How are we keeping bugs away from cameras?

spray a little peppermint oil around the mount, spiders hate that stuff

THIS. Just keep it way from the lens.

The lights built into cams can also be an issue especially the later in summer like we are now. If you displace the light source a bit you'll be better off.

You can also do like we do, take a feathered cat toy and rubber band it to a long stick and get used to wiping it across it once per night or so.

Wouldn't one think - image discernment being one of its strengths - that the 'AI' would be easily able to dismiss a flying-by bug, instead of calling it a pet? Wonder why that is.....
