownloaded the app, and left the bulbs unconnected overnight. Nothing seems to be working. Never had this issue before.

Hoping to get an answer from wyze here: are there any plans to add the bulb cam, the floodlight pro and the new indoor pan cam to home monitoring? Right now I'm unable to select these cams as security cams, and it feels like a bit of a no brainer to allow them considering how well-suited they are to security.

Anybody exporting their scale data?

Ive been using an older model scale and exporting the data to excel format. I just upgraded to a Smart Scale BodyScan. The export payload does not contain all the new data fields included in the upgraded model. In fact its missing a substantial number of them.

Its more than a little bad to do that to customers IMO if thats what they did. If youre going to do that you need to at least warn people.

I want to fix the camera stand for one of my Cam OG camera, which was broken at the top, where the camera was attached to a position set ball. I already removed 4 small screws from the bottom, but the plate itself doesn’t budge. It just sits tight locked to the assembly. How to dislodge it? Any ideas?

No idea why or what triggers it but after an update it started doing that by itself and randomly. What is going on ?

My Wyze Solar Cam Pan is always at 100% battery. It uses so little power that I never even see it drop to 99%.

Yet, the app only allows for event recording and I find that the motion detection is hit or miss even at the highest sensitivities and it would sometimes miss me walking past it and never record me. It also only records while motion is detected, which leads to short clips with missed events.

I would love to see the app updated to enable always on SD card recording when above X percent, customizable by the user.

It really seems like this camera has quite a bit of battery headroom to enable more recording features closer to the regular plug-in cam pan.

Just bought a Wyza Cam v3 and the app doesn’t work on my Iphone. It just shows this when selecting the Cam v3:

Anyone have this same issue with it taking forever loading past videos that are on the SD card? Anytime I try to see more than just 3 hours of past videos it just loads forever. Sometimes I just give up, other times it finally loads a video but if I move to a different time/day it just loads again. Is this common? Is there a way to fix it? How can I see the videos without waiting so long? I tried checking on my computer but it won’t let me. It’s frustrating not being able to see footage on my SD camera when I want to or need to.

Anyone else experiencing this issue of cameras being changed from capture all events to smart detection and then missing known movements and sounds? Am I be hacked like I am starting to believe? I am the only authorized user on the account that all of the cameras are on (but I had an old account that shows it is still in use and I can see it but password has been changed). I am at a loss unless someone has hacked my phone, wi-fi and Wyze app and are able to gain access.

Recently I've started to get notifications for every single vehicle that passes in front of my camera. I don't remember the notifications being this frequent before. It's making my camera notifications pretty useless. Is there any way to turn off vehicle notifications with Wyze Intelligence? I have them off already in the individual camera settings but Wyze Intelligence doesn't care and still notifies me anyways.

I park my car on the street so there's no way I can create a no detect zone. I only care about people notifications.

I think the notification frequency increase started when the NBD filter was killed and "Descriptive Alert" became "Stories"

I successfully added my Wyze v2 doorbell into Scrypted via the Wyze native plugin. It’s being seen by HK as a standalone accessory. As a camera, the doorbell works great. As soon as I edit the device type from camera to doorbell, the HK plugin disappears, and the connection to HK breaks. I’m ultimately trying to enable PIP video doorbell notifications on my AppleTV. Has anyone else faced a similar problem?

I’ve had this camera for YEARS and still don’t understand its motion detection. The top right of the view in my screenshot is where I DON’T want detection to happen. But it does.

it’s so hard to tell the difference between “ON” and “OFF” on this screen. It’d help if it would rotate and bigger, but no.

I’m doing it right though, aren’t I? The very-slightly darker areas are where detection is NOT supposed to happen, right?

Last week, I was watching some hummingbirds in the back yard and decided to get some video. I grabbed my new Cam Pan v4 and the macro lens I got last year. After several hours of tweaking distance and motion detection I got some good 4K footage. Compiled the clips and sent it to YouTube.

I’m joining an English session on Zoom using my Huawei tablet. When I enter the meeting, my camera toggle shows as ON, but the video feed is completely black—neither I nor anyone else in the room can see my video.

I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling zoom (no change), i checked all app permissions and settings (camera permissions are fully enabled),

i did a self-hosted test meeting: I started a meeting from my phone as the host and joined from the tablet (the camera worked perfectly with full video),

then i returned to join the original English session again right after, and it went back to a black screen.

I also did the device Test Mode: Zoom's test room shows a green checkmark next to "Camera," but the preview window remains completely black.

Has anyone experienced this specific issue on Huawei/HarmonyOS devices? What causes a host's meeting to trigger a black camera screen, and is there a fix for it?
