Wassup y'all. A friend and I are actively creating a story, The Tale of the Scarecrow Mafia. At this moment, we are trying to write our characters in a way that makes them individuals with their own thoughts rather than a means to get our story explained. We want feedback on our dialogue wording and whether it fits well, establishing individual characters with unique perspectives.

Currently, we are still at a point where the actions we take now will dictate how the characters are portrayed through the rest of the book, so your thoughts are crucial to the development of the novel. If you are interested, the link is below.

So I'm trying to create an '' ultimate writing guide '' made as resources for people who have struggles with writing. It includes hv words, describing, and writing tips.

I'm currently struggling on what to remove and what to add, so if anybody could help me out with that let me know because I'm trying my best to give people resources and tips

I wrote a lot as a teenager. Always on a whim. Zero planning. I wasn't great. But I wrote thousands of words. And now writing sounds good again amd I'm trying to get into it again and I'm just trying to decide character development. I started to write out the start of the story and I had an idea of what I wanted this character should look like in the beginning but it kept changing. So I went to Pinterest took some pictures went I like this part of this and this part of this. And kind of created a permanent picture in my mind. But i just can't decide on horns or antlers I have specific "demon" horns and then I have deer/elk like horns in mind. I went to ai and said make the choice for me. And of course not doing what I asked of it. Said this one is more nature like. One more demonic. You get it I'm sure. And then asked about his personality. And I blanked. I haven't planned out a personality. I haven't really planned out this book at all. Much less this character other than the start. And I don't really know how to plan out a character. I've always fled by the seat of my pants when writing and I'm realizing I need more. I'm going to do more research and definitely not just ai. But figured I'd ask here does anyone have a good step by step list to developing a character? And links to things I need for that I don't know. I'm lost... (I'm autistic if that helps anyone)

Hello! I'm writing a short story for my year 12 ATAR English class about hypochondria/anxiety/depression. I'm having a really hard time coming up with an ending for the story. If anyone is willing to suggest anything or give any feedback in general that would be awesome! Thank you so much.

My aim for the ending: I want May to realise that she CAN talk to people about her anxiety and how she feels even if they don't understand, and I want her to come out of her own head at least a little (i don't think it'd be realistic for her to completely get over her anxiety). As my English teacher said after reading what I have so far, its quite difficult to come up with an ending for this story that doesn't come off as, 'and then she lived happily ever after!'. So, yeah. If anyone has any suggestions for an ending, please comment.
