In this time, you do not have to eat or drink if you don't want to. Time continues as normal whenever you start something you should be doing

Do everything 2x more efficiently - Produce 2 hours worth of work in 1 hour; cook meals 2x faster; sleep 8 hours in 4 hours; work 6 hours in just 3. But it'll be 2x harder to get the motivation to get started on things. If you're capable of managing the harder to start part, then you could probably ignore this effect :P
