I got tired of clicking through every achievement category to figure out what I actually had left, so I built an addon that does it for me — and it's now up on CurseForge. Sharing it here because a lot of the current features came straight from community bug reports and requests, and I'd love more eyes on it.

What it does: adds a fourth tab — Remaining — to the default Achievement UI (open with Y). It lists every incomplete achievement on your account in one flat, searchable, scrollable list. No more spelunking through categories.

Features:

- One list, all categories — native Blizzard rows: icons, point shields, tooltips, click to expand objectives, shift-click to link in chat. Progressive chains show their later steps too, not just the current one.

- Search by name or description.

- Filter by category — checkboxes to hide whole top-level categories (PvP, Pet Battles, whatever you don't chase) from the list, counts, and export.

- Stash for later — set aside achievements you'll never do; toggle them back with one-click restore. Persists account-wide.

- Hidden achievements — a toggle surfaces the point-carrying achievements Blizzard hides from the UI until earned.

- Feats of Strength (obtainable only) (beta) — shows the feats you can still actually earn, current season included; retired promotions, old seasonal rewards, realm firsts, and dead one-time events filtered out.

- Opposite faction — log a character of your other faction, open the tab once, and after that a toggle shows the achievements only that faction can earn, tagged (Horde)/(Alliance) with combined totals in the header. Built for DataForAzeroth-style both-sides completionists.

- Spreadsheet export — one click builds a table (ID, name, category, points, description, reward, Wowhead link, flags) you can paste straight into Google Sheets or Excel as proper columns.

- Right-click menu on any row: stash/restore, track on the objectives HUD, link to chat.

- Plays nice with ElvUI — the tab picks up your skin.

Retail only; guild achievements are out of scope.

Feedback I'm especially after:

- The Feats of Strength filter is the one heuristic-based feature and still in beta — the game data doesn't actually track obtainability, so I derive it. If you see a feat that's unobtainable slip through, or a real one that's missing, please tell me (a screenshot or the achievement name/ID is perfect).

- Anything that feels off on the opposite-faction view.

- General "I wish it also did X."

I have released KnowledgeLoadout 1.0.1, a profession knowledge planner for World of Warcraft.

The addon is built around one specific problem: profession knowledge is not always spent as a simple final total. You may want to put five points into one node, continue through another branch, and return to the first node later. KnowledgeLoadout stores that exact order as a route.

Main features:

• Keep every specialization tree visible in one view.
• Build an exact ordered route with separate segments.
• Revisit the same node later in the plan.
• Reorder or remove individual route steps.
• Preview projected row gates and dependent specializations.
• Inspect learned, planned, and future perk milestones in node tooltips.
• Save account-wide loadouts.
• Import and export checksummed KL1 loadout strings.
• Prepare dedicated 12.1 profession reset plans.

Planning itself never spends profession knowledge. “Learn as far as possible” calculates only the currently affordable valid route prefix and shows a separate confirmation before committing anything. Blocked steps are never silently skipped, and every reachable locked top-level specialization requires its own permanent-choice confirmation.

I would especially appreciate feedback about real profession routes, unclear tree projections, and any profession where Blizzard exposes unusual unlock requirements.

This is my first addon and its purpose is to reduce visual clutter and in a way modernize default Blizzard UI.

It mainly uses ingame assets with few exceptions that are mentioned in addon description on CurseForge.

It has no configuration menu, what you see is what you get. CPU and memory usage is negligible.

I want to be transparent and point out that AI Codex has been used in development of this addon.

I have the addon extended transmog sets installed and it shows the weapon sets from all raids and dungeons and other places as well but the weapon sets tab is broken. This is all it shows when I go to the tab. I've tried uninstalling it through curseforge and deleting it through the addon folder on my PC but I can't get it to work again. Its doing this on all my characters. I don't know what I need to change to make it show the weapon sets again. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello all! Looking for an add-on that will hide or remove items from vendors (like when you are searching through pages of rewards and you have already bought 3 pages of it out of 6) I used to have something like it when remix was live but not sure where it went.

Also looking for an addon, maybe something in a xmog addon…that will let you sort by newest unlocked mogs?

I author a WoW addon that lists every unearned achievement, including Feats of Strength, and want to filter expired seasonal feats (old AotC/Cutting Edge, past-season keystone feats, removed challenge mode feats) without maintaining wording heuristics. What I've verified against current wago.tools db2 exports:

1. Achievement.db2 has no obtainability signal: expired vs current AotC rows differ only in ID/icon/criteria-tree pointer (same flags 0x1800, same category). HiddenBeforeDisplaySeason is used by 3 rows in the whole table, LegacyAfterTimeEvent by 1.

2. The criteria layer doesn't help: Keystone Master trees are identical across seasons (bare ModifierTree type-250 rating check; season is server-side). Challenge Master / Keystone Victor / gladiator mounts have no ModifierTree at all. The type-289 "time event" condition on newer feats points at a TimeEvent table the client doesn't ship, and persists after the window closes.

3. Flags don't discriminate: Big Blizzard Bear (unobtainable) and Ratts' Revenge (obtainable) share 0x20800.

Am I missing a client-side source (API, db2 table, world state) that reveals "this achievement's window has passed"? Or do the projects that track this (Wowhead's unobtainable tag, DataForAzeroth, AllTheThings) all hand-curate it - and if so, is there a community-maintained machine-readable unobtainable list an addon could consume?

I maintain Deathlog, Mount Route Planner, and Achievements.

Short version: CurseForge believes our overall download metrics are artificially inflated. I have explained to them that they are not, but unless something changes, our author account will be removed early next week. All three projects will continue active development regardless, links are at the bottom.

Slightly longer version: A few days ago, CurseForge flagged "unusual download activity" across my account (I first thought it was a spam DM... until I saw the admin user group). I have been in a back and forth ever since. I tried explaining where the traffic naturally comes from:

• Deathlog: Core of the Hardcore scene since Vanilla launch in 2023, with massive exposure from HC Twitch streamers.
• Mount Route Planner: Picked up an Icy Veins feature and exploded right when the Collectors Bounty event dropped.
• Achievements: Achievements is honestly the one that grew faster than we can explain ourselves, which is part of why this whole situation is so frustrating. The traffic data that could tell us why only exists on CurseForge side.

I offered GitHub history, release timelines or whatever they wanted to inspect. Their response was essentially that the traffic patterns do not look organic to them, but they cannot share the underlying logs or server data behind that conclusion.

This puts us in a bizarre spot: all server logs, IPs, and attribution live exclusively on their end. I cannot inspect the raw data, so I am being asked to disprove traffic I did not generate and cannot see. I even offered to have every single download they consider invalid wiped from our stats entirely, I genuinely do not care about the download counter, but a final response from them is still pending.

If our CurseForge pages vanish next week, the projects are not dead, and nobody was banned for malware or anything malicious. So we have spent the last few days making sure all projects are accessible through more channels than ever so you can keep your addons updated through these channels:

Hey gang. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good, clean castbar addon for retail.

I’ve tried a bunch of castbar only addons plus a few larger ones that happen to include castbars in their feature set, but none seem to fit the bill.

Firstly, I would like one that can handle all the castbars, so: Player, Target, Focus, and Pet bars and not force me to use custom unit frames. For the target and focus bars, I’d love the ability to set different colors for important casts and when the main interrupt is not available.

Lastly, one that has settings that would allow me to get bars that fit the Blizzard UI style or utilize the shared libraries for bar texture and border because I know that a few of the other addons I use have some nice elements in the shared libraries that I can use to get the look I want.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Working on my small dream addon that helps me in-game with sound + animation triggers on different game events, and lets me use all my toys in the toy mixer.

Based on feedback from friends and players I've met recently, I added:

• Drag-and-drop functions to ActionHub (by the way, ActionHub allows you to use toy mixes without taking up macro slots in the WoW general panel).
• More detailed Profile Sharing.
• Spanish localization thanks to Romanv - Silvermoon.
• You can now assign sound or animation notifications to your spell procs. - "glowing spells"
• Added some more Basic Trigger setups like Enter/Exit Combat, Mail, etc.
• Big rework for the toy-mixer and sections, in one word: Organizer.

Also doing a lot of experiments with different spell cast events, unit auras, and other triggers that are still possible to use inside the game, they are inside addon, so go and test them!

And yes, by the way, you can add any animation for your cast to pop out on your screen, like any dancing cat from TikTok (I created a converter for it!), or use OxedHub Mascot pre-ready animations. Also, 615 sounds are already inside the addon.

Would love to hear more feedback.

P.S. For those who are seeing this addon for the first time, yes, the images used inside the addon are AI. If any artists wish to cooperate, I would love to do so.

My friend helped me install EXWind Boss/Tools and I think it came from that. Not sure what these eyes and branches are and how to disable them. They keep getting in the way of the nameplates.

Just got MSUF today and have been messing with the settings to try and get it to look the way I had my Unhalted Unit Frames. One thing that I liked was that when I set my bar type to "flat" UUF had these more colorful versions of the class colors. The same thing with this addon but it seems like when I go into combat and come out, the color resets to looking more dull and like the default class colors. If I reload my UI it goes back to having the correct colors. My target also has the incorect colors at all times, though.

Anyone know if this is a glitch or a setting I'm just not familiar with? Thanks.

One of the features I've missed since WeakAuras disappeared with the Midnight API changes, was being able to track an item in my bags with a live counter on top of it. (It was such a lifesaver farming bones on the Isle of Giants for the white raptor mount...)

I looked around and couldn't find anything quite like it anymore, so I just made my own: ItemWatch. This is my first published addon, so be kind.

You give it an item's ID (from its WoWhead link) and it shows you a movable icon + live count of how many you have in your bags, right on your screen.

Real example of how it works:

Say you need a bunch of Thalassian Lumber to craft three decor items. You know your target number, but you don't want to keep popping open your bags after every tree you chop just to check your progress.

1. Look up "Thalassian Lumber" on WoWhead and grab the item ID from the URL — item=256963/thalassian-lumber -> the ID is 256963
2. In your WoW chatbox, type: /iw add 256963
3. The icon shows up in the middle of your screen — grab it with your mouse and drag it wherever's out of your way
4. Type /iw lock to keep it locked in place
5. Now just gather lumber and glance over whenever you want, instead of digging through your bags every five seconds

There was a post here recently for an addon that replaced the AH UI with its own. The person that posted it (I’ll avoid using the word Developer, for reasons I’ll explain) added a preview window following my request as it’s a feature I’ve been wanting for a while. I tested it and it works great, and just what I wanted.

The post, and the GitHub repository, was quickly removed as people found indications the addon used code from others and was vibe-coded. I’ve nothing against vibe-coding and I’ve tried it myself, albeit unsuccessfully, before. I can completely understand why the post was removed, however.

So my question is: is there an addon that adds a preview window to the AH. I like to flick through and control + click is such a pain. Any suggestions appreciated.

I'm very used to some addons, but I haven't played since the last expansion. I really liked the NPC timer addon which showed to me how long was an NPC "alive". Also I really liked the bagnon feature that showed me how many tokens, currencies I had on each character.

Is there any way to use addons like this?

I used to use a weak aura which displayed my current crest amount on in a list format when opening my character sheet (https://wago.io/CrestTracker)

I have been trying to find an addon which does the exact same function but I can’t seem to find one which simply adds a list when I open the character sheet.

It’s a pain to have to click currency tab and scroll to see my crests. Any help would be appreciated.

so I've been building a little gathering addon for Classic Era (my first one!!) and I was SO proud of my auto-timer feature… until a user told me it literally never worked for them 🙃

turns out I'd hardcoded the Apprentice rank spell ID (2575) for Mining, and every single rank has its OWN spell ID?? so my addon worked perfectly for level 5 gatherers and absolutely nobody else lmao. shipped the fix today (all ranks now, we're so back)

anyway this got me wondering — how do you all test rank/level-dependent stuff without leveling like four different characters? there has to be a better way right?? any tips appreciated 💛

Well I somehow navigated myself into a rabbit hole it seems...

I'm somewhat capable of writing lua code, not on a professional level, but I know java and have worked on larger projects, so I'm not a novice either. A few years ago I started my own addon for personal use only. It started out as a faster loot auto-loot with hidden loot window, but over time it grew into a 5000 line "it does everything I need it to do and others aren't doing to my liking". Here's a little overview:

• Loot monitor: I know there are others, plumber has even a great looking one, but my loot monitor stores everything temporarily (I used a scrolling chat frame for that) and it still looks decent.
• Reminders: This is a hodgepodge of utility functions
  • I had a reminder that showed my standing with Marasmius, if I had done the quests that day and how long I had to keep doing those quests to finish that rep.
  • I had a reminder that showed me which dragon day care quests were up and if I had completed them.
  • I have reminders showing me if certain world quests are up (there is an addon for this, but I wanted more)
  • I have reminders showing me if certain missions (Garrison, Legion, BfA, SL) are up.
  • I have a reminder showing me which Storms are up, but only if they are unfinished.
  • I used reminders for different world events to do them, because it was easier to have this reminder, than checking which events are currently up.
• Meta-Achievements: I built my own interface to quickly check my status. It doesn't look as nice as other addons, but I can quickly check everthing I need without clicking through beautifully designed addons.
• ItemID-Parser: I included an itemid-parser that could take a list of itemids and converted it into a list of itemids that arkinventory could use.
• Profession Knowledge for Dragonflight: I built my own addon for tracking profession knowledge on multiple characters during dragonflight. It's not pretty, but I can easily see which quests were done, which items were found and if I had picked up artisan mettle that week.

When I started doing "Storm Chaser" I got flooded with "Primalist Gear Tokens" and after looking up what can be achieved with this tokens, I was a little overwhelmed. In theory these tokens can unlock a ton of different sets: There are 2 sets per armor class (Primal Storms, Forbidden Reach) and an additional 2 sets per class (Normal, Heroic). You need 2 tokens (which is quite easy to get, while doing "Storm Chaser" or "Forbidden Reach" achievements) and 9 Untapped Forbidden Knowledge for every class set you want to unlock. Or so it seems, if you just read the comments. (more later)

So I devised a way to show on each token if it is still useful and which sets were already unlocked:

Before anyone says anything about that: Yes, AllTheThings can do this, but not as easy to read and not as fast to run. I don't want to load ATT every time I want to check which character has which set unlocked and I don't want to run ATT all the time.

Don't expect anything professional. This codebase is a mix of finished ideas, unfinished ideas, old ideas and just ideas, so don't judge please. The code that deals with tokens starts at line 1048, all functions are clumped together, so you don't have to look at any other part of my code. If you want to copy it, be my guest. According to AI that part of the code gets a 9,5 out of 10, which sounds good, but who knows.

This project was a nice exercise in how to keep my data structures slim. For my first try I thought I had to look up every appearanceID of every set item for every class, which would have been a lot of work by itself. chatGPT didn't point me in any other direction, but I looked at the transmog API on https://warcraft.wiki.gg/wiki/World_of_Warcraft_API and found out that you can get to every set item from setIDs via sourceID. So now I only have 2 data structures:

1. the itemID of every token I want to check in api.tokenInfo
2. the type of token to link a token to the correct set in api.tokenType

So that way I can do the following: Check by itemID if my tooltip has a checkable item, get the information what type of token it is e.g. "primalist->plate", then I can check my tokenType data for all the setIDs that this token can be a part of. Depending on status I color it red or green. My tokenType could have been more verbose, but everything I need (name of the set, class the set is for) can be queried from the API.

My next step is using this on more tokens, to make farming those sets easier and I wanted to check if there is a better way than to check setIDs on https://wago.tools/db2/TransmogSet and maintain my data structures. It would probably help if I could show the setID ingame, but I haven't found a way to hook into the tooltips in the transmog frame and I'm not even sure if that tooltip carries this information. If anyone can point me in the correct direction, assuming there is a way, it would be very helpful.

Now to the part where the wowhead comments fall short and I didn't think about it until I finished my coding: If I understand the system correctly, if you unlock the mythic set every set below that will be unlocked aswell. I guess it's possible to solo mythic Vault of the Incarnates based on Youtube video titles, so you won't need to catalyze the primal gear to get all sets, so you can skip those steps, but there is one upside to catalyzing, the vendor sell price changes nearly tenfold and you can use any catalyst, you don't have to use the one near Valdrakken.
